This is really intended for Republicans who did not follow the primaries on the Democrats’ side this year (because, well, we guess you took a nice long Atlantis cruise to Mars, in which case, color us jealous).
The same pattern that unfolded during our primaries is happening again, because the media has just one tattered old used playbook (written by David Axelrod, of course), and they have not deviated from it yet. What the media and Obama campaign did, in concert, to Hillary Clinton before every major primary is what they are doing to McCain/Palin now. Here are the top three media/Obama head tricks to watch out for in the last days before the election.
If you, collectively, can keep Republicans and other McCain voters from falling for these, we believe there’s nothing Obama can do to win this election. The ONLY way McCain loses is if you Eeyores allow the media to keep you from the polls.
Head Games Coming Your Way:
(1) Calls for McCain to just give up and quit, because the race is over. This one is a favorite of the trolls who lurk on pro-McCain sites. We get them here, despite all the spraying and fumigating we do, but notice how we ignore these trolls. We’ve identified two paid Obama staffers who have been assigned to HillBuzz. We picked them up around the same time people from Ace and LGF started picking up some of our stuff — so our guess is they were assigned to us by whoever was monitoring those sites. They’re different trolls than the ones assigned to us during the primaries (we only had one back then, so evidently we’ve gotten more on the radar now). One of them starts posting “her” concern troll remarks here at 8am. The other one starts “his” remarks around 5pm or so. It appears there are two shifts for the trolls — and from what we can see, they share the same computer and IP address. And it’s an address right here in Chicago. Imagine that. We wonder if we’ve ever run into these people at Houlihan’s on Michigan Avenue after one of their shifts, as that’s where a lot of Obama staffers like to go for a drink, and where we often hang out to see what we can overhear while pretending to read a book over a little dinner. Since we’re going to be in Ohio the rest of the time before the election, we’re okay with letting you in on that little bit, as we won’t be able to eavesdrop on you anymore. But the information these Obama staffers inadvertantly provided was really helpful on a lot of things. A great way to see how the race was going was to listen for how “audacious” these people felt that day. That’s their internal lingo: “Are you feelin’ it? Are you feelin’ audacious today?”. “Nope, not feelin’ the audacity today, ’cause we know those PA polls are bogus and BO’s not gonna take the state”. Word to the wise: these staffers were never as “audacious” as the media and skewed polls have insisted they should be.
It’s so funny, but when you work on these campaigns every day and give up all of your free time and all other activities for this, you just know when the media’s lying and reading from an Axelrod script. The coerographed calls for Hillary Clinton to drop out of the race before New Hampshire, before Super Tuesday, before Ohio and Texas, before Pennsylvania, before West Virgina, before Kentucky, before Indiana, and before South Dakota were completely ridiculous to us — and yet, Eeyores always listened, and lost enthusiasm and drive because ‘the TV said Hillary needs to just quit”. We know this kept some Eeyores from going out to vote, because they thought, “Why bother? The TV told me she’s gonna lose!”. Well, the TV lies. And the toaster says you’re fat. Unfortunately, the toaster’s telling the truth. The microwave tells you to set fires – and that just means you’re nuts, because why would it do that?
The ONLY way McCain loses this race is if the media, operating as a full-fledged wing of the Obama campaign, breeds enough Eeyores amongst you to keep enough people home for Obama to squeak out wins. Hillary Clinton should have won Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Indiana, by larger margins that she did. Ohio should have been a 13-point win, Pennsylvania should have been a 12-point win, and Indiana should have been a 9-point win. Eeyores staying home, saying, “Oh bother, TV say me stay home, me sad, need dydee changed!” is what cost Hillary those extra points.
Don’t be Eeyores on Tuesday! Get those Eeyore butts off your couches, away from toxic TV, and GO VOTE. Get everyone you know to vote — tell them if they don’t, then Obama will turn America socialist, and we’re going to start with their house and bank account when we begin redistributing wealth. That should motivate them.
(2) Wild claims of Obama winning states that shock and surprise you. Since Obama believes there are 57 states (maybe 58 or 59, depending on how he’s counting that day), the Obamedia will report huge wins for Dear Leader in the states of Confusion, Denial, and Undress, with Atlantis, Oz, Hopetopia, and Leningrad all going to Obama early on November 4th — because everyone loves Obama so much, that places that don’t even exist have voted for him (with 100% of the vote of the dead, cartoon characters, and historical figures going to Dear Leader in unprecedented numbers). The best example of the Obamedia making up lies like this was on Super Tuesday, when every Eeyore we knew ran through the streets crying and pants-wetting, gnashing their teeth and yanking their hair as the sky fell around them — BECAUSE OBAMA IS WINNING CALIFORNIA! MASSACHUSETTS! ARKANSAS! TENNESSEE! NEW JERSEY! NEW YORK! WAAAAAAAAH! DOOOOOOOMED!
Honestly, we are never kidding when we say what a true living Hell Eeyores have made our lives since January. We never joke when we tell you how much damage these people have done. Just using HillBuzz as an example, there are at least 3 essays each day we would love to have time to write, on topics we feel are important, or on intel we get from sources in the Democratic party (or eavesdropped off Obama staffers or at Obama events), but we don’t have time to get to them because we are on the phone with Eeyores, or answering Eeyores frantic emails with questions we’ve answered 1,000 times before, or talking Eeyores off their ledges after they’ve been listening to MSNBC again. Eeyores are time burglars.
Ironically, we have to admit that HillBuzz wouldn’t even exist without these people, however. We started this blog in February of 2008 because we couldn’t focus the work we were doing for upcoming primaries because Eeyores needed constant reassurance that, yes, Hillary would win Ohio and Texas. So, instead of individually sending articles to prove to Eeyores that, yes, Hillary would win Ohio and Texas, we just started the original HillBuzz at Blogspot as a quick and easy clearinghouse for information Eeyores could access and calm themselves down with. Five of us teamed up here in Boystown to maintain this blog as thoroughly as possible, which became a running stream of our thoughts on our campaign and what we thought of the latest Obamedia lies.
So, we realize HillBuzz would have never been started if it wasn’t for this need to treat Eeyores and calm them down. Not that we excuse any of you people for you crippling pessimism and gloom meets doom, but we have truly enjoyed running HillBuzz (and will enjoy maintaining it as we support Hillary Clinton for the next 4 years in her role as junior Senator from New York, working with President McCain and Vice President Palin on energy indepedence, JOBS, and whatever else Clinton champions during the McCain Administration).
We’re glad we’re here right now to remind Republicans who’ve found us through Rush, LGF, Ace and other places that the Obamedia deliberately called states for Obama he had no hope of winning, just to freak Eeyores out and keep them from voting.
If you do just ONE THING today, we ask you a personal favor: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go to as many Republican blogs as you can and WARN THEM that the Obamedia will tell you all weekend that Obama is winning Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Florida, Iowa, Virginia, West Virginia, and other states we do not believe Obama will win (except for Iowa, which we still think goes to Obama, but our best sources claim McCain now leads in internals by 1 point). They are already starting to say truly crazy things like “Obama will win Louisiana and Arkansas!”, and that’s just nuts. That is your equivalent of the Obamedia swearing up and down that the Kennedys and Oprah would win Massachusetts and California for Obama. WE knew that was pure cockamamie nonsense, but Eeyores wet their pants on cue over this. So, the Obamedia’s marching orders are to freak all of you out with SHOCKING DEVELOPMENTS! in Lousiana, Arkansas, Georgia, etc. just to shake your faith and confidence.
This is like in Little League when the opposing team would chant, “Hey batta hey batta hey batta hey batta hey batta sa-weeeeeeeeeng batta” when you were at the plate, to make you swing too soon or too late. Just to psych you out. And that nonsense actually worked on Team Hillary, because we lost a lot of volunteers who Eeyored off the face of the Earth just before Super Tuesday, so convinced of unprecedented blow-out doom.
So, when you see the Obamedia doing all of this to McCain, please know they are crying wolf again. Don’t let that demoralize you!
(3) Repeated insistance that blacks and young people will decide this election, and they are all going to vote in record numbers for Obama. First of all, black voters have always voted Democratic in massive numbers. We don’t think blacks have ever voted for Republicans in any substantial way in any race we can think of. Blacks vote as a race-bloc, and they always vote for the Democrat. Maybe Obama will get blacks who have never voted before to vote for him, or blacks who don’t bother to vote on Election Day to show up and vote, but we doubt that it will be very many people. Black voters were highly motivated to vote in 2004 because they felt George W. Bush stole the 2000 election, and they saw that as a civil rights issue that increased black turnout to one of the highest levels we have ever seen. Remember, Jesse Jackson almost won Election 2000 for Gore but was stopped by the Gore campaign, in the form of Donna Brazile. Watch the HBO movie Recount. Jackson felt the Florida Recount was a civil rights/voter disenfranchisement issue at its heart, and wanted to press that to the public. He revved the black community up and flew down to Tallahassee, but Gore and Brazile made him get back on a plane to Chicago. That was a critically stupid move…and you know how the recount ended.
So, in 2004, THAT’S what the black community thought about, and THAT’S what made people vote to kick Bush out of the White House, for stealing it from Gore in 2000. We just don’t know what people are left to vote in the black community who didn’t vote in 2004, when they were revved up to vote against Bush — a president the black community hates. What we think the Obamedia ignores is the fact the black community is totally ambivalent to McCain and is focused totally on Obama, and the race-pride they feel voting for a black candidate. If this race-pride could be quantified, we feel it would be a positive force pushing Obama forward almost exactly equal in impact to the force pushing Kerry forward the black community generated by hating Bush. There’s no McCain hate working against the Republicans this year, and there was no Kerry love in 2004.
So, mathematically this works out as:
Obama-love + McCain-hate = Bush-hate + Kerry-love = impact of black voters
We, thus, believe Obama will not have much more support from blacks than Kerry did, since Democrats win almost all black voters anyway. This year will be no different.
We also feel young voters are the Holy Grail of election delusions, because every Democrat, every election, claims “young people love me and will come out in record numbers to vote for me!”. Well, let us just tell you that early voting ended today in Chicago. In our building, there is a suite full of about 6 frat boys who sometimes stop us in the laundry room to talk politics. They are all hot DePaul hockey players, so we are glad to chat them up any time they want. All of them said they were going to vote for Obama, and all of them forgot to early vote. All of them have class and work on Tuesday. We honestly believe all 6 of these guys are going to forget to vote on Election Day — and the polling station for our neighborhood is literally one street away. We think this will happen not just with the hot hockey players in our building, but in many other buildings in Chicago, and in cities across the US.
As you move out of urban areas, it becomes more of a challenge to get to polling places, as they get further and further apart. That means college students, and Obama’s youth army, need to move further and further out of their daily norm to actually vote. With class, work, and Nintendo Wii, that becomes a big burden, especially since they’re going to whoop it up all Halloween weekend having an absolute drunken blast, and will have a lot to catch up on come Tuesday, since Monday they will be still hungover and not functional.
We’re astonished no one has ever thought of this before to explain why young people don’t turn up to vote in the numbers the media predicts: it’s because of Halloween. Not JUST because of Halloween, but Halloween has a lot to do with it, especially this year, when Halloween falls in perfect synch to form three days of wild, costumed debauchery. Monday is hangover day, which means nothing got done Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and now Monday, so Tuesday pressure builds to catchup on class or work or whatever.
Ironically, the Obamedia’s constant drumbeat that Obama’s so far ahead will, ironically, keep a lot of these people from actually voting — since they think he will win in a landslide without them, and one vote doesn’t matter. “Oh, we meant to vote, but we got, like, busy. And stuff.”
We hear this every 4 years. Why should this year be any different?
So, in essence, if just comes down to Republicans getting out to vote and ignoring the above head games the Obamedia is already cooking up for you.
This reminds us of the book I Am Legend by Richard Matheson — not the lame movie versions, but the actual truly terrifying book. In it, there’s a man in a house who’s the last sane person in a world gone mad, filled with infected people, who come out every night and stand outside his house and shout terrible things at him to make him kill himself or come outside so they can do the job for him. People this guy used to know and love are infected, and come out each night to use every psycholgical trick they can to get this guy out of the house so they can kill him. And the guy sometimes starts to buy into this, because it’s such pressure, and the taunts and jeers are relentless, and sometimes he just can’t take it, and he crumples to the ground in the face of all this negative saturation. He cracks. He breaks. It’s brutal. And this happens each and every day.
That’s what the media is doing for Obama right now.
You do realize that, don’t you?
It’s all a head game, a fake out. All of this talk about Obama being ahead is just garbage the Obamedia shovels to make you give up and sit home so Obama can win. That’s what breeds Eeyores. And Eeyores giving up and staying home is why Hillary Clinton won Indiana by only 1% when she should have won it by 9%. It really is as simple as that.
So, heads up out there — if you can get Rush to talk about this stuff on air, it would do Republicans a world of good. Make as many people see the media for what they are — a paid extension of the Obama campaign — as humanly possible, keep your heads up, and let’s put another crack in the glass ceiling by making Sarah Palin the nation’s first female Vice President, while putting a good and decent man we trust behind the Resolute Desk where all of us Democrats know he’ll work effectively with Senator Clinton and other Democrats to fix our economy, create good jobs, and make America energy independent for good.
If we work hard, we will win.

“…to form three days of wild, costumed debauchery. Monday is hangover day, which means nothing got done Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and now Monday, so Tuesday pressure builds to catchup on class or work or whatever.”
And this year the Phila delphia Phillies won the World Series and the Parade and Celebration starts on Friday but I’m sure everyone will be celebrating all weekend!

Question for you all.
Why is Obama proposing a “strong, powerful and well funded” National Civilian Security Force:

While at the same time planning to gut our military and make us defenseless?

Does this smell of Brownshirts, or is it just me?

Thanks for the great info – let’s all work together very hard and win this!
October 31, 2008 at 2:20 am
I loved this line: “And the toaster says you’re fat.” That would be a great subtitle for this post! haha Or you talking up the hot DePaul hockey players.
Excellent as always.
I think Republicans recognize 1 and 3. Number 2 is trickier. I saw a report recently about Montana being in play. Ha. What a joke. I rolled my eyes and dismissed it, but not everyone does. They read this and begin to panic.
My advice to everyone: TURN OFF THE TV!!! Just turn it on on the eve of Nov. 4 to witness the meltdown of the entire MSNBC staff and the rest of the media asking, “How did this happen???”
I’ll send Rush a link to this post. He needs to keep talking about this stuff and encourage everyone to just get out there and vote!
btw-my absentee ballot is in the mail!

I totally remember the Obama worshiping media telling us all that Hillary was “down” in California. I freaked out. She won by double digits! Then it was “she’s down in Ohio.” She won by double digits. Then she was “down” in Penn; of course, she won by double digits! It happened all of the time, and then of course the election would come and demographics would carry the day. People voted against Obama en masse. Demographics should carry the day again. This is a center-right country. Obama is a far left candidate. Let’s hope and pray people see beyond the smoke and mirrors given to us by the media and by the Obama campaign.

There is one concern I have about election night… if anyone remembers 2000… media outlets were calling states early for certain candidates while the polls were still open… as a result some people didn’t vote. Also, it’s a fact that Democrats are more likely to take the time to take part in an exit poll than a Republican… I suspect the MSM… will pump this up…and may try and sway the election.
October 31, 2008 at 3:17 am
Hillbuzz – when McCain pulls this thing off, you all should get a medal…

Your lessons on how to evade the Obamamedia’s trickery are invaluable and inspiring. Please keep them coming!

Not sure if you will be passing through Cincinnati on your tour of Ohio???….but you will LOVE it if you do. McCain is EVERYWHERE. I told you the other day, Obama signs are coming down here…REALLY. It is so funny to watch. We had a crew of 8 guys working on our home yesterday (great finacial times to do home renovation UH???) They were a split on the canidates…by the end of the day…after a lot of talking, Fox news on all day..and informing them of this site!!!! They are all voting McCain now. They were so taken aback. Could not believe they had never heard this info before. We told them NBC…nothing but crap….is not the REAL news!!!! They will all be working here beyond the election. I have been campaigning in the McCain office here…they all asked for signs to take home!!!! The “joe the plumber” was a big help…can you believe a couple of them had NEVER heard about it? AMAZING!!!!!

First of all I want to say thank you to everyone at Hillbuzz. I’m a OEF Veteran (10 years in the Navy and a woman) and I was for Rudy at first and then Senator McCain, but at no time did I ever think that if Hillary got elected (which I thought she would get the nomination) that I would be afraid for my husband to serve under her. I didn’t know to the extent of the cheating of Obama until about a month ago. Hillary was robbed of the nomination no doubt. I would hope that every American would fight for what’s right after seeing and reading about all the Obama fraud.
Here’s my little take on Obama trying to be POTUS. My husband just had to finish his new security check and we started talking about how O would never be able to even pass a simple security clearence. Someone running for POTUS can not pass a background check, how far we have falles I suppose. Anyway, I cannot express how thankful I am to everyone at this site. Yes, ther are plent of Eyore’s on both sides, but you guys have lifted me when I needed it.
With all that said, first I want to say I’m sorry that it has taken this long for both sides (Amercians) to really come together (not in a photo op on Capital Hill) and find out they we are so much more alike than different. Sure, we can disagree on certain ussues, but we all love this Country all the same. I’m happy to fight with you anytime, any place. My hope is your hope, lets find a way to work together for America and not party. Let’s win this thing.
I think us working together is what the Founding Fathers had in mind…

Hey hey hey…don’t diss conservative icon Charlton Heston’s “Omega Man” 1971 version of I Am Legend…we fourtysomethings grew up on the Sunday Night Movie repeats that introduced “The Family” (the liberal media and the Obot zombies) and Matthias (a composite of Chris Matthews/Keith Olbermann).
October 31, 2008 at 5:54 am
I also heard on the morning news that Montana was in play. I couldn’t believe it!
Then I got on this site and read this wonderful report which renewed my hope.
I think I’d better stop watching TV until Election Day.
Also, that book ‘I Am Legend’ sounds interesting. I think I’ll stop in my library later and see if it is available.
Thanks so much Hillbuzz and all the commenters.

Absolutely.
The other day I saw a rumor that McCain will be campaigning in his home state of Arizona this weekend. I even checked his site to see if he had anything scheduled, of course he didn’t.

I’m thinking of putting some of my hard earned money into the stock market-for ani depressants that is. I’m sure there will be a huge demand once the myth of the Obamacorn is debunked.
October 31, 2008 at 7:19 am
Thank you, thank you, thank you HillBuzz! I couldn’t wait to get up this morning and read your website! I have been so demoralized by everything I see in the media. While I am a conservative Republican, I used to watch Hardball, and more recently Morning Joe, but I just can’t do it anymore. Much too depressing . . .
On another note, this suburban housewife in the metro-Atlanta area did vote early on Tuesday. Even though I am an Eeyore, nothing was going to keep me from voting. My husband, who always votes for the Libertarian candidate, will vote for McCain-Palin on Tuesday, too! For the first time in my life, I have a political yard sign–and, I notice the M-P signs keep going up! While GA is not in play (though according to the MSM our Senator, Chambliss, may be in trouble), I have to believe that there are many people around the country who are paying attention and fearful of what will happen to our country with an Obama presidency.
Thank you again, HillBuzz, for your work. I will keep reading

I e-mailed Sean Hannity and Rush to ask them to spend the rest of the time before the election WARNING McCain voters about the head-fakes 0bama and the 0bama media will pull – just like they did to Hillary – only worse.
The most important thing is to TELL McCain people what to expect, explain what 0bama’s little game is, tell them to turn off their TVs and TELL THEM TO VOTE.
At work so I can’t call into the radio shows, but am hoping that anybody – everybody – who’s able to will call Rush and Hannity today through Tuesday – refer them to Hillbuzz and what this article says!
Thank you, Hillbuzz!
October 31, 2008 at 8:48 am
Great Pep Talk! Thanks so much… it really helps all of us to keep going and to keep encouraging our friends, relatives, neighbors and coworkers to get out and VOTE!
I have quit watching certain TV channels and going to websites that pretend to be impartial but are really discouraging, so as not to demoralize myself.
BTW, making donations to 527s running great ads in battleground states are good therapy for those who “wish there was something more that they could do!”
October 31, 2008 at 8:53 am
My mom is an Eeyore and it’s very draining. She thinks Obama is going to win in a landslide because that’s what she hears on TV everyday. I keep telling her that the polls are oversampling Dems, the media is in the tank for BO, and that people are just plain afraid to admit they’re voting for McCain for fear of being called a “racist,” which is almost as bad as being called a pedophile today. My Obama friends know where I stand on all of this — I cannot support a candidate with so many red flags who has no record of actual achievement and who cheated in the caucuses. And of course, the treatment of our candidate Hillary by the media and the DNC was unforgivable.
I’m working on my mother as she flip flops between Obama and McCain daily. She concedes that McCain is the better man, but she can’t stand Palin (doesn’t like her hairdo or shoes, stuff like that). I tell her that I’m voting for McCain over Obama not Palin over Obama.
And let’s not forget about Joe Biden, who adds absolutely zero to the ticket and may actually have cost Obama votes with his myriad gaffes. Obviously, he was the last man that Obama went to after everyone else had turned him down because they didn’t want to go down with the proverbial ship in November.
The point is, those of us who are not Eeyores and actually know something about presidential elections have had to spend an enormous amount of time and energy educating and finessing these gullible, if well-intentioned souls.
Now I wasn’t around for the Truman upset back in the 40’s, but does anybody remember Ronald Reagan in 1980? That was an upset too. And what about Kerry? He was ahead in the polls at this point also in 2004.
Eeyores et al, stop allowing yourselves to be brainwashed by the tube. There are millions of Dems who will be voting for McCain on Tuesday. I, for one, can’t wait to pull that lever.
October 31, 2008 at 8:55 am
One component is missing. There are no Super Delegates in the national election to cheat by pushing Obama over the finish line.
I think (hope) that the more the media calls this race done, the more the people will be energized to vote. And….a lot of small town rural churches in these swing states will be encouraging their members to get out and vote.
To add to this, what I don’t understand is why the media and the DNC think that the conservative right that won the election for Bush, won’t win the election for McCain?
I would be shocked if they are not as energized to vote AGAINST Obama as they were to vote FOR Bush.
The media LOVES Obama so much, they are blind….absolutly blind to the fact that there are voters who find Obama and his socialist leanings extremely scary. They are ignoring what they don’t want to hear.
October 31, 2008 at 8:58 am
Anyone who supported Hillary in the primary has seen this act before, with the Obama camp and the MSM. However, I think history has shown that it all has the exact OPPOSITE effect of suppressing the vote. Beginning in New Hampshire, the more the MSM bashed Hillary and tried to say it was over and write her political obituary, the more it fired up Hillary’s base and got them out to vote. And the MSM coverage just might make that young voter think that Obama has it won already, and they will go play video games instead of standing in line to vote. So far, an early voters poll in Florida shows no huge turnout by the 18-29 crowd.
I think GOP voters and conversatives will “crawl through glass” to get to the polls this year. They are historically pretty reliable voters. I also think the country will be surprised at the turnout of those so-called “values” voters – the ones that came out in 2004 and really helped W pull it out over Kerry.
A recent LA Times/Bloomberg poll is pretty interesting in regard to Florida early voters. So far, Dem ballots outnumber the GOP 56-39%; however, McCain is leading Obama 49-45%. This can be nothing other than the effect of Hillary Democrats (go PUMAS), and it’s not surprising. Hillary supporters from FL remember all too well being disenfranchised from having any affect on the nomination.
October 31, 2008 at 8:59 am
Great post, Hillbuzz, thank you! I’m in Miami, FL on my way to do Visibility work at an early polling location. I’m a Hillary supporter campaigning for McCain/Palin. I’ve been doing this all week. There are a lot of Obama supporters at these polling places and they are for the most part very tense, uptight people. I carry signs that say: Democrat for McCain; We are all Joe the plumber–McCain speaks for us, Barack wants your money, vote no! Voting for Barack? Also voting for Barack: Ayers, Khalidi, Wright, Rezko, Farrakhan.
It’s interesting to watch the people in the voting lines. The wait is long, about 2 to 3 hours, and people look at my signs. Some of the democrat voters get insulted and make rude comments. I also see surreptitious smiles and thumbs up. I think people are very cautious about acknowledging they’re going to vote McCain because they get put down for it. I get my courage from knowing how courageous John McCain and Sarah Palin are today! There are visitors helping us. Yesterday I met a young Australian woman, who flew to Miami at her own expense to campaign for Sarah Palin. She wears a Sarah Palin cap and holds a Sarah sign. She resembles Sarah, a younger version without glasses. I’m so impressed!!!
I’ve met several of my liberal friends at the polling places who are campaigning for Obama and they really don’t like to see what I am doing! They are angry and make it apparent that they think I’m completely misguided.
Why, then, do I know I’m right? I’m utterly convinced that I’m doing the right thing. Your blog, and especially this post, really help!

Thanks for the post. I appreciate your hard work.
But my PUMA friends, I beg you to be careful with your comparisons. Given that your own primary was so heavily tampered with, I don’t understand why you mentioned the endless meme that Bush “stole” the 2000 election. This site stands for optimism and truth, and that false charge is diluting your arguments against Obama’s dishonest caucus tactics. Bush won Florida in a very, very close vote, and in almost every recount scenario, he STILL won. The infamous butterfly ballot was chosen by a DEMOCRAT. Even the left-leaning Miami Herald recounted the ballots and confirmed the results. If anything, Bush would have won by even more had the networks not called the state early, depressing turnout in the red panhandle, and I say this as a conservative who is very disappointed in some of his decisions.
Outright voter intimidation, throwing away votes, and busing in supporters from another state to overwhelm a caucus, however? THAT is stealing an election. There’s a big difference, so please don’t water down your accusations against Obama’s primary shenanigans by lumping him in with the legitimate results out of Florida.

I posted this to the “Eeyore Free Zone” section (comment 46 or thereabouts), but since I feel it important, I’ll repeat it here.
This is just one paragraph of a very interesting article from an Obama operative coming clean. She describes herself as a Hillary supporter who was brought over into Bamaland to work in the dirty tricks section of his national campaign. You can read the whole letter at today’s (10/31) “atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com”. The name of the article is: “A Hillary Staffer Comes Clean… It’s Wild”, but the title could be a typo and should read: “An Obama Staffer… ” Anyway, if you ever wanted to confirm your suspicions.
Check out the article. Then you’ll know much better the origin and organized intent of “eeyorism” and what the Obamite’s fears are. Here you go:
“I’m going to let you in on a few secrets here, and this is not because I enjoy the gossip or the attention directed my way. I’m doing this because I doubt much of you know the true weaknesses of Obama. Another reason for my doing this is that I am lost faith in this campaign, and feel that this choice has been forced on many people in this country. Put simply, you are being manipulated. That was and is our job – to manipulate you (the electorate) and the media (we already had them months ago). Our goal is to create chaos with the other side, not hope. I’ve come to the realization (as the campaign already has) that if this comes to the issues, Barack Obama doesn’t have a chance. His only chance is to foster disorganization, chaos, despair, and a sense of inevitability among the Republicans. It has worked up until now. Joe the Plumber has put the focus on the issues again, and this scares us more than anything. Being in a position to know these things, I will rate what the Obama campaign already knows are their weak links from the most important on down.”
Did this whet your whistle?
October 31, 2008 at 9:46 am
Thank you for this post Hillbuzz! I will send other people to it because they need to know the tricks too!
Another strategy they will use is to call the election early. Karl Rove wrote an article about it in the Wall Street Journal. By his estimates, this early calling in 2000 probably kept 500,000 people from voting. Here’s the link to the WSJ article:

Keep up the good work Hillbuzz!

Re: “They are already starting to say truly crazy things like “Obama will win Louisiana and Arkansas!”, and that’s just nuts.”
I have lived my entire life, 31 years, in Arkansas. Obama WILL NOT win Arkansas nor has he even been close in any poll taken here. If anyone from the Obama camp actually said this recently, then they are either a certified idiot or completely delusional of rational thought. While there are a few Obama signs and bumper stockers around here, the McCain signs and stickers are everywhere. My wife and I volunteered a couple of times at the County Republican headquarters about 2 weeks ago and at that time over 1800 McCain signs had gone through the doors; I do not know what that total is up to now. When letters to the editor of our local newspaper (in a town of about 20,000) are written regarding the presidential election, the comments on the papers website are generally 80-90% pro-McCain.
Harding University, which is a Christian university, is here, and it’s influence on the community helps McCain. That being said, there are some Obama supporting professors there, which I find odd. The other night a student called and said there were calling alumni to solicit donations to the University, and I told her that we would not be donating anything as long as the University employed liberal, Obama supporting professors :)
I predict the county I live in to go 70-30 for McCain, and Arkansas as a whole 60-40 for McCain. 6 electoral college votes for McCain-Palin ‘08!

As a GOPer I can tell you that NOTHING the Empty Suit tries will keep us from voting (except for a small group of hand-wringers). We Republicans are used to the MSM portraying our candidate in a negative light and polls skewing against him/her. Happens every four years. I have no use for polls anyway. They won’t make me change my vote or stay home on Tuesday so what good are they ?
Annoy the media ! Vote McPalin !

Wow, only 3. I would have expected way more than that.
1. I for one don’t want McCain to quit, I want him to stand up there, fight his hardest and get his ass handed to him. Much more fun of an outcome.
2. Why would the MSM want to overvalue Obama’s support? All that would do it get more McCain supporters to motivate. If they are really all just for Obama then they should under report how he’s doing to try and get groups like young people to vote more.
3. Blacks and young people never really come out and vote as much as other groups. No reason to expect different this time but if it does actually happen they are going more for Obama. So ‘pray’ that they don’t vote to help you candidate, I mean why would we want a true democratic process where more people are involved in the decision making. Let’s take a few, hand-picked people to make all the decisions.

How would Jesse Jackson playing the race card–that is, being himself–in 2000 have changed the outcome? The count was the count, as grudgingly verified by sources like the NY Times later on. But you are quite right. The MSM/dem party/Obama campaign will lie, cheat and steal at an unheard of pace over the next 72 hours.
October 31, 2008 at 10:57 am
I stopped watching TV news a month ago. The obamamedia p*ssed me off too much.
It’s harder to avoid people around me saying The One is a surefire win. I reply that the polls are inaccurate because Democrats are oversampled and not all Dems are voting for The One. My protests fall on deaf ears. Thank goodness for Hillbuzz! You’re a reality check against the insanity.
October 31, 2008 at 11:00 am
I’d love to see my state (PA) go for McCain. It will be a tough climb, but there are some special features here that make it possible.
1) PUMAs and other sensible Democrats that may just find Sen. Obama a poor choice. The size of Sen. Clinton’s victory was quite impressive. Since then a lot of stuff about Sen. Obama’s socialist views has come out.
2) 2nd Amendment voters. This is a huge pro-hunting and pro-guns for self defense state. Sen. Obama has a clear record of opposing guns, carry permits, “castle defense” thinking, etc. Sen. McCain got the NRA endorsement – that’s a big thing here. Despite his campaign finance law support that the NRA hated, they recognize McCain will support the 2nd Amendment and Gov. Palin is a hunter.
3) Astonishing anti-PA statements by Sen. Obama (bitter, clinging, etc.), Sen. Biden (no new coal plants in the USA), and Cong. Murtha (racists, rednecks, and let’s not forget “marines committed murder”). A lot of coal gets mined in Western PA (bituminous country) and northern PA (anthracite country).
The thing to watch on Election Night is how well Sen. Obama is doing early in the evening. Phila. and Pittsburgh report early. The surrounding areas and the conservative “T” section report late. If Sen. Obama has a massive PA lead early, it will be hard for Sen. McCain to overcome it in the less populous areas outside the two main cities. If the lead is moderate, then Sen. McCain may squeak through and take the state. “Massive” is probably on the order of 450K votes, but take that with a grain of salt.
I’m a moderate Republican, and I voted for Bill Clinton in 1992. I’m delighted about and grateful for the Democrats supporting McCain-Palin in 2008! This race is winnable.
October 31, 2008 at 11:16 am
Of course an overwhelming majority of Obama supports expect him to win. I suppose it is just a head game that according to Gallup even the majority likely Republican voters expect Obama to win.
October 31, 2008 at 11:18 am
Thanks for the great advice. After I get done reading the rest of your new stuff, I’ll start sending the link to this article around to people I know who are discouraged about the election. I’ll also see if I can find some republician blogs to post this on to help other Eeyores like myself.
Greta Van Sustern had Karl Rove on last night and they were talking about his electorial map. I couldn’t believe he showed both Montana and North Dakota is the undecided column! Next thing you know, they’ll be saying Utah is in play as the Mormon church has come out and endorsed Obama!! Not going to happen with their pro-life and family stances but you can bet if the obamessiah’s people thought they could get away with saying it, they would.
I agree with your assessment of the youth vote. Every year we hear how they’re the voting block that is going to determine this election but it just doesn’t pan out. Rock the Vote was a bust in 2004 and this year is no different.
October 31, 2008 at 11:24 am
My father is a pollster in Louisiana, and I know McCain consistently polls well over 60%. Not a shock to anyone here.
Folks down South aren’t the least bit intimidated by Obama’s media, nor his thugs. Turnout will be huge.
I’ll keep my eye out for any BS and crush it wherever it pops up.

Mary Beth -
I find it hard to imagine why we need a ‘”strong, powerful and well funded” National Civilian Security Force’.
Hey, we’ve got the TSA, look at how well THAT works. Unless the plan is to implement a TSA-like force throughout the country – with checkpoints on the highways where we have to show travel papers or internal passports – I can’t really see the legitimate purpose.
I COULD see a corps or division strength adjunct to the military designed, trained, funded and equipped to deal with domestic disasters – earthquakes, hurricane recovery and the like – (rather like FEMA, but better equipped) but a “Civilian Security Force” the equal of the military? That reeks badly of someone who’s not going to be exiting gracefully at the end of his term.

There is a susurrus in this country. I can hear it’s whisper…McCain will win, McCain will win.
The music of that unseen waterfall that McCain will win is that susurrus that is growing in my town, my state, my country that I love. Country First!

However, we scraped together $200 to support HillBuzzers in their most important effort to date. The one that’s going to pull us over the finish line. I am going to vote for McCain in Massachusetts. I think that McCain has no chance of winning here, so you would think that my vote is wasted.
But, it goes into the national totals. If the worst happens, it cuts into the idea that Obama has a mandate. At least, 1 more vote against the mandate.
October 31, 2008 at 12:30 pm
Another trick which the media (Associated Press) used during the Dem primaries. As it became clear on the last primary day that Mrs. Clinton was going to win South Dakota (which a week before the media was touting as a lock-in for Obama), the AP released a news flash claiming unnamed sources inside her campaign were saying she was going to concede, and withdraw from the primaries. My guess was they wanted to depress turnout. You will also have noticed recently lot of anonymously sourced stories of fighting in the Republican Party (to convince readers that the GOP thinks it is over). Be ready for more of these.
October 31, 2008 at 12:31 pm
As a republican, Thank-you for all you have done. I come from a long line of union democrats who are not voting for Obama here in Ohio. We’ve long wondered how Obama is ahead here when not a single one of us knows a soul over the age of 30 who is voting for him? I wish you all luck in taking your party back from the far left who have taken it over since 2006. Hopefully by an Obama defeat this will send them back into the shadows for another 30 years.

October 31, 2008 at 12:42 pm
We hear this every 4 years. Why should this year be any different?
Because Obama told them to vote early/absentee. (But I still don’t think enough of them did, to offset Tuesday.)
October 31, 2008 at 12:42 pm
Although some college students are lazy, taking 2-3 hours out to vote (which could be possible this year) is a tough thing for them to do. For working Joe’s (no pun intended), we work 8 hours a day. A two hour wait would just mean less television that day. If I go after work, I should remember to bring a sandwich (and you should, too).

I guess the conclusion would be, and after they kept lying about states that would go for Obama and finally broke for Hillary, Obama evidently lost the primaries and wasn-t able to become the nominee…
I love your parallel world where Hiillary is a few days away from becoming the next president!!!!
And your spying on Obama, love it too. There are a thousand things that make an election and media slant is definetly one of them, they usually indicate the winner, as they did in the primaries this year, as they did in 2000 and also in 2004…
But keep on going Don quijote, fighting against all those wind mills…while Obama smothely wins on Tuesday.

October 31, 2008 at 1:34 pm
Wonderful article thanks for the heads up, I wish everyone could read this.
I’m a liberal who supports McCain/Palin. I think many disgruntled Hillary supporters will vote McCain in protest to how Hillary was treated by Obama and his media stooges.
I would’ve been happy with either Hillary or McCain as president, but not Obama. Not only because he’s a far leftist but his radical associations are truly disturbing and should be a concern for ALL Americans, it goes beyond red vs blue politics.
Obama’s past, his lack of experience and his associations should’ve disqualified him for the run for presidency. He cannot be allowed to win-liberals and republicans should unite on this common goal, otherwise America faces becoming another Venezuela (under Chavez) or worse.
Frankly I think with the run-up in the stock market, McCain’s regaining his footing in the polls that he lost in the sell-off. I believe he will win as long as Hillbuzz rightly said, that the Eeyores aren’t spooked.

From a die-never Conservative, the PUMAs are owed more than a heapin’ helping of thanks for their relentless work and optimism on behalf of McCain and Palin. What we’re seeing here between the PUMAs, the AoS “morons” and LGF lizards is fantastic. I have come to realize that I make more common cause with the Hillary moderates than I originally thought.
Hillary was never my gal, but I have developed a strong measure of respect for her as a political animal and competitor, and I think that her supporters are showing themselves to be Americans above all. Contrast that attitude with the Cult of Obama, who generally skew to the delusional or rabidly anti-American. Thank you PUMAs, for your love of country, and your decency and honor in helping the cause.

But even if I didn’t, I just don’t understand why that would discourage me from voting for John McCain. I would be much more likely to go vote for a candidate I liked who I knew was going to lose, rather than one I thought was going to win.
If he’s going to win, he’s going to win, and he doesn’t need my vote. But if he’s going to lose, I want to be able to console myself with the knowledge over the next four long years that at least I voted against the SOB who beat him. (Doubly so if that SOB is a sleazy piece of work like Barack Obama)
I have never understood this “Vote for the winner” thinking. Are there people out there so insecure that they need to vote for a winning candidate in order to feel good about themselves? I just don’t get it…
October 31, 2008 at 2:18 pm
Anyone who supported Hillary in the primary has seen this act before, with the Obama camp and the MSM. However, I think history has shown that it all has the exact OPPOSITE effect of suppressing the vote. Beginning in New Hampshire, the more the MSM bashed Hillary and tried to say it was over and write her political obituary, the more it fired up Hillary’s base and got them out to vote. And the MSM coverage just might make that young voter think that Obama has it won already, and they will go play video games instead of standing in line to vote.

October 31, 2008 at 2:35 pm
So, will the Clinton’s finally change party this weekend and throw support behind McCain publicly?
October 31, 2008 at 2:48 pm
Yeah, the part about the MSM calling states early burns me up. I think there should be a complete moratorium on any election coverage at all until after all polling places are closed.
October 31, 2008 at 2:50 pm
Comparing New Jersey 2000 Senate race to today would indicate that McCain and Obama are historically speaking, tied.
Polls only show who is leading among those who have already decided who to vote for. Undecided voters will decide the election.

Hillbuzz:
A commenter on another blog is reporting that McCain is putting all his eggs into the advertising basket and is foregoing the ground game. Can you verify this information:
“It’s true that McCain is going to be on par with Obama in advertising in the final few days, but the problem is his ground game.
Top level republicans and people close to the campaign are admitting that the advertising is being done at the cost of GOTV effort. They’ve scaled back the ground game BIG TIME. McCain told his veteran organizers that they were on the own in the filed and had to pay their own way to get to battleground states and get hotels.
Even the RNC is admitting it has scaled back the “72 hour” campaign considerably. They are only paying for 750 people to be sent out nationwide for GOTV organizing.
McCain is hoping an air war can win it alone, without the accompanying ground forces.”
Because if this is true, we are in big trouble.

Cought this on cross-ref from from HotAir.com.
Excellent observations! I was talking with my neighbor yesterday (we live in the solid red state of Idaho). She commented on all the Obama signs and expressed displeasure about how few McCain signs she saw. Then she asked if I was able to replace the McCain signs that had been stolen out of my yard. The local RNC office had run out because so many people were having to get them two, three, and four times!
To make a long story short, there are alot more McCain supporters out there than we realize. They just aren’t as vocal about it. But they’ll show up and express their opinion when and where it counts: election day!

First of all I have to say I’m a conservative with republican tendencies who spends a lot of time swatting astroturfers on Townhall.com
I stumbled upon hillbuzz from a link on TH and have been reading voraciously here since.
I finally decided to stop lurking and encourage you in your efforts. In many ways you PUMAs are bigger cheerleaders for McCain than the republicans. That tells me that you understand the danger of letting he “One” get the big desk.
Let’s elect McCain/Palin this year, and in 4 years we can battle it out between Palin and Clinton.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend. :o)
Reagan had the Reagan Democrats, McCain has PUMAs.

Please pass his important post on to everyone in your address book. It’s vital that we not be discouraged by the media’s tricks to keep us from going to the polls.
As brett stated, the MSM will call states based on bogus exit polling. Remember 2000 when they called Florida for Gore?
It was over. Bush didn’t have a prayer without Florida. Then an hour later, they had to take it back and say FL was too close to call because by then, they actually had precincts reporting hard numbers.
Meanwhile, thousands of people in the largely conservative panhandle stayed home. The only good thing to come out of the weeks of uncertainty that followed were those “Sore Loserman” signs. We don’t want to go through that again.
Every vote, every precinct, every state is HUGE! Pass the word!

Humorous that Obots like Colin show up here to prove your points! What they don’t realize is the actual effect they are having is to get out the McCain/Palin vote. People I know, are making a desperate effort to get out every vote they can, thinking they are way behind. This will guarantee an Obama defeat!

I want you guys to know that we conservatives love you. I go to Free Republic and Lucianne and people at both places have a lot of admiration for you.
I believe we’re united by a love of the USA. At this point I’d give anything if it were Hillary v McCain because I’d know that either way the USA would be ok. I hate what BO has done to Hillary and I figure it’s a harbinger of how he will conduct himself as – well I can’t even say the word – what a horrible though – as POTUS. Hopefully we will avoid this sure disaster.

When this Okie lived in BC I was an active New Democrat (socialist)– until they took power in Victoria. Their unbelievable dishonesty, incompetence and corruption turned me into a mildly conservative independent. This time I started out hoping Obama was as self advertised. I have two black stepchildren (grown) and I know a lot of black kids would be inspired by a black prez. Then when I realized he was a con artist with an extremely sleazy past, I thought, well at least he would take down the ogre named Hillary. Funny thing happened, me and my rabid Clinton hating brother gained an incredible amount of respect for the Hill by the end of the primaries and began rootin for her to fight it out in Denver. I’m not so sure about the hangover theory. Youth is pretty reslilient. I used to do 24 hours on that rare purple Owsley and be ready for class the next day. Brownshirts, yeah, I smell that stench too, but “progressive” like Chavista Red Caps or Fidelista neighborhood snitches. Montana a toss-up? (Also saw that on CNN where they still mention that Joe has no plumber’s licence.) Maybe a few confused professors in Missoula. I’d bet money that Piper’s Mom is the overwhelming favorite in Big Sky Country. I’ve got my fingers crossed that this time the Obama psyops effort will backfire and take away the urgency to vote for many of his fans. Hubris, meet Nemisis. And thanks for your efforts and for such an intelligent and humourous blog. (I can still spell Canadian, eh.)
October 31, 2008 at 5:15 pm
I noticed another tactic today. some new biased poll shows McCain’s lead slipping in AZ. So MSN and the others are hyping it. We know it is ridiculous but it adds to the impression they are still trying to create of an Obama landslide
October 31, 2008 at 5:19 pm
#2 Mary Beth:
That truly is scary, and yes, reminiscent of brownshirts. Between that, his campaign funding fraud, voter intimidation tactics, his Missouri Truth Squad, use of the Justice System against his opponents, and efforts to commit voter registration and voter fraud, Obama isn’t just about Western European-style socialism. He’s starting to smell like a fascist.
October 31, 2008 at 5:41 pm
Thank you sober Hillary supporters for calming my nerves a bit about this election! I am a right-leaning libertarian and McCain certainly wasn’t my first choice either, but when I look at the insane choice the DMC made and see the evidence of all the dirty campaigning (from the unsavory methods of manipulating poling data and the mood of Internet discussion sites to the downright illegal methods of breaking voter registration, campaign finance laws) it was really easy to get behind Senator McCain.
Obama has finally been truthfully pegged as a radical socialist, anti-capitalism, anti-achievement, anti-American, anti-Constitution would-be totalitarian by the few members of the mainstream media who are not practically working for his campaign. If elected, free press will be one of his first targets. We’ve seen what his machine does to private citizens who speak out against his “change”. We’ve seen his campaign cut off and punish anyone in the media who’s asked tough questions or dared not to endorse him. Imagine what he’d do with the power of the executive branch!
I could not believe that the majority of the American people could support Obama, even with the media running cover for him and spinning every gaffe and deceiving us about his likely policies and their results. Especially when the Republicans nominated one of the most moderate men in the Senate. A well-known and respected leader and a war hero at that. With McCain’s non-partisan history and considering the Democrats will have strong majorities in the Senate and the House with which to hold more conservative Republicans in check, it’s crazy to think that as many independents and Democrats would support Obama as these bogus polls indicate.
I live in Oregon, which usually gives its electoral votes to the Democrat. I believe that Hillary Clinton (who, by the way, got the most votes in the Democrat primary!) got shafted. I wouldn’t vote for her, but if this race were between McCain and Clinton, I would probably go with a third party candidate and focus on the tight Senate race we’ve got going on. But because I am so opposed to Obama and everything he stands for and would do to this nation and thus this world, I’ve already voted for John McCain.
October 31, 2008 at 6:11 pm
Has anyone sent this on to McCain/Palin’s site!?!!! I couldn’t agree with your comments more … I do think that Hillary should have won the primaries. And it would have made it extremely difficult for me to choose between her and McCain. But thanks for being on “our” side this time around.

One thing puzzles me about this supposed PUMA movement. The biggest gripe on this board is the polling is wrong and the media is overplaying it as an attempt to disillusion and stifle McCain voters. It is true that if people feel they cannot win a small percentage of would be voters might decide it is not worth standing in line for 5 hours or they might decide to vote for Barr to send a message.
However these supposed PUMAs say they give false information to the pollsters and say they will vote Obama but will actually vote McCain. It seems to me the vote stifling strategy could have been avoided if PUMAs reported the truth. But of course PUMAs would have to be real for that to work.

Thanks for this site!! I found out about you through Rush. I think the country – or at least many women are finally figuring out the sexism that is going on with Hillary and Palin and they are sick of it. I am one of the people saying all along that McCain will pull this off. My 85 year old grandmother is voting Republican for the first time in her life – she says “Obama has made so many ridiculous promises that I know he can’t keep. I can’t see how people can be so stupid to believe it”. Now that’s wisdom from an 85 year old. I know at least 5 other Democrats that are voting Republican this year. I have never seen this phenomenon before. That is why I have had hope all along that McCain can pull this thing off. I have heard similar stories from lots of people. Keep the faith – McCain/Palin can do this!!

This whole ’story’ sounds odd to me. Do people really let the TV tell them what to do or not do on election day? Not if they really care about democracy they don’t.
When the ‘media’ called for Hillary to drop out early, she didn’t. When Palin was introduced as McCain’s VP, the media began a love affair (albeit a short-lived one) with her, not Joe Biden. Yes, the media may appear to be biased occasionally, but every single one of these four people (McCain, Palin, Obama and Biden) have the resources and ample opportunities to contact the media and issue whatever kind of statements they want to. The media may be an imperfect messenger, but they shouldn’t be shot. Just go and vote. It’s that simple, and that profound. Whatever happens Nov. 4th, let’s all pledge to come together and work as Americans to rebuild our great country.
November 1, 2008 at 3:07 am
This is seriously funny my friends. I don’t know how so many people can listen to rhetoric that amounts to pure lies such as war on terror, winning the war, the surge, we need to drill for more oil, weapons of mass destruction, etc. You get the proof you’ve been duped and never question anything. I was just listening to McCain speak a rousing “I will fight for change from the first day in office to my last” Hurrah, but what is it he will do? You Bushies are toast and may lose the house and senate as well. YEAH!
November 1, 2008 at 3:35 am
Great article! I will say, though, that if it was really intended for Republicans you may want to omit the reminder of Jessie Jackson’s lame attempt to steal the 2000 election for Gore by claiming the black community was being disenfranchised (supposedly less capable of comprehending their ballots than whites). Some of us Florida Republicans still haven’t gotten over that attempt to violate our state to squeeze out a few more Gore votes. Especially people like me who almost had their properly completed absentee ballots thrown out by one of those Dem lawsuits.
It’s funny that while the PUMA’s have had their eyes opened to the media propaganda in this election cycle, they haven’t yet realized that it has been going on for decades, including during the 2000 election.

Ya know Edward, the opportunity to be in that 1% is part of the American Dream. Knowing that with hard work and tenacity everyone has the opportunity to be Andrew Carnegie, Henry Ford or Bill Gates. All started with nothing and ended up on top of the world and in that 1%.
You are very silly to deny yourself that same opportunity.

Bless you! This is all a psychops campaign.
What was done to Hillary in the primary was horrifying, and I am a Republican! Hillary did an excellent job positioning herself as someone who could be president of the whole country since she has been in the Senate. McCain is an across the aisle reacher, to the point where people in his own party get very irritated. Every year we claim we want these things in a candidate, and then on the Democrat side we get this race baiting, spread the wealth, its not ‘fair’, psychops jerk.
Well, McCain is getting my vote on election day, absolutely. What the media doesn’t realize (or admit) is that voting is a habit. Some people can learn new habits, sure, but it’s not going to be every 20something in the country. So, I’m keeping the faith and appreciate what you are doing.
November 1, 2008 at 9:45 am
If Senator Obama wins this election, the following is what it has taken to get a very questionable, extremely inexperienced, very junior first time Senator past the mark:
1. Senator Obama’s campaign is outspending Senator McCain’s campaign 4 to 1 or more in some locations. This is due to Senator Obama backing out of an agreement he made with Senator McCain.
2. Senator Obama’s campaign has opened up about 700 offices nation-wide versus less than 100 than Senator McCain’s campaign has opened up.
3. The mainstream media has been completely biased against Senator McCain.
4. Biased organizations, such as ACORN, have received contributions from Senator Obama, have been openly supporting Senator Obama, and are under investigation for committing voter registration fraud in multiple states favoring Senator Obama.
5 An enormous number of biased celebrities have been supporting Senator Obama and speaking out against Senator McCain.
6. Even though Congress is very unpopular, both sides are controlled by the democrats and have been making biased statements against Senator McCain.
7. Senator McCain is disadvantaged because of the unpopularity of the incumbent President.
8. All four of the debate moderators lean to the left and were not 100% fair.
Even with all of the biased and unfair things mentioned above that are running against Senator McCain, Senator Obama only has a narrow lead. Should he not be way out in front? I have heard people state that on the news from both campaigns. That should tell you something. Also, Senator Obama pulled a cheap shot on Senator McCain and the American public in regards to campaign financing. Both campaigns agreed to use public financing during the presidential campaign. At the last moment, Senator Obama backed out of his agreement and took private financing, giving Senator Obama a significant advantage over Senator McCain in financing his campaign. In addition, Senator Obama is not being totally open as to where all his contributions are coming from. But even though Senator Obama took a sucker punch and tricked Senator McCain and all Americans by backing out of his agreement, Senator McCain is keeping with his word and using public financing. This is severely disadvantaging Senator McCain’s campaign financing by putting much lower caps on the amount of money he will have available. This is the reason Senator Obama can outspend Senator McCain 4 to 1. This also shows that Senator Obama does not keep his campaign promises, just like his past campaign promises.
Just imagine what it will be like when you have both the House of Representatives and the Senate controlled by the democrats, and Senator Obama in the Whitehouse signing everything that comes across his desk from them. In other words, the person writing the check will also be the one cashing it. There will be no “checks and balances”, especially if the democrats pick up a few more seats in the Senate and it becomes filibuster-proof, which means they will have a monopoly. Again, there will be no checks and balances. We will have higher taxes, more government, and fewer rights. They have already promised all of those things. You will have a government that will tax the people that are creating the jobs so they can “spread the wealth around”. Who do you think creates the jobs in this country? Have you ever seen a business owned by a poor person? Are they the ones starting small businesses and creating jobs? Obviously not! So we have established the fact that the people that own the small businesses and create the jobs are NOT the poor. So lets talk about what is going to happen when they start taxing the people that do own the small businesses that create the jobs.
So what do you think will happen when they start taxing the small business owners? First, jobs will be lost. They will not be able to afford to keep the same amount of people they have now – they will have to let people go. In addition, they will not be able to expand their businesses and hire more people. The second thing that will happen is that prices will go up. Do you think businesses will not raise the cost of their products and services to offset the extra taxes they have to pay? This should be obvious. The prices will go up on everything and will affect everybody – to include the middle class and the poor. When you go to the grocery store, the food prices will be higher. When you go buy a car, the prices will be higher. When you go to the department store the prices are going to be higher. Put yourself in the shoes of a business owner; if your expenses go up, would you not raise the price of your products to pay for them? Of course you would! And taxes are an expense.
Now lets talk about presidential qualifications. When a federal employee or a member of the military has a need to have access to classified materials, they would need to get a security clearance. A security clearance attempts to certify that an individual is of high moral character and does not pose a security risk. If a federal employee or a member of the military admits to using a dangerous drug, such as cocaine, they will not be eligible for a security clearance. In addition, an admitted cocaine user would not be able to get in the military and if he or she is a federal employee, he or she would be moved to a position of lesser responsibility and not have access to classified materials. Senator Obama has admitted to using cocaine in his book that he wrote. As a candidate for president, should he not be held up to the same standards of a federal employee or a member of our military? As President, he is going to be exposed to an enormous amount of classified materials, have his finger on the nuke button, and be the commander in chief of the strongest military in the world. Would you not want someone in that position that can qualify for a security clearance?
Another point I would like to make is in regards to Senator Obama’s experience, which is a drop in the bucket compared to Senator McCain’s. With the world and the economy in such a delicate position, I cannot imagine why anyone would not want the most experienced person in the Whitehouse. Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, and even Senator Obama’s running mate, Senator Joe Biden, have made statements to the fact that Senator Obama is not experienced enough to be President and that the presidency is not the type of job for on-the-job training. They also said that Senator McCain brings a lifetime of experience to the table. Senator Obama’s running mate, Senator Biden, even said he would even be honored to run “with” his friend John McCain. These individuals are now claiming that they said that during the primaries when they were running against Senator Obama. Does that mean they were lying then, or now? Senator Obama claimed that he had more diverse foreign policy experience because he lived overseas as a kid. Living overseas does not give you foreign policy experience, unless you are an Ambassador, which he was not. If it did, then Senator John McCain would again best Senator Obama’s record since he has lived overseas being a member of the military.
What issue or issues are you going to base your voting decision on? Will it be the economy? National defense? Education? There are so many out there. Because of the current economic situation, a large number of you are going to base your decision on who is best for the economy. I would hope that I have answered this question for you earlier on in this article. Such as pointing out which candidate has promised to raise taxes and spend more reducing jobs and raising the cost to live. But just in case I have not, I have a couple additional items for you to think about. If you look at all of the campaign promises on Senator Obama’s web site, you will see hundreds of them. How is he going to pay for them? I think I answered that already. But, if you add of the costs of all of them, mathematically it is going to cost us a lot more than he will be able to raise in taxes. So many of these are going to be just like so many of his previous campaign promises – they won’t get done. Maybe the economy is not the best issue to use in making a decision for president. What about national defense? In my opinion, if you don’t have a secure nation, the rest of the issues are moot. With Russia and China outspending us two fold to build up their military; with Iran and North Korea toying around with nukes and making threats; with Russia making friends and conducting military exercises not too far from our back door in Venezuela; with Russia helping Iran build nuclear processing material plants; and with the terrorist threat growing in Pakistan (a nuclear country), Afghanistan, Africa, and several other countries throughout the world, I want the most experienced and tested person in that office. Not some junior Senator that has absolutely no experience in national security. The economy is important, but national defense is a must. Remember, if our country is not secure, then the economy means nothing, our freedom is in jeopardy, and our lives as we know them today could easily be drastically changed in a moments notice. Just ask the citizens of the country of Georgia. One last point: Have you see who is openly supporting Senator Obama in the news? Iran and the terrorist groups Hamas and Hezbollah have made public statements that they would prefer Sen. Obama to win. Go figure.
So after reading this, where do you stand? The differences in these two candidates are very apparent. On one hand, you have an individual with many years of applicable “real world” experience, has been a public servant and leader for about 50 years, has a proven record to reduce taxes and government spending, and is dedicated to growing the US economy and jobs. On the other hand, you have an individual with very little experience, questionable associations, has a proven record to increase taxes, government spending, and earmarks, and has promised to increase taxes and government spending. As I said at the beginning of this article, I cannot imagine why anyone in their right mind, after doing a real comparison of the two candidates, would vote for Senator Obama. I admit, he presents himself well and has a good appearance, as long as he has a teleprompter to read from. So the bottom line is what do you want in the next president, appearance or substance?

Thank God, I finally found a site I can believe in. I have been continually researching and printing everything I can on Obama and his “connections”. If in the off chance he should win, this info is sure to disappear. I truly believe life as we know it will never be the same.
While McCain was not my first choice, he is our only choice; if you still want to have a choice in four years.
I read every comment left on this site this morning. Unfortunately a lot of the people that need to be reading this site won’t go in search of it on their own. PLEASE FORWARD IT TO EVERYONE IN YOU ADDRESS BOOK AND ENCOURAGE THEM TO SEND, ETC, ETC. This could have a huge effect in the next three days.
The ones that will be jumping off ledges will be the ones that so foolishly voted early; can’t get that vote back.
The comments reported lead me to believe there are still a lot of intelligent independently thinking people out there, yeah! Don’t rely on the misleading media. If you do your homework the only choice is to VOTE and to VOTE the “McPalin” ticket.
A huge “THANK YOU” to Hillbuzz

For those of you Clinton supporters who are going to or thinking of writing Hillary’s name in on the ballot, I understand.
Obama should have put his poor winner behavior aside and selected her as VP which would have united the Democrats.
The fact that he is in such a close race with a Republican after 4 years of George Bush speaks volumes as to the amount of concern voters have about his ability to rule this nation.
Obama should have paid off her campaign debt and cleared Bill Clinton’s name & legacy as a racist that Barack Obama’s campaign and supporters levied against Bill. But Obama didn’t and selected Joe Biden instead.
But I urge you not to vote for Hillary. Please vote for McCain. In four years Hillary will be able to run again for president.
So Clintons supporters – vote McCain in 2008, and then Hillary in 2012. Its the moral thing to do.

I’m an Eeyore who is probably speaking for a lot of my species. I think the fix is already in and we will all be choking on the irony of not only the first Affirmative Action President, but an illegal alien (hell, yeah, he was born in Kenya!) taking another job from a more qualified American.
But, guess what, Obamalama Ding Dongs? I voted for McCain-Palin, anyway! And I urge a lot of my species to do so as well! Why? Because if you don’t, with all the Mickey Mouses and Donald Ducks and convicted felons and other illegal aliens flooding the ballot boxes, it will look like a freakin’ mandate for Marxist change.
Also you do not want a Marxist … er, Democrat super majority in Congress. Vote a straight Republican ticket. Get Pelosi, Reed, Jerk Kerry, and Jerk Murtha, Bonny Fwank, and the rest of those clowns up for reelection out of office. It is imperative that you do so. Right now, too much is being thrown at the Presidential slot. Everything but the kitchen sink.
That way, your vote will only allow BO to squeak into office with the narrowest margin possible, probably decided by the Electoral College and all of it questionable with ACORN’s antics and he will be checked at every turn by a hostile, suspicious Congress that will make Bush’s tenure in Office since the Democrats retook the Congress look like the longest honeymoon in political history.
GRIDLOCK is this country’s only hope for salvation!

Well, now, isn’t this a fair and balanced web site. NOT! I am white, 72, and I voted for Obama. I have followed these candidates closely. Back in 2000 I would have voted for McCain and wish the Rove machine had not railroaded him out of the process. We could have been much better off now, with a better chance of winning with a Republican again. However, too little too late and Palin clinched it for me. She is a cartoon,
Obama has the background, temperament, character, education, all that is required for the office. I would prefer a brilliant mind to the touted experience. He has the mind to learn quickly and, sadly, he will learn all too soon, if he doesn’t already know, how convoluted DC is. Then again, he may not live long enough, win or not win, thanks to the hatred and incitement to hatred and the satanic lies spread about him! Go on, hate mongers! Have your day. You are no closer to God than I am despite what you think. I repudiate you.

A republican here. I thought all this Hillary -> McCain stuff was an urban legend. Maybe it’s true after all. All I have to say is I’m not going to tell you all how to vote. I would resent it if you told me. But this statement is true. I wouldn’t have voted for Hillary but if she had gotten the nomination and won I wouldn’t have the urge to throw myself off a building. I think she has enough of an ego to want to better the country. And do better than Bill. Which I could live with. Obama is going to be a disaster of biblical proportions. He has an agenda to radically change this society. Obama has done something I never thought possible. I have re-thought the Clintons and they are looking a whole lot better. Just pray.

Thanks to Hillbuzz and P.U.M.A., I feel John McCain and Sarah Pslin have a chance. I was for Hillary in the primary because even though I am a consevative, I wanted the presidential election to be between two qualified people that I knew would keep our country safe. I felt McCain would be our canidate but I also really wanted Hillary too. I have never seen a media so one sided and rooting so hard for one canidate. I felt that way when Hillary was running aainst Obama. If it had been Hillary and McCain it would have been a race that whoever won I could live with it. Thanks again for all ya’ll have done!

This should be sent to everyone!!!!;
‘Twas the night before elections And all through the town,
Tempers were flaring , Emotions all up and down!
I, in my bathrobe , With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV, Tired of political crap.
When all of a sudden , There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window , Saw Obama and his boys
They had come for my wallet , They wanted my pay
To give to the others , Who had not worked a day!
He snatched up my money , And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon , As I gagged from the stink
He then rallied his henchmen , Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out , To tear my country apart!
‘On Fannie , on Freddie , On Biden and Ayers! On Acorn , On Pelosi’, He screamed at the pairs!
They took off for his cause , And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation , Who wouldn’t stand up and fight!
So I leave you to think , On this one final note , -IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE

My 19-year-old daughter will definitely be going to the polls on Tuesday – to vote for McCain.
Unfortunately, even though Idaho is not even being bandied about as a “battleground” due to its so-very-redness, it doesn’t have enough electoral votes to make much of a difference.
My Obama-crazy boss (I have such a hard time understanding how a very intelligent attorney can fall for the Obama line) has been involved in his campaign from the beginning, attended the Idaho Democratic caucus, and attended the convention in Denver. I’m hoping he’s terribly hungover on Wednesday!

Love your website — hilarious and insightful. My husband and I already voted for McCain/Palin in early voting in FL. You are so right — the liberal media wants everyone to think this whole election is over — Obama will win. Nonsense! Kerry was leading by 5 points I believe and he lost. EVERY VOTE COUNTS!!! Any Obama supporters should google this article: Obama’s Kenyan Ghosts Washington Times — if you still want to vote for him after reading this article, there is no hope for you. MCCAIN/PALIN!!!
November 1, 2008 at 4:15 pm
Rush mentioned Hillbuzz the other day and I was curious. Now I keep coming back! It’s the only place I can get reinspired. The MSM really has me down and scared. But after reading your insight from the Dem primary (which I admit I stopped following in January) I have a little bit of hope but am still nervous; because Obama did in fact win in the end…even though he cheated, he did win. so I hope he doesn’t win this time!
Then let’s have an honest Clinton-Palin Presidential Race in 2012!!! Are there really as many of you guys out there as it seems? I confess I never thought you guys would go against your party. But after watching how they all treated Palin and imagining how they must have treated Clinton (I didn’t notice because I didn’t pay attention to that race) I can see how you must be just as determined as I am to vote McCain-Palin and show them all!
Please ramp up your efforts. I feel like you guys have the most credibility and should truly get your “story” out there.

The mind games with the polls are in full swing right now. Do not believe them.
These are not vote counts. They are only exit polls!
Remember when the Obamedia called a landslide for Kerry in 2004 in the middle of the afternoon, Eastern Standard Time? Remember that? They chose an inaccurate sampling of polling places, and chose a time of day that tilted heavily Democrat. Kerry was supposedly leading in Florida by over 10 points, and rolling through other states with similar huge leads.
I live in a blue blue state, and have not seen the enthusiasm for Obama that I saw for Kerry. Nowhere near the number of bumper stickers and yard signs. I don’t care that Obama’s charging for yard signs. There’s not as many as there should be. I don’t know if he’s charging for the bumper stickers, but they can’t be so expensive that the Obama supporters wouldn’t buy them. (And in fact, that 0 is charging for all these things, and backstage passes, and charging them here, and charging them there, while he’s raised oceans of money already should tell these people what would come their way with taxes under Obama.)
Remember when the media called Florida for Gore in 2000, when the western part of Florida, the part in the later time zone, was still voting?
The polls are wrong. The Obama-media is lying again. They are getting themselves excited over the exit polls just like they did in 2000 and 2004. No actual votes have been counted, nor have all people who voted been polled. Don’t be discouraged; your discouragement is what the media want. They want you not to vote. Get out and vote!
PA, Ohio, VA – don’t let us down. Crawl over the broken glass. Just vote.
November 1, 2008 at 8:37 pm
This is an excellent post and a must read for all Republicans! I have been on the Team Sarah blog chat room lately trying to educate the Republicans on the Obama tactics before it’s too late. This post has it all detailed perfectly. You should have this cross posted on Republican sites.

Just heard the Obama camp say that 97% of Hillary supporters are supporting Obama. They find it hard to believe that there are up to 9% undecided voters. They feel they have already won the election. Are there really only 3% Hillary supporters that have not fallen for the empty suit? What say you?
November 1, 2008 at 10:08 pm
Who knew I’d find common cause with Hillary supporters? Is this a sign of the Apocalypse? Whatever it is, I’m glad to see some sensible Democrats who see Obama for what he is.

Hey all!
Want an excellent insight into the psychological workings of the Left and how they may have blundered? Check http://www.zombietime.com/lefts-big-blunder.
As someone trained in Psychology, when viewing this election I was continuously amazed by the use of Asch Conformity techniques. The above article does an amazing job of explaining how it works, and why the Obama folks may have over played their hand.
On Tuesday the bluffing will be over and we will find out who has the winning hand.
All I know is I see a whole lot of defiant McCain/Palin supporters out in PA!!!
November 1, 2008 at 10:42 pm
(sorry if this shows up twice)
The poll numbers tonight are just part of the media mind game. They are just polls. No actual votes have been counted.
The media did this in 2004 when they called a Kerry landslide early in the afternoon based only on exit polls. They got themselves all excited and tingles ran up their legs, but it turned out to be bad data. For one, they exit-polled at precincts that skewed Democract. They also released poll data too early in the day, which skewed it even more to the Democrats. It also depends on who they ask at the exit polls, refusal rates, truthfulness, etc., the same things that come up with the phone polls. They aren’t counting actual ballots; they’re only talking to preselected fractions of people at polling sites.
In 2000, the media called Florida for Gore too early, also, before the polls had even closed in the western part of the state, which is in a different time zone.
The Obamedia wants McCain voters to be discouraged and not vote. They are getting themselves all excited again.
PA, Ohio, VA – please, please vote. Crawl over the broken glass, but everyone needs to just vote.
November 2, 2008 at 1:25 am
PLEASE remember – all of you that live in the Western states: The media will declare Florida and Ohio and other important states in the East as blue states before all votes are counted so that it will discourage the citizens of the Western states to cast their votes for McCain by making them feel that their vote won’t count anyway, so why bother? PLEASE don’t fall for this!!!! Vote, Vote, Vote no matter what the media reports. It is NOT over until ALL votes are in – the media is in the tank for Obama and so are most of the exit pollsters. This has happened in previous elections and is sure to happen Tuesday. PLEASE, PLEASE stay in line in the rain, sleet or snow and VOTE no matter if the election is declared over and a landslide win for Obama. IT IS NOT OVER UNTIL THE LAST BOOTH CLOSES AND THE LAST VOTE IS COUNTED!!!!!

Obama has shown his only true intention is to be elected. It does not matter to him what he has to say or do to win an election (remember the California comment about PA). His ambition caused him to be in a hate preaching church for 20 years – but insists it had no effect on him ???
He turned down an opportunity to be a lawyer in NY for a $12 K community organizer post in Chicago while having no apparent means of paying off his educational debt.
He actively worked with an anarchist who wishes he had done more to oppose the Viet War, yet insists that they did not share a common view on political issues.
The more he speaks, the more we learn that he will craft his answers to hid his true intentions.
I can only hope enough people will look not at an isolated event, but the whole conglomerate of events in his life and realize this is not a man who can be trusted with the highest post in our nation.
