Debbie Schussel is the one who first reported on all of this to begin with — and was reportedly ripped off by the LA Times. Read her account on all of this here via her site.
In short, Schussel wrote a story on Obama’s negative stance toward Israel, which led the Times to look into the dinner Michelle and Obama attended with Said and his wife (where the prettiest picture of Michelle EVER was taken), which led them to Ali Abunimah, which Schussel believes is where the LA Times got the Obama-Khalidi tape.
That sounds about right to us — and is how something like that would have come into the hands of the LA Times.
That means Ali Abunimah most likely has other copies of that tape — and journalists, if any are still left, should pursue this.

Letter to PUMAs posted here: http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/politics/national/stories/DN-puma_28pol.ART.State.Edition1.4a7a16a.html?ocp=2#slcgm_comments_anchor
“Poopau,
I feel sorry for you. I really do. You are so insignificant, but I can feel from your post you so wish to be a part of something greater than yourself. What a sad, sad person you are. Your little group of PUMAs is not a threat, never was, never will be. Your numbers are so small and organization so pitiful, you couldn’t organize a piss-up in a brewery. Face it, you are only a bunch of racists and fear mongers that cling to an old senile man and his ditz of a running mate.
The Democratic Party could not be more united, more organized and more ready to lead and win than it is today. We are going to WIN! This is history unfolding right before your very eyes. We Hillary supporters look to her for guidance and want her policies put forth. This election for me has made me more involved, more aware and to the point I have become an activist for many charitable organizations.
To you and Texas Hill regarding stats. I can name tons and know of hundreds that visit many of the PUMA sites daily. We sit back and read and have a good laugh at how mental, insane and out of touch you people really are. All 5 of you. Other days we report you to hate watch sites. Yes, it’s true. We do have a watchdog group that keeps track of your hate and racism and reports it hate watch. Oh, I wonder if those two skinheads that were recently arrested were part of your hate family. I won’t get into details here. And yes you are mainly middle aged women. I’ve read your posts. Most are over 50 even. I thought it was cute how Jamie got so excited over SMILIES on PUMA PAC. Who knew something as an emoticon would excite that old cat lady. Another thing, don’t equate your 5 PUMA march in Denver with RiseHillaryRise’s 18 Million Voices March that brought out hundreds. Her organization and members want NOTHING to do with the likes of you and your hate smear old cats ready to be euthanized on November 4th.
Face it. McCain made a grave error in selecting Sarah Palin. She destroyed his chances and is now only thinking of herself. Do I feel sorry for McCain? I do. He believed in Karl Rove’s PUMA creation. It was all smoke in mirrors. They thought Palin would bring in Hillary voters, instead it made us work twice as hard against him and brought all the true blue working class Democrats home to Obama. He is polling more Democrats than Kerry.
There is no PUMA. It was a Rove and Rush tactic gone horribly wrong. RAAAAAR.”

Anyone have the scoop on this man – what his background is, where he lives or works and why he would have taped the event?
October 29, 2008 at 6:13 pm
This picture is so distrubing on so many levels! Wonder what they were hearing?
It’s uncomfortable just looking at it…
bad vibes, for sure.
McCain/Palin
Keep on keepin’ on Pumas – Godspeed!

Jen: It is you who live in Wonderland.
You, who have been dupped to believe that Barack Obama gives a rat’s you know what about Hillary Clinton or anyone else.
PUMAS are real and they are many and you, you pifitul, poros brained sheep, will understand that very soon. In the meantime,
I am no Republican. Karl Rove is a jerk…but then jerks do not live in one place, as your letter so very well indicates.

Obama Speechwriter Defects to McCain; Somehow I Don’t Think She’ll Become the Toast of the Liberal Media
—Ace
Not important, you see. Only Chris Buckley and Kathleen “Who?” Parker get the superstar treatment.
This is what the Democratic Party has been for me; it’s family. Now, it doesn’t even feel like a distant cousin.
…
The final straw came the other week when Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher (a.k.a Joe the Plumber) asked a question about higher taxes for small businesses. Instead of celebrating his aspirations, they were mocked. He wasn’t “a real plumber,” and “They’re fighting for Joe the Hedge-Fund manager,” and the patronizing, “I’ve got nothing but love for Joe the Plumber.”
Having worked in politics, I know that absolutely none of this is on the level. This back and forth is posturing, a charade, and a political game. These lines are what I refer to as “hooker lines”—a sure thing to get applause and the press to scribble as if they’re reporting meaningful news.
…
The party I believed in wouldn’t look down on working people under any circumstance. And Joe the Plumber is right. This is the absolutely worst time to raise taxes on anyone: the rich, the middle class, the poor, small businesses and corporations.
Our economy is in the tank for many complicated reasons, especially because people don’t have enough money. So let them keep it. Let businesses keep it so they can create jobs and stay here and weather this storm. And yet, the Democratic ideology remains the same. Our approach to problems—big government solutions paid for by taxing the rich and big and smaller companies—is just as tired and out of date as trickle down economics. How about a novel approach that simply finds a sane way to stop the bleeding?
That’s not exactly the philosophy of a Democrat. Not only has this party belittled working people in this campaign from Joe the Plumber to the bitter comments, it has also been part of tearing down two female candidates. At first, certain Democrats and the press called Senator Clinton “dishonest.” They went after her cleavage. They said her experience as First Lady consisted of having tea parties. There was no outrage over “Bros before Hoes” or “Iron My Shirt.” Did Senator Clinton make mistakes? Of course. She’s human.
But here we are about a week out and it’s déjà vu all over again. Really, front-page news is how the Republican National Committee paid for Governor Sarah Palin’s wardrobe? Where’s the op-ed about how Obama tucks in his shirt when he plays basketball or how Senator Biden buttons the top button on his golf shirt?

I really think it was Ali Abunimah who gave the tape to the LA Times as well. I figured it out earlier today and typed it out, as I figured it out, on the puma pac blog. I’ve been following this guy for many months.
Now that I am seeing someone else calling him out, I just feel that it MUST be him.

Khalidi…Wright…..Pfleger….Ayers….Odinga..
…Dorhne…Are we seeing a pattern here? Extreme Socialists & Marxists? We could have had Hillary!!! Second choice now is McCain. He has my vote!!

If you will note this sentence at the end of the Dallas News article:
At the end of the day, Hillary supporters are going to have more than eight chances in 10 of being Obama supporters,” said Richard Johnston, professor of political science and director of the National Annenberg Election Study at the University of Pennsylvania.
Annenberg,again.
This is pure spin, folks.

Hey Jen
You made a silly mistake coming here spweing your act
I work for The Obama campaign and can’t wait for this week to be over.
I was doing it for a job. I was not a fan of any candidate but over time grew to love HRC.
The internal campaign idea is to twist, distort, humiliate and finally dispirit you.
We pay people and organize people to go to all the online sites and “play the part of a Clinton or McCain supporter who just switched our support for Obama”
We do this to stifle your motivation and to destroy your confidence.
We did this the whole primary and it worked.
Sprinkle in mass vote confusion and it becomes bewildering. Most people lose patience and just give up on their support of a candidate and decide to just block out tv, news, websites, etc.
This surprisingly has had a huge suppressing movement and voter turnout issues.
Next, we infiltrate all the blogs and all the YouTube videos and overwhelm the voting, the comments, etc. All to continue this appearance of overwhelming world support.
People makes posts to the effect that the world has “gone mad”
That’s the intention. To make you feel stressed and crazy and feel like the world is ending.
We have also had quite a hand in skewing many many polls, some we couldn’t control as much as we would have liked. But many we have spoiled over. Just enough to make real clear politics look scary to a McCain supporter. Its worked, although the goal was to appear 13-15 points ahead.
see, the results have been working. People tend to support a winner, go with the flow, become “sheeple”
The polls are roughly 3-5 points in favor of Barack. That’s due to our inflation of the polls and pulling in the sheeple.
Our donors, are the same people who finance the MSM. Their interests are tied, Barack then tends to come across as Teflon. Nothing sticks. And trust, there were meetings with Fox news. The goal was to blunt them as much as possible. Watch Bill Oreilly he has become much more diplomatic and “fair and balanced” and soft. It’s because he wants to retain the #1 spot on cable news and to do that he has to have access to the Obama campaign and we worked hard at stringing him a long and keeping him soft for an interview swap. It worked and now he is anticipating more access. So he is playing it still soft.
This is why nothing sticks. So we have to up the anti more and more each day…
The operation is massive, the goal is to paint a picture that is that of a winner, regardless of the results.
There is no true inauguration draft or true grant park construction going on. There will be a party, but we are boasting beyond the truth to make it seem like the election is wrapped up.
Our goal is to continue to make you lose your moral. We worked hard at persuasion and paying off and timing and playing the right political numbers to get key republican endorsements to make it seem even more like it was over and the world was coming to an end for you all.
There is a huge staff of people working around the clock, watching every site, blogs, etc. We flood these sites. We have had a goal to overwhelm. The worse the information the better
The truth is here. I could go on and on, but you get the picture.
I am saying this because I know HRC was better for the country, and now I realize this. I was too late by the time I connected to her. To me Barack was just a cool young dude that seemed like a star. I didn’t know him or his policies, but now I understand more than I care to and I realize his interests are more for him, and the DNC and all working like puppets with Dean. I always thought a president wanted the better good for the country. The end result I see is everyone dependent on the government, this means more and more people voting for the DNC. This means the future is forever altered. I don’t see this as America, so I am now supporting John McCain.
Sarah Palin is a huge threat, and our campaign has feared her like you can’t imagine. If it seems unfair how she has been treated, well it’s because she has had a team working round the clock to make her look like a fool.
this is a big conspiracy and I am so shocked that it’s not realized.
We released a little blurb the other day that the Obama campaign was already working on reelection and now putting our efforts towards 2012. This was to make it seem like it was above us to continue caring about 2008. Trust me, it’s a lie. David is very smart, but it’s a sticky ugly not very truthful kind of intelligence.
Its not over yet, but I think the machine is working. And it’s a hill to climb.
I will be quitting my post on Nov 5th and my vote will be for John McCain. Fortunately, my position has been a marketing position and I don’t feel I had any part of anything I would feel guilty for. But I look forward to getting out of this as the negativity and environment upsets me.
I wish you all well, and good luck.
Sarah
PS my name is not really Sarah. but I am a female and I understand your plight.
October 29, 2008 at 7:36 pm
Jen you are a zombie.Your letter is filled with barely containable contempt for those who don’t wish to bow to your precious leader and tow the party line. You are the one who has come here to spew hate and even make threats like your little euthenasia comment. That’s probably what dear leader would do to older folks if they got too expensive for his health care catstrophy/oh ’scuse me I meant “plan”.Right??
Its obvious from your letter you have no respect for your elders and none for women either. If you truly are a female you remind me of an abused spouse who refuses to leave the battering spouse. You believe that its for your own good and if you just stay a little longer everything will be alright. It won’t.The democrat party has been fully taken over by vile hatemongers, and they will use these tactics against anyone regardless of party, who stands in their way.
The PUMAS have decided that they would take a different road. They are freethinkers and will not be spoonfed what they should believe. And you… you are seething that they managed to buck the system that you could not or would not.How dare these people leave when you don’t have the guts to do it too.
Here a question for you,if PUMAS are nonexistant,if they are so small in number, then why are you here? Why waste your time on an enemy if you already know that they don’t exist? You post this ridiculous article but we all know that the media is in pure spin mode for Odummer. Why would anyone here believe this horse manure?
OH and one more thing McCain didn’t select Palin for you ,he selected Palin to bring his conservative base home to him and it worked. HA!
October 29, 2008 at 9:54 pm
Hey guys — I DIDN’T WRITE THE LETTER.
I wanted you to know what the idiots are saying about you so you could respond.
I’m glad to see that fire, though — take it to the link I pasted!!!!!

Emilu…
Wow, I read that transcript and my gosh it is dead-out Obama/as you read it you can just see him in your minds eye/ears standing at the podium delivering this outrageous pandering.
I hope this thing is released tomorrow, especially after that 30 min. debaucle tonight. I admit I didn’t watch it,
turned the TV off and dropped to my knees in prayer!
Thank you for sharing!
My Lord if I have to see that horrible picture on more time – geeze.
October 29, 2008 at 11:27 pm
I just thought of something. Could this LA Times video be the “Whitey” tape that Larry Johnson of No Quarters mentioned way back when. Also, I wonder if Bill Ayers & his wife are sitting with Obama & Michelle all being nice and chummy.
October 30, 2008 at 6:26 am
Sorry Jen!!!
Feel free to use my post over there if you want to.
October 30, 2008 at 10:44 am
JEN:
SAVE YOUR BREATH BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE EXPRESSING.
PUMA DOES EXIST, and we are legion.
Rove and Rush have absolutely nothing to do with our movement, although I must admit that for me, personally, they are looking less and less radical compared with the kool aid drinkers. November 4th will show you just how strong we are.
October 30, 2008 at 11:53 am
Well, since Puma doesn’t exist, wtf are they all bitchin’ and moanin’ about.
McCain won’t get ANY votes from democrats. All the democrats are voting for Obama.
Suurrre.
(LOL!)
P.U.M.A.
October 30, 2008 at 7:56 pm
Wow!! This Jen person is scary. She deems we are insignificant, Kind of like all of the Obama people. Frightening that this type of elite, social snobs think they will run our wonderful Country. Obama and his ways will run My Country into the ground.
Vote McCain/Palin, save our Country.
Country First!!!!
