Tonight we spoke with a friend from Hillary Clinton’s campaign who is now working for McCain/Palin — and is specifically working with Democrats for McCain in Pennsylvania. We worked with her in Texas, Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania for Hillary and have spent many LONG hours with her in the trenches in all of those states. She’s smart, doesn’t BS, and never lies.
She says the same thing we do: John McCain will win Pennsylvania.
On November 4th, the news networks are going to be spinning and sputtering and playing catchup, but everything we see on the ground in PA is what we saw during the primaries: Obama has no shot of winning the Keystone State.
Here is specifically what we talked about tonight: never in any of our careers have any of us ever seen members of one party switching sides and voting for the other party as we see in this election with Democrats for McCain. There has never been anything like it. Not even the “Reagan Democrats” who voted for Reagan over Carter, for the simple fact that these “Reagan Democrats” weren’t identified and labeled until AFTER the election.
No, Democrats for McCain are real, are voting for McCain right now, and are open and organized, as well as self-identifying. Lynn Rothschild might be our poster gal, as one of the most prominent of our ranks, but it’s telling that everyone from Team Hillary that we know now works for McCain. ALL OF US. Whether they are open about it, like we are, or are working quietly behind the scenes, we can’t think of a single person we worked with on a daily basis for Hillary who is now working on behalf of Obama.
We all truly believe that John McCain will work more closely with Hillary Clinton in the Senate and make it a priority to team up with her on legislation than Obama ever would. We also believe Obama winning this election means his supporters would actively seek to eliminate all Clinton loyalists from the Democratic Party, to consolidate his power base and purge anyone who is not 100% loyal to him. For obvious reasons, those of us loyal to the Clintons will not let that happen without a fight.
But, this is all talking about leadership, and those of us who have invested two years of our lives in all of this — and have, in all honesty, spent every cent we had on this campaign. What about the regular voters?
Union members repeatedly tell all of us that they are lying to pollsters because the unions have been polling these people — and the unions will threaten people’s jobs if they don’t tow the union line. So, the people lie when asked whom they are supporting. But, the unions can’t control who they vote for on Election Day. And that’s when things are going to get interesting.
We do not believe Obama will carry Pittsburgh or Harrisburg in PA. He’ll win Philly, but not by the large margin he needs to take the state. You’ve heard Governor Ed Rendell is “worried” about Obama’s chances in Pennsylvania. That is an understatement. Obama will lose a state that hasn’t gone red in generations.
What’s happening here that’s not being reported is that “Reagan Democrats” who vote Republican whenever they feel that Democrats are out of touch, socialist, or too liberal are voting for McCain…and these people are being joined by PUMAs, DeMcCrats for McCain, Hillocrats, whatever you want to call them, who don’t like or trust Obama and who believe McCain/Palin would address the wants and needs of centrist Democrats much better than Obama ever would.
We personally believe this here at HillBuzz. That’s why we are doing this. We do not believe Obama will put the best interests of Americans first — instead, Obama will do what is best for Obama, the way he has always done. We do not trust this man or his socialist Kool-Aid and want no part of him.
In Pennsylvania, we are not alone.
The same people who ran the board for us in the primary — who assured us daily that the polls the media was pushing were wrong in claiming Obama would beat Clinton in PA — tell us on a daily basis that McCain is going to win Pennsylvania. There’s a damn good chance this won’t even be close, if what people are seeing on the ground right now holds, and is indicative of the whole state.
DEMOCRATS are staffing McCain offices across the state. DEMOCRATS are phone banking and canvassing for McCain. DEMOCRATS are raising large sums to fund this last week of campaigning.
DEMOCRATS.
This has NEVER happened before — and the media is ignoring it. The media consistently claims that Obama enjoys the support of 85% of Democrats, versus only 80% of Republicans who supposedly are supporting McCain. We call BS on all of this — we’d say 90% of Republicans are supporting McCain, and 65-70% of Democrats are actually supporting Obama. At least that’s the case in Pennsylvania, and in Ohio too. Our mission this next week is to reach out to every Democrat we can and let them know it’s okay to vote Republican this year — because the Republican is the better choice.
There are two things Hillary Clinton and John McCain have in common that we’re thinking about right now: (1) both love America more than anything and truly want what’s best for the country, and not themselves and (2) Clinton has a framed photo of McCain in her office, while McCain has a similar photo of Clinton in his.
Clinton and McCain are friends for a reason — and we know they will work well together these next four years. We’re going to face some tough challenges in McCain’s administration, and we sincerely do pledge to all Republicans reading this that the bipartisan spirit we’ve fostered during this campaign working together with Republicans to elect McCain will continue in these next 4 years, because America needs us working together.
We are all Americans right now — working together to stop a socialist from becoming president and taking all of us down a very dangerous path. Hillary’s Army is strong and mobilized, and is working its hard out for McCain/Palin. If you Republicans can match our enthusiasm and dedication, we will win this, and not just in Ohio and Pennsylvania, but all across the country.
We have the potential to make this a crippling loss not just for Obama, but for the far-left liberal wing of the Democratic party and the liberal elite media itself. We have the potential to wipe all of these kooks and loons off the political landscape with a loud, resounding loss for all of them on November 4th.
What we have learned about the state of Pennsylvania tells us our continued efforts are paying off — and that we just need to stay focused and keep working hard the next 7 days to win this for McCain/Palin and, in all honesty, win this for AMERICA too.
It’s an honor to be in this fight with all of you — if we work hard, we will indeed win.

please please please please be true…..Not saying I don’ believe you but I can’t even stomach the thought of that radical as prez of the best country in the world.
Most of me never believed the polls and most of my friends, including my wife, all think McCain will lose while I keep telling them he will win, but at times I have my doubts.
I just have this faith that Americans are not blind and regardless of party they will do whats best for the country.
Thought I would never say this but thank you to all of you Hillary/McCain supporters, you are all true Americans. While I don’t agree with most of her policies, I do trust that she loves this country and wouldn’t intentionally try to destroy it.
I also hope after McCain wins that both sides start working together to get things done. Pelosi and Reid, among a few others need to go and let the moderates get to work.

I am here in PA and I completely agree with your assessment. There is virtually no support for the Messiah here is western PA. I see reliable dems in my town here with lawn signs in their yards for the local and state dems with NO Obama signs. All of these same yards had Kerry/Edwards signs 4 years ago. We had no less than 200 Kerry/edwards signs in my town 4 years ago. I count 14 messiah signs this year. That is it. I am not kidding. The media is going to be shocked next tuesday.
October 28, 2008 at 3:57 am
I have been saying for over a month now that McCain/Palin are going to take PA. The Polls are bogus beyond measure. I know the state well and I can’t imagine Obama winning there. Especially in light of what Hillbuzz and the Pumas are doing.
I was no Hillary fan but compared to Obama she is a red blooded American and would never turn her back on the USA. On the other hand Obama would sell us out to the first bidder.
Stay Strong and rally around Sarah and Hillary will get her shot in 2012.
October 28, 2008 at 4:19 am
I don’t know if you guys are right but you damn sure got the right attitude!
October 28, 2008 at 4:35 am
Barack Obama could take a lesson or two from HillBuzz on how to inspire hope. Your enthusiasm is contagious, and your stories from the front lines of the campaign remind me every day that we’re going to win this thing. When the McCain/Palin ticket triumphs, it will be in no small part due to the efforts and energy of Hillary’s supporters. Thank you!

I believe you are right. 80% hang ups on pollsters – it’s the ignored poll that renders all others null. And how often can you insult an electorate before it tells you FU?

I haven’t observed a bi-partisan effort like this since the awful time following the Kennedy assassination (not even 9-11). I truly believe that Hillary and John McCain are the last chance of their (my) generation to do something truly great for this country. I’m praying that it finally happens. I’ve so enjoyed coming here the past few months, and thank you for your tireless efforts. I am touched by your loyalty toward Hillary, and it says much about her as a person.
October 28, 2008 at 5:47 am
As a PA resident, I can confirm what you are saying. To put this in perspective, I live on the rich liberal haughty Main Line. There are definitely more McCain-Palin signs than there are Obama-Biden ones.
Since I started phone banking at my local McCain office, I’ve talked to maybe two or three people who are voting Obama and nearly three times that many voting McCain. This is the SAME thing I noticed in the primaries — nearly everyone I called was supporting Hillary and Obama’s people were in the single digits (and I made A LOT of calls).
Don’t believe the inflated partisan polls. John McCain and Sarah Palin will carry this great state of Pennsylvania. Cuz here in PA, our bitter clingy taste buds have a natural aversion to Kool-Aid.
October 28, 2008 at 5:48 am
McCain i now have winning 293-233, picking up PA & NH w/ barry BARELY winning MN, WI, & MI & picking up IA & NM
also at worst case scenario if barry does win VA & CO (HIGHLY doubt he will) but McCain picks up PA he wins 273-265
so a PA win? HUGE for McCain
October 28, 2008 at 5:53 am
It would be truly beautiful to see Pennsylvania get called for McCain early next Tuesday. I don’t think it will happen — not because of the votes, but because the networks will refuse to call it while McCain is ahead.
Anyway, big leads in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida would actually make Election Night fun.

The London Financiers that Made Obama Now Endorse Him
The financiers of the world’s largest financial market spoke yesterday through the editorial pages of the Financial Times, declaring, “Obama Is the Better Choice.” Thus, the powers that made and own Obama through the financial forces of mega-speculator George Soros and British sub-agent Tony Rezko have endorsed him in a not-so-straightforward way. London doesn’t like some of Obama’s stated policies, but, Obama gets their prize for being a more effective sophist and manipulator.
Obama’s “policies are a blend of good, not so good and downright bad,” says the editorial, but Obama “fought a much better campaign.” And while “campaigning is not the same as governing….a campaign is a test of leadership. Mr Obama ran his superbly; Mr McCain’s has often looked a shambles.”
“Nor should one disdain Mr Obama’s way with a crowd…. Mr Obama, on form, is as fine a political orator as the country has heard in decades. Put to the right purposes, this is no mere decoration but a priceless asset.”

October 28, 2008 at 6:37 am
As a Republican, I applaud the Hillary supporters for helping us defeat Obama. The arrogance of the media and the Democrats is sickening. People aren’t buying their BS anymore. Welcome to our club. And again, thank you all for the help you have given McCain and Palin.
October 28, 2008 at 6:52 am
If we win this, it’s largely going to be due to all your hard work!
October 28, 2008 at 7:00 am
Wow. I would just like to say, “Thank you.” It’s so encouraging to read this when the Media is talking about a blowout for Obama and it’s even more encouraging to read about Democrats who recognize who the better candidate is. Obama claims to be the candidate of bipartisanship, but that’s obviously not the case…and you are all living proof of that. It’s about time both parties work together to do what’s best for the country instead of what’s best for their party–And you are paving the way!
October 28, 2008 at 7:00 am
I am born and raised in southwest PA, and I have lived here most all of my life. Your insights not only give me some confort in these troubled times, but makes me question if something IS in fact going on under the surface.
I am absolutely amazed at HOW FEW campaign signs and posters there are so far this year. This is HIGHLY atypical for our region. In fact, the only signs I am seeing are Murtha signs. There are the occasional McC/P and OB/B signs if you look for them, but it is conspicuously absent from the landscape this time in my northeast suburban stompin’ grounds.
Perhaps there is a deep-seated sanctity and respect for ones right to vote, that is largely taken for granted during good times. And perhaps, it has become a deeply guarded, precious, and personal thing this time.
How many can really be undecided at this point, honestly?
October 28, 2008 at 7:06 am
John McCain has a proven record of working with moderate democrats in the Sen. mccain/finegold, mccain/lieberman, mccain/kenedy and the ‘gang of 14′ prove that.
Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. John McCain get the Iran nuke problem obama doesn’t
October 28, 2008 at 7:08 am
It goes without saying that the polls have been categorically wrong in the past. Case in Point – the 1980 election (excellent overview by CBS Exec. here . What you are hearing “on the ground” in PA, is also being heard in Missouri, Ohio and get this, Massachusetts. Although known as a “Safe” Democrat state, 51% of those enrolled are: Independents – here’s the deal, after living under Obama’s Twin, Deval Patrick, for the past two years, in concert with a Mass. Democrat Controlled State Legislature – fees (taxes) have increased, the budget is through the roof, cuts are being made, the cost of everything is over the top, the state is hemorrhaging jobs (see tax increases on businesses), the health care program is in shambles, and that middle class tax cut? You got it – never materialized. Guess who is aware of this? The electorate. Yes, there are hard-line Democrats who won’t vote for any other ticket, yet, many of those are refusing to vote for President at all – which, is a vote for McCain. Alternately, those supporting McCain are doing so silently. Internal Polls must be telling Kerry something’s afoot, because he is hammering every editorial board across the state, whining about his image!! When was the last time Barney Frank had to run a campaign ad? Things are not well in “Happy Valley”. I’m not about to predict that Massachusetts will go McCain, but I also would not rule it out. Things are “tight” all over.
October 28, 2008 at 7:10 am
Are we whistling past the graveyard here? McCain has to win OH, PA, VA, MO, FL and NC and retain the red state of IA to makeup the impending loss of CO, NV and NM. Need a perfect storm to happen. Is it doable yes, probable no. There are no polls out of the 100’s that show any scenario right now McCain winning. Wish I was as positive as you guys.

GREAT rallying speech there at the end!!!! The last four paragraphs should be heard by all Americans. We are all working hard so that a socialist is not elected and that a sound defeat of the radical far left on the Democratic Party is delivered on Nov. 4th. Thanks for all you do.
October 28, 2008 at 7:13 am
When public servants decide to use their government positions to aid a candidate they have to be breaking laws and should be held accountable; or is it now legitimate campaign tactics for the Obama campaign to use the same Bush method of eliminating critics as was done by the U. S. Attorney General Gonzales?
But perhaps we citizens have “no standing” on this abuse of power either.
October 28, 2008 at 7:14 am
I am in awe and damn proud of all those Democrats who put America first.
Words cannot express ….

I am a confirmed Hillary hater from 1992. But I would definitely trust Sen Clinton as POTUS.The Obama machine is a dangerous force .I know that McCain as POTUS and Clinton as Senate majority leader would keep America safe. Ive been reading this site daily. You wont hear a cross word about Hillary from me until 2012;) Keep up the good work

God bless you all! Us Republicans will forever owe you a debt of gratitude. Your hard work, selflessness and dedication is truly inspiring and makes me all the more fired up! I volunteer here in Iowa, and people are coming out of the woodwork to volunteer, as never before. I don’t care what those polls say…information on the ground says otherwise and I keep likening the Obama “lead” to a movie set…from the front, the cardboard scenery seems real…but it can be blown over with just one gust of wind! Now, let’s get the Republican base energized and out to vote! DON’T BELIEVE THE POLLS!

I am a Libertarian, so I am sure we disagree on some policy issues. But, I was raised in a very union, very Democratic family. The Democratic party, IMHO, is a shell of its former self. In their raw grab for power, they have welcomed anyone who is “not Republican”…meaning Socialists, Marxists, Communists, anarchists, etc. It sure helps to beat the Republicans…but the party has no platform that all splinters agree on…except…we are not Republican.
I can not and will never vote Democrat while they welcome any political persuasion into their tent. As they say, if you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.
Having said all that…I take great comfort and pride knowing that there are some who hold the banner of the traditional Democratic party high. I think what you are doing is fantastic. Going against party lines…in pursuit of principle is inspiring to me and others. Good luck, God Bless.
I too will be voting for McCain.

Red-state conservative here. Proud member of the vast right-wing conspiracy.
You know what I love about you PUMAs?
You recognize Obama for the danger that he is.
It’s very good to know that not every Democrat has gone completely batshit crazy.
Now, we may be at each other’s throats in 4 years, but let’s stop the Marxist first. Save the country, and we can quibble about the details later.
I dearly hope what you’re saying about PA is correct.
I’m posting a positive comment at a Hillary website . . . is the VRWC going to revoke my membership? ;)

fwiw – in the event the charge of “racism” is made again in Pennsylvania, keep in mind this:
In 2006, Pennsylvania Republicans nominated a black man, Lynn Swann, as their gubernatorial candidate.
Lynn Swann, black man and Republican, got 40% of the vote.

October 28, 2008 at 8:49 am
As a Republican, I must say that if Mac and Sarah win this election it will be because of intelligent and independent-minded Democrats who crossed party lines to do the right thing for their country. Yes, Hillary and McCain both love their country first, not their own political power like somebody else we are aware of. It’s obvious to me that if Hillary had been the nominee she would be far far ahead in the polls and would be the next president. The fact that Obama has a slim lead (and BTW, I don’t believe these polls where people are lying to pollsters as the article pointed out) shows that the American people are wary of him, and rightly so. So a big thank you to our Democratic friends who I believe will help defeat Obama. 7 days to go . . . victory is in sight.
October 28, 2008 at 8:57 am
I am from a strong union state and union support for Obama is tepid at best. I honesty I think after the election, and Obama loses there will be a shift (for the better) in the dem party. We need a 2 party system that is filled with politicians that are proud of this country. Not mealy mouth race baiters, acorn cheats, and petty thugs!
October 28, 2008 at 8:57 am
As an unrepentant Reagan-conservative who once made jokes about Hillary riding a broom, I am both chastened and inspired by the HillBuzz Movement and its passionate defense of our liberty. How ironic it is to be in the last ditch – defending freedom – with my former nemeses.
Here they come.
Fix Bayonets.
October 28, 2008 at 9:00 am
Excellent article! Thanks for the REAL STORY from Pennsylvania.
Let’s keep FIGHTING!
I want to see McCain/Palin win in a landslide and KNOCKOUT Obama and the liberals from the Democratic Party.
October 28, 2008 at 9:07 am
Real Clear Politics has PA up by 10.3 points for Obama. If the opposite is true this will be amazing how wrong polls are.
October 28, 2008 at 9:07 am
I am a diehard Republican who voted for Hillary in the primary for the exact reasons you listed above. I understood that if the political cycle meant it was time for a liberal, then I wanted one who loved her country first above all else.
I am looking forward to restoring the bipartisanship the media destroyed. Thank you for mentioning that. Despite our differences, we love America and must save her from Obama.
October 28, 2008 at 9:09 am
“We are all Americans right now — working together to stop a socialist from becoming president and taking all of us down a very dangerous path . . . It’s an honor to be in this fight with all of you — if we work hard, we will indeed win.”
With tears, gladness, and determination . . . Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! God bless you!

I was one of the Republicans who literally hated the Clintons in the 90’s. Thanks to this election and your work, I now have a grudging respect for Hillary. It’s a strange world.
You are doing a great job.
October 28, 2008 at 9:16 am
We’ve not seen eye to eye in the past, but someone has to keep these socialists in check. Democrats and Republicans will always have their differences, but socialism can never be allowed to gain a foothold. It’s an insidious disease that must be beaten back now, before it’s too late. I truly hope you are right about the election, because I’m very worried about what Obama would do to this country.
October 28, 2008 at 9:19 am
I’ll admit that I’m a conservative who has too frequently begun to associate most Democrats with the far left nutjobs at the Daily Kos and the Huffington Post. This site has helped to provide me with a little perspective and reminded me not to paint all Democrats with the same brush.
Thanks for all of your efforts.
October 28, 2008 at 9:19 am
While the polls continue to show a landslide electoral victory for Obama, I have the audacity to hope for the tables to be turned based on information like this and the obvious lack of excitement about the Obama campaign that I see here in the Seattle area.
October 28, 2008 at 9:21 am
You may be a wee bit delusional.
And I say that as your supporter.
October 28, 2008 at 9:22 am
I’m sorry but I just don’t believe McCain can win PA, but I sure hope to be proven wrong. And if it turns out that the Hillary supporters put Mccain over the top and he does win the election, I will definitely donate to Hillary in the 2012 election!
October 28, 2008 at 9:23 am

No, Luis, you must be a close-minded fool who thinks with a narrow mind in simplistic patterns.
You could see my prior comment (#5) was completely supportive. If I cared to, I could link you to other sites where I’m clearly a McCain supporter.
(Scour AoSHQ if you’re really bored.)
However, data is data. The Pew early voter data seems to be diametrically bad. Again, I hope it’s an outlier. It doesn’t mean the situation is hopeless. But I think the assertions we will definitely win Pennsylvania and Ohio are overstated.
We might win both and they’re worth fighting for.

Obama wouldn’t be in PA if he didn’t think he needed to.
October 28, 2008 at 9:33 am
Hello all! I’m visiting from littlegreenfootballs, and I’m a Democrat. (Lots of us Dems at LGF – you’d be surprised! :-) Thank you so much for the inspiring post!
Just a quick update from my little corner of Delaware County, PA. Lawn signs in this area are running way differently than the last election. In 2004 it was HEAVILY Kerry in all townships – and he only carried the state by 2.5%. This time it seems to be more dependent upon the neighborhood. e.g – Villanova, Marple, heavily McCain. Havertown – surprisingly! – 50/50. Bala Cynwyd, Wynnewood about 60/40, Obama. Haverford, mostly Obama (no surprise with the college there). These are just places I happened to be driving through the last few weeks.
Typically the counties bordering Philadelphia are where elections are won or lost in PA. Obama MAY – or may not – have a majority here, but based upon my random lawn sign survey I don’t think he has the numbers that Kerry had.
I check your blog every day. Keep up the great work! :-)

Fantastic, HillBuzz.
And, Astroturfers… we’re on to you. Peddle your Kool-Aid elsewhere.
Everyone, to the barricades! Fight socialism!

You guys rock!! And I pray you’re right.
I keep saying that McCain will win Virginia, too, even though everybody laughs at me. I still say it and would bet money on it.
Also, just read that early voting in Colorado has been disappointing to the OFB and the Dem Party is getting nervous there.
Keep up the good work!!

Slublog, I cautioned against the common ridiculous overoptimism at Ace’s after the Palin selection — a selection I wholeheartedly supported as she was my very first choice — and I also advised against the defeatism overtaking Ace’s a couple weeks ago.
I have the same position today I have all along. This is winnable for McCain, but it’s a tough slog and he’s behind.
You’ve had a good start to the week and HillBuzz has the right attitude for the week’s work ahead. However, the Pew data definitely doesn’t correlate overly well with the colloquial impressions given here on Ohio and Pennsylvania.
That said, the Pennsylvania Dem primary polling data didn’t correlate well and Obama lost it. I am indeed hoping for a repeat.

We have the potential to make this a crippling loss not just for Obama, but for the far-left liberal wing of the Democratic party and the liberal elite media itself. We have the potential to wipe all of these kooks and loons off the political landscape with a loud, resounding loss for all of them on November 4th.
I cannot imagine a better scenario than watching Keith Olbermann wet himself on the air next Tuesday. My only hope is that people do not let this ongoing, fait accompli, voter suppression tactic work. We need enough votes to offset the fraudulent ones being cooked up by the Obama cultists.

Does anyone know what is going on in Virginia? Could the polls there be way off or is it really going to go blue?
October 28, 2008 at 9:51 am
But how can the Pew Research poll of early voters be explained? 19 points ahead?
October 28, 2008 at 9:52 am
A polling operation called TIPP predicted the 2004 Presidential race by by 3/10 of 1 percent. This year they believe it will depend on turnout who will win. Republicans tend to turn out in greater numbers at every election cycle.
The Democrats had a much lower turnout in 2004 then he thinks they will have this year and
he is not sure if the Republicans are as energized. This California story may indicate that they are energized. Crossover votes may also skew the race this year.
TIPP’s current view of the race is much closer than most other predictions and
look how McCain has inceased his lead the last three weeks.

Denial, party of 2. Your table is ready.
October 28, 2008 at 9:53 am
I never could take BHO seriously. I cannot believe the national polls, and certainly not the polls for Virginia and North Carolina. And I think most Pennsylvania (and not just the bitter clingers) and Ohio voters have a suspicion of the redistributor. In fact, I would not be surprised if BHO loses (not so much that the GOP ticket wins, in the sense that these are Democrat-leaning states) New Jersey and a couple of other states with good education levels and a good mix of high-wage blue collar and well-paying professional jobs.
October 28, 2008 at 9:53 am
Rasmussen has it 51% Obama and 46% McCain today. Their breakdown is 40% Dems, 32.8% Repubs and the rest independents. I have read where the high water mark for Dem v. Repub turnout was 2006 when it was 38% Dem and 36% Repub. If we assume that the crossover of party is the same and readjust Rasmussen to 2006 turnout, the results are as follows: 49% Obama and 49.2% McCain. This race is far from over.
October 28, 2008 at 9:58 am
But how can the Pew Research poll of early voters be explained? 19 points ahead?
The Obama campaign and Democrats in general have made a major push for early voting. The Republicans have not. The Pew poll makes it sound as though a huge percentage of voters have already cast their ballot, but when compared to the traditional turnout numbers it’s a minuscule number.
This doesn’t mean McCain will win, but it does mean it’s far too early for Obama supporters to begin popping the champagne corks.

As a Pennsylvanian who’s now lived through 5 Presidential elections, I can tell you without hesitation Fauxbama has no chance of carrying PA, and never did.
Polls claiming huge leads are an absolute joke. This guy is the weakest on the ground candidate I have seen in PA since Dukakis.
Fauxbama had a rally here in Pittsburgh last night, he got about 20 to 25k to show up, in DOWNTOWN Pittsburgh. Palin had a rally at a high school football stadium in Beaver and got a crowd of 10,000+.
McCain is taking PA, and the election. Claims that Fauxbama is going to win this thing, let alone win it by some huge margin are laughable. Stay positive and motivated, the Goebellesque propoganda campaign by the MSM to depress the republican turnout has failed, and failed miserably.
Let them keep trying to shuck and jive that Fauxbamas already won it by a landslide nonsense, the collective finger to the MSM will be seen loud and clear on 11/4, and it will be most amusing to watch their breakdowns on live TV when they are forced to realize their created reality has crashed down upon them.
October 28, 2008 at 10:05 am
In order for Obama to be 19 points ahead in PA, he would have to be about 15 points ahead nationally. I don’t believe that’s the case for a number of reasons. Therefore, I think that poll is garbage.
October 28, 2008 at 10:07 am
McCain will win in PA – and will win the election. I cannot wait!
My husband told me about this site and I’ve been checking in for a couple of weeks now. You guys are the BEST!!
It’s tough being a Republican in NJ so I can relate to those of you in NY who feel so outnumbered. I do think McCain will do better than expected in NJ – there are loads of McCain signs in my area and people are pumped.
October 28, 2008 at 10:10 am
I am honestly in tears over this letter. I am filled with joy at my renewed hope, and am moved beyond words at your love of country over politcal party.
I pray with all my heart we come together after we elect John McCain and work to get something accomplished for the American people.

Pew is going on what people are telling them as they walk out of early polling places. Just like telephone polls, who stops to talk to these people? Just like the people you meet in the mall who want to ask you a few questions. Who talks to them?
October 28, 2008 at 10:12 am
The Pew poll seems like a pretty huge lead. 19 points seems wrong. I grant you that.
Anyway, it’s only one data point. I certainly hope McCain wins. The PUMAs here have the right attitude with making a push for PA/OH.

If PA is not in play, then why are Obama and Biden campaigning there today? I heard on the news that Biden made ANOTHER gaffe- this time he said that if you make LESS THAN $150,000 you will not be taxed. Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t that $100,000 less than THE $250,000 THAT OBAMA CLAIMED AT THE LAST DEBATE TWO WEEKS AGO? Obama also stated at a speech today that it was $200,000 or less- so what is there a sliding scale now? Unbelievable!
October 28, 2008 at 10:27 am
Greetings all. I’ve been lurking for a while, followed the link from Ace.
If PA and possible OH go to McCain, is it too much to hope that the barely blue states to the west will fall, too? Michigan, Colorado, New Mexico? How active are the PUMA’s in those states?
I would love to see a blow out, the electoral equivalent of slamming the door in Obama’s face.
October 28, 2008 at 10:29 am
You guys are an inspiration. I hope you are right. I voted for Obama in 2004 when he campaigned on the One America theme from his convention speech. His voting record was something different. Fool me once…
October 28, 2008 at 10:31 am
That Pew poll article doesn’t show the breakdown by party.
The closest it gets is its comment that 40% have a positive view of the Republican party and 57% have a positive view of the Democrat Party.
So I think the poll just stinks. The reports coming from most states is that the number of ballots cast by party is fairly close to even.

once before in our countrys history the fate of the nation was in question on a july day in 1863.then as now americans from various states and backgrounds stood firm behind a low stone wall as we stand behind our ideals.they stood firm against what appeared to be overwheming force and even though their line was pierced and they were bloodied they never broke that day thus ensureing the survival of this union .we are facing overwhelming propaganda and not bullets and the cold steel of bayonets now in the keystone state so we can do no less than those other americans did on that july day so long ago in a little pennslyvania town named GETTYSBURG.

From what I’ve seen here and on many other blogs, the trolls are out in FORCE today. Makes me think they are a WEE BIT nervous, otherwise, wouldn’t they be out celebrating rather than finding opposition blogs to bother?

Dick Morris said on Hannity I believe last week that a pollster has grudge against McCain… Rasmussen??? Morris said last night that Obama is hemorrhaging votes as the result of Joe the Plummer, Wealth redistribution remarks & McCain ads addressing this issue. So don’t go by MSM Polls…they want to suppress the voter turnout for McCain/Palin.
October 28, 2008 at 10:34 am
Hmm, interesting article. I must say if things were looking so good for Obama in PA why would he be holding two events today in PA and what about the e-mails from Gov Rendell to the Obama campaign(which he has now tried to minimize).
October 28, 2008 at 10:34 am
My neighbor is a construction manager at a large firm here in Las Vegas. He says that the guys who work for him are saying under their breath that they will ALL going to vote McCain/Palin. Even though their union are putting pressure to vote for Obama. Nevada is a pretty red state except for Clark County.
Trivia: “The Strip” is not in the city of Las Vegas.

I just have to tell you, I have never voted for a Democratic presidential candidate, but if Hillary’s supporters save us from Obama and his socialism in this year’s election, I will vote for Hillary in four years.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! You give me hope for this country. Obama should never be president… He hasn’t proved that he loves this country. Hillary and McCain have.
Thank you again. We owe you our eternal support. My 21 year old son just joined the Marines (he’s in his second week of boot camp) and I can’t imagine what the military would be like under Obama’s reign.
Again, thank you!
October 28, 2008 at 10:58 am
i hope this is so true – i would be sooooooooo proud of Hillary – i emailed her some time back and asked how on earth she could support obama because i know she loves our country –go dems for reps
October 28, 2008 at 10:58 am
All I have to say is McCain-Palin MUST win not only for our country but to wipe the smile off Lucifer’s face — and her little side kicks Reid and Howard Dean too!
“Elect us, hold us accountable, and make a judgment and then go from there. But I do tell you that if the Democrats win and have substantial majorities, Congress of the United States will be more bipartisan,” said Pelosi.
October 28, 2008 at 11:01 am
Wow – I never ever thought I would say this but God Bless Hillary’s supporters. This is forcing a fundamental rethink of what I have to admit has been reflexive anti-hillary sentiment on my part for the last 15 years. If she attracts patriotic and courageous individuals like yourselves than I might have to consider supporting her politically in the future. You don’t realize how much of a “up is down” thing this for me to say. If republicans were showing half the fight you guys are this thing would be in the bag for McCain.
I am sincerely grateful for your efforts and am on my way to donate to your bus canvass efforts. God Bless
October 28, 2008 at 11:02 am
From a moderate Republican – Thank you to all those Democrats that are fighting the good fight to keep Obama and his socialist agenda out of the White House! Thank you for bucking the liberals that are trying to take over your party! McPain/Palin 2008!
October 28, 2008 at 11:04 am
Because the PEW poll like other big media polls are biased and designed to demoralize us. The same way they did during those primaries predicting big wins for Obama in California, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Texas. And Hillary kept winning tose big states where she was outspent more than 3 to 1 by Obama.
It won’t work this time because we know better. Obama bots, get ready for President McCain.
October 28, 2008 at 11:08 am
I live in PA about 1 hour south of Scranton.
I can tell you that I too believe McCain will win my state.
There are equal numbers of o signs as McCain/Palin signs….and I am surprised each day that the o signs aren’t popping up as the polls keep jamming down our throats !!
We’ve been called bitter, racists, rednecks and crackers by o and his supporters! I pray that many in my state will protect America and join me, a Democrat and vote for McCain.
McCain/Palin
PUMA!
Hillary 2012

What a bitter bunch of hags you all sound like.
I’m an EX Republican voting for Obama for two reasons: I truly think he’s the bst person for the job and Sarah Palin is setting women back 100 years!
October 28, 2008 at 11:09 am
btw, in you alternate universe, Barack is leading in TX, OK and AK, so they’ll offset your alt universe loss of PA. enjoy the election.

You may want to put this picture on this blog. The intensity of McCain’s gaze on Hillary is a little creepy but it also shows very clearly his admiration and affection for her.

At this point pay attention to where Obama is spending his time and money. He is in PA. If PA were sewn up he wouldn’t spend his time there. And that is a state where the polls are showing him with a sizeable lead. What about the states where his lead is slim? Also pay attention to how Murtha is doing. I think that is telling.
October 28, 2008 at 11:14 am
I must have lost my first letter but feel this so deeply that I have to write it again.
Friends I am so grateful to you wonderful people I could cry. This post today cheered me up so much I can’t even tell you.
Seeing you join with us for the sake of our country gives me hope for America that I haven’t felt in such a long time. I literally weep when I think of you.
I vow as you have so heroically done, to put partisan politcs aside and join together from this day forward to act for what is best for this country. We may not always agree exactly what that is, like we do right now, but we can love each other as fellow Americans and treat each other with respect. I am so glad to personally vow to do that.
John McCain will as always, cross the isle and try and get things done. He is one of the few who do right now. I am so glad you all recongize that. You are right that he will work with Hillary and she with him.
Had Hillary been our president, she would have had my respect and my prayers. Obama will never have either.
Friends the partisan hate is killing us. America deserves better. We ARE better.
Thank you so much for your courage and honor is this fight to preserve our very freedoms.
May God bless every PUMA.
May God bless McCain/Palin.
May God bless America and keep her safe.

A couple things are becoming clear to me.
1) Our greatest victory (note the word *our*) this November will be the slaying of fringe creatures lurking in the fever swamps of both Left and Right.
2) A close second on the victory front is witnessing the collapse and utter disintegration of Big Media. Flush the BM.
3) All Americans gathered here from Left and Right who have been thrown together through circumstance and priorities must — MUST — continue working together for the economic good and security interests of our nation. We have far more important things in common than issues on which we disagree.
We owe HillBuzzers a huge debt of gratitude for raising the bar of civility, putting country first, and standing tall against the entire zeitgeist… and in doing so, inspiring an army of militant optimists to work together for a national victory.

That sort of evidence calls for a post that’s a little more measured than this one; maybe a “Well, despite the polls we think McCain will pull this by a slender margin.” Instead you say “Obama has no shot at winning” and then cite to…well, nothing except your belief that secret Democrats are working on behalf of McCain everywhere and that only unions are conducting all these polls. Uh, ok. Sorry but, every indicator is that McCain will lose Penn and the election in general, and bold pronouncements and conspiracy-mongering aren’t going to change that.

I’m a Democrate and have been hoping to hear this confirmation…what a relief.
. Obama is too new and inexperience
. Questional Birthplace and background
. Unacceptable ties to terrorists and ACORN
. Socialistic idealism – NOT FOR AMERICA!
He portrays change as to changing the Bush-Admin, policies, etc. but we now understand Othat bama’s theme for “Change” is from Capitalism to Socialism – thanks to Joe the Plumber. Not only that, Americans will lose the freedom of speech under ObamaNation Admin. as shown in the media how they attack Joe the Plumber for questioning his motives.
When teenagers are angry at their parents, they run away to stay with friends for comfort because their emotional reactions got the best of them. But then they find out that there’s no place like home.
This election is not a temporary relief, you can’t go back home once you leave. The economy will come back, but once we’ve become a socialist country, the economy, american dreams, and capitalism is forever lost – REMEMBER THIS! This is the time to fight for AMERICA!
So all republicans and democrats must vote for McCain. I’m a democrate and I don’t like Bush-Admin either. But this time I’m standing behind the men/women that have been and still continues to fight for AMERICA. A vote for McCain is a vote for AMERICA.
Obama supporters are worried about the economy? Who isn’t except for the super riches! But I’m worry for America. First security, then prosperity shall follow.

I live in Kansas which always goes Republican,,,,the unions namely IAM are not supporting Obama nor are their members. The IAM endorsed Hillary…they have been silent since then! We will win! Internal polling shows Obama has not closed the gap. For more on this read the following post:

I wholeheartedly agree with everything HillBuzz’s post says, except that I don’t think McCain will win “Harrisburg” city proper. He will win Dauphin County and CD17. The city will no doubt go to Obama. Just a clarification.
The analysis of union voters is 100% as stated by Hillbuzz. Union leaders and union rank and file are miles apart on this year’s election.

Remember Michigan? we were disinfranchised here in the primary….. I suppose our votes will be counted on election night for McCain/Palin, how sweet it will be to turn the state red for the entire country to see………they might think twice next time…. McCain is the BETTER Candidate.
Michigan Dems and hillary supporters for McCain/Palin!!!

Snake45,
To leftists like Pelosi, “bipartisan” means Republicans bowing to the will of Democrats.
Therefore, more Democrats, fewer Republicans, means more “bipartisanship.”
October 28, 2008 at 11:29 am
McCain and Palin should win this election so we can declare war on Russia adn Iran. Else we will have to deal with them here.

No, I do not believe one thing Pelosi, Reid or Howard Dean say. Of course they’ll be more bi-partisan if they do not have to listen to Republicans at all! The democratic party I voted for in the 1990’s and 2000 is gone and the leaders are three people who I would honestly not shake their hands with just to be polite. They disgust me. They are not leaders they are polarizing hate mongers and should be thrown out of party leadership. Even democrats voting for Obama hate Nancy Pelosi!

You guys are awesome! You have totally changed how I think of Democrats.
If you deliver PA for McCain, which means McCain wins the Presidency, since he does not have the indecency to run for a second term, I will never forget what you have done.
The kind of people you are forces me to reconsider how I view Hillary. She cannot inspire people like you to do what you are doing and not be far more than I have given her credit for; I mean this sincerely. I have voted Republican all my adult life but I believe in the need of a healthy two party system in America and what you are doing is saving the Democratic Party from radicalization and marginalization and eventually, doom.
Fight on! You guys are great and we are going to party like mad-fiend rock-stars if we win, sorry make that when we win!
October 28, 2008 at 11:35 am
As a lifelong Republican i have to say—-Im proud to work along side Hillary’s Democrats here in Pennsylvania– they are patriotic and the best of people. If we do win PA it will be because of these passionate, hard working Americans who were wise enough to see when it was time to put country before party….
If Obama does win….i commit my full ground team to a Hillary challenge of the incumbent in 2012—
October 28, 2008 at 11:36 am
This is really scary to me. I’m scared to see the McCain-Palin in a global leadership position – nothing but violence and ignorance in the future. There is no comparison of Hillary’s values to McCain values – she said so herself. You all are just …. just… I don’t know. I hope you all will look at Hillary’s values, Obama’s values, and McCain values (which change with the wind and rain!) and vote along those values rather than in an anti-0bama attitude. You are just wrong. – Oregon voter
October 28, 2008 at 11:36 am
Delightfully nutty assessment of PA. I want to offer you a ONETIME offer that’ll make you rich beyond your dreams, on the new ion-powered Hovercraft project up in AK that meets the Road to Nowhere in Ketchikan and ferries travelers in quiet comfort across the strait to the airport and back again.
But you have to act NOW!

Hogwash.
Electing McCain/Palin will be that bridge to nowhere that takes us over the edge and you know it. The road to that bridge has been paved for the past 8 years. No one could accidentally make such a mess of this country; it was a 20+ year agenda to dismantle the government and the progress made during the 60s.
McCain/Palin are the worst possible choice for this country. It is time to dismantle the radical right evangelical conservatives out of mainstream government and keep them on the fringes.
October 28, 2008 at 11:39 am
Wow,
You would rather risk a possible Palin presidency than elect the most qualified candidate to punish Obama because Hilary did not make the cut. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. How long to you think Palin would last in a real crisis if something happened to Mcain?
October 28, 2008 at 11:40 am
What fantastic news! It is imperative that we keep BHO from the White House, so I’m fighting as hard as I can (California) for a McCain/Palin victory.
October 28, 2008 at 11:41 am
Hmmmm….I guess all of the polls could be wrong. The election could be stolen in McCain’s favor. Democrats and Republicans for Obama could forget to vote. Bush could be telling the truth. McCain really isn’t 72. Palin really is well informed and speaks her own ideas.
October 28, 2008 at 11:42 am
McCain will LOSE Pennsylvania. He, just like the guy before him, is simply NOT qualified to be president, both due to his diminished mental and physical capacity (due to his age) and his attitude – while Obama makes logically correct statements along with the passion of the guy who “sees the light”, all McCain does is brings up stupid arguments like “Joe The Plumber” (who is NOT a licensed plumber) or “spread the wealth” – that’s exactly what ANY government does anyways. It collects taxes from citizens and redistributes it to the military, social security, pays elected officials salaries, etc. It is very simple to understand for a 1/2 brained person, but not to McCain and his utterly unqualified VP and his cronies. It’s time to move to a better life for 98% of us, not just the “guys who own 7+ houses and can’t even remember it”.
October 28, 2008 at 11:42 am
I hope you are right! I still can’t imagine why so many people would be duped into voting Obama given his ultra liberal stance on everything. The media is doing a great job of trying to act like McCain has no chance but I hope he pulls the upset! If he does – we won’t know about it until late on Nov 4th or even not until Nov 5th. The news medias will call the election for Obama too early. And they will have to eat their words.
October 28, 2008 at 11:42 am
Wow – the ‘turfers are in overdrive, today.
Gotta love the signs of that.
October 28, 2008 at 11:42 am
You sound like such a sick, twisted woman! Pleas get some help. And better help than the Clintons have provided Obama after all their protestations about being on the same team. God, what cynicism, what bitterness you have! It’s SAD.
October 28, 2008 at 11:45 am
So much of what I read here is happening elsewhere…my in-laws, for instance, have never voted Republican for anything and are not only voting McCain but wanting a sign for their yard. Will be so sweet to see the Obamapress proved wrong. Hoping to keep Georgia and all the US Marxist free!
October 28, 2008 at 11:45 am
McCain’s going to win PA? LOL You’re out of your mind. Dream on… He’ll be lucky to get 180 electoral college votes out of the entire country.
October 28, 2008 at 11:47 am
Hello Americans,
Please, please read the definition of Socialism before you parrot each-other in a vain attempt to generate uncertainty and doubt.
You ignorantly call Obama a Socialist because of his tax policy. What would you call McCain’s suggestion of buying up people’s mortgages?
The hypocrisy and ignorance is astounding.
October 28, 2008 at 11:49 am
“We do not trust this man or his socialist Kool-Aid”.
If that is not racist, I don’t know what is. And no, I am not black if that is what you are thinking. Bottom line is, if Obama were not black, the “Democrats” that you are referring to would not even be thinking of supporting the the McCain/Palin ticket. Mark my words, Obama will win Pennsylavania because there is more of us out there who belive in equality and unity.

I’m a little confused. I worked with the Hillary campaign in PA, I canvassed, I campaigned during the primaries, and I still do, though lately it’s been for the senatorial prospects that she is pushing. Are any of you Hillary supporters? Do you get her emails? What are you doing about the senatorial and congressional candidates that she is pushing? Anyone wanna help out and phone bank for them?

October 28, 2008 at 11:53 am
I will say this, without Ohio, John McCain will end his career in the US Senate and with Colorado, New Mexico, New Hampshire going the way they are going, as well as Virginia, Pennsylvania is as do or die for McCain as Ohio. So I only hope your right. Either way, your sentiments are greatly appreciated!
October 28, 2008 at 11:53 am
Obama will win this state and will win on Nov. 4th.
Thank you.
Republican turned Dem in the fine state of PA!
October 28, 2008 at 11:53 am
Is this for real or did a Republican write this? The words contained within this piece seem way too good to be true. I believe McCain and Clinton are good friends, but would it be possible for her staffers to work behind the scenes for him? It would certainly benefit her chances in ‘12!
October 28, 2008 at 11:53 am
It’s hard to believe there are still PUMAs out there. You will put your emotions before the good of the country. Loyalty to the Clintons? What does that even mean? If you respected their policies, clearly Obama is the better choice over McCain for you. If that’s not why you have this loyalty towards them, I have no idea what you believe in. And you would really rather risk having Palin as our president? (If you don’t think that will be dangerous, you have lost all facility for thinking.) I don’t believe you have such a strong pull as to influence the outcome of the election. But if you do, do you think the majority of the democrats would support Hillary in 2012 knowing this? I know at this point it’s nearly impossible for you to think rationally about the election. Why don’t you sit this one out and do the country a favor.
October 28, 2008 at 11:55 am
Keep up the great work. This upset is going to be sweet.
October 28, 2008 at 11:55 am
Snake, it makes sense once you understand that, in Democrat terms, “bipartisan” means they get everything they want and a few Republicans vote “yes,” too.

As a citizen of the great state of Pennsylvania, I will be proud and happy to submit my vote for Barack Obama and work to give the state and its electoral votes to him.
October 28, 2008 at 11:58 am
I call BS. Hillary Clinton has been campaigning harder than anyone for Obama. Anyone who respects her beliefs and her positions should listen to HER, not people who supposedly supported her and are now suddenly supporting McCain, despite being diametrically opposed on virtually every issue.
Obama and Clinton are virtually identical on the issues, in terms of how the actually vote. They may have different styles, and obviously, are very different people. But they are as similar as McCain and Bush – who, as we all know by know, vote the same 90% of the time.
October 28, 2008 at 11:58 am
For X-man… you will appreciate this.
From today’s WSJ Political Diary:
Quote of the Day
“According to The Huffington Post, Obama’s lack of experience is immune from criticism because he attended Ivy League schools, ‘was a serious and successful student,’ is a well-traveled, published author, and has a diverse background. Heck, he’s me! Yet, in every one of my encounters with America’s rural communities, the diversity of my privileged experience was eclipsed by the depth of theirs. I had rhetoric; they had well-measured speech, punctuated by forbearing silences. I had easy answers; they knew there was no such thing. It is not that the Republican base is anti-intellectual, as David Broder claims; they are anti-elitist. An Ivy League education is hardly a universal signal of competence in anything other than the liberal cultural canon ”
– Joan Chevalier, a New York City speechwriter and essayist, writing in the Boston Globe.
October 28, 2008 at 11:59 am
Have you lost your mind? How can you support Hillary and now say that you support Palin/McCain? Tha’t is way beyond insulting Hillary!
October 28, 2008 at 12:00 pm
On the ground in Erie many Dems seem not very excited about Barry O. The 2004 race the Dem strong hold inside the city was obvious. Kerry support all over, signs, and bumper stickers everywhere. This year the Obama signs are very limited to the inner city areas. The Dem party loyalist(committee people, their families, and close friends)are not even displaying the yard signs, bumper stickers etc….Conversations I have had with Dems even reinforces what I have observed. Obama most likely will come out of the city leading but not as Dems have in the past. Kerry won the whole county by 10,000 in 04. Plus a lot of the Hillary females are warming up to Sarah Palin. Palin will be stumping here in a few days this could be more telling.
October 28, 2008 at 12:00 pm
I read your article crying and praying and thanking God for you.
As a republican I cannot tell you how grateful I am for your work for our country and your COURAGE.
Would that our party had more FIGHTERS like all of you!!!
October 28, 2008 at 12:04 pm
You people are living in a fantasy world. I realize it’s hard to face the fact that your candidate is going to lose but at least try and have some sense of reality. McCain blew it when he picked Palin. Talk about scary. The thought of any possibility of her becoming president is absolutely terrifying. She may have more “executive experience” than any of the other candidates but then so does the average high school student body president. That doesn’t make them qualified to be POTUS. Compare the way Palin answers questions to Obama or McCain or Biden. She is absolutely clueless. She just falls back on her folksy talking points. There’s absolutely no substance to her. And I’m not being sexist. Compare Palin to Hillary…No comparison. And yet how come no one accuses Hillary of not having any “executive experience”? Talk about a double standard. Anyone who is really a supporter of Hillary and what she stands for would never support Palin…never in a million years. They are polar opposites. The only thing they have in common is they are both women. And ultimately that was the deciding factor in McCain choosing her. He ignored the fact that she is totally unqualified and make a totally political and cynincal play to try and get the votes of Hillary supporters. Thank the Lord that it is backfiring big time on him.

October 28, 2008 at 12:08 pm
Ok. Are you guys crazy? I mean, did you actually support Hillary or any of her policies? Remember those policies which have nothing to do with McCain/Palin’s policies? Those policies that are rather much more like Obama’s? Is this a website just pretending to be Hillary supporters (remember that she’s for Obama now)? Do you really think she’d prefer McCain and Palin (who does not in any way compare with Hillary’s brilliance) over Obama? Also, as a PA resident, I don’t know where you’re getting your numbers but you have to stop smoking whatever it is you’re smoking. Also, socialism? C’mon. This country has tons of socialist programs already in place (hello welfare) and we’re the better for it. Stop living in the cold war and move on to the 21st century.

I cannot believe this! What is the matter with you people? After the last 8 years – you want MORE? And if bailing out the criminals who destroyed you credit system for their own enrichment is not “socialism” what is?
George W Bush should have been impeached. His really were “high crimes” – and McCain has supported W 90% of the time! And all McCain will do is allow the corporate interests who currently run the federal government to continue to do so.
If Iraq (and the mythical WMDs) and the great crash of 2008 are not convincing enough then you must be motivated by something much, much worse. I fear for the world, not just America, if you are right.
October 28, 2008 at 12:16 pm
I sure hope you are right. It does at least give me hope that there are democrats out there who aren’t hypnotized by the Obama Beast.
Every day I wish more and more that Hillary got the nomination. There is a statement I thought I would never make. Comrade Obama scares me that much.

OPERATION CHAOS — FINAL PHASE
doesn’t anyone remember? rush driving all those republicans to re-register dem in order to help hillary destroy obama in PA?
this is the final phase. all those “new” dems, that have been over reported in all polling data, many are actually republicans — and will be voting mccain.
one estimate had it at nearly 100,000 R’s who turned D just for the primary. and it’s time for them to return home.

October 28, 2008 at 12:22 pm
I just got back from campaign headquarters. I’ve been working the phone bank for six weeks, and there have always been registered Democrats there working with me.
After four years of living here in Pennsylvania, I still, as a native Hoosier, find it an odd state, with odd politics. Worry not about Filthadelphhia, but the four bedroom counties ringing it on the west. Hillary won two of those counties in the primary. I hear from people who live there that there are more McCain signs than there were Bush signs in the last election, and notably fewer Obama signs than Kerry signs. McCain may carry Pittsburgh; it’s smaller than Philly, and much more conservative. Pittsburgh is the blue collar, steel worker city. Two bedroom counties there are crucial: Westmoreland and Washington counties. If he can carry one of them, he can win the state. Everything between Pittsburgh and Philly, except for Harrisburg, is about as red state conservative as it gets.
October 28, 2008 at 12:24 pm
thank you, dmw.
honestly, stop and think for a moment. i beg of you. not because i’m afraid of this “movement” but because you are disgracing the person you so strongly support. how can you call barack obama a socialist? and not call hillary a socialist? they are so similar in terms of policy it is ridiculous.
maybe you think hrc deserved to win and that’s fine. maybe you think she was a better candidate and that’s fine. but at some point you must put aside the silly grudge you hold against obama and his supporters and go for what is in your self-interest. john mccain has nothing in common with hillary clinton. you are saying you would vote for a continuation of george bush over barack obama. did you watch the debates? the arguments on policy were on the most nuanced, specific issues. their vision and their direction is the same.
so, i beg of you to please reconsider this foolishness. you are proving nothing, and one day you will look back and wonder why you did what you did.

First of all, I am a democrat, second of all, anyone who claims to be a true democrat and agrees with voting for McCain knowing that he supported George W. Bush 90% of the time is an idiot!!!
If you’ve seen the Obama commericals recently where McCain himself states ‘I’ve voted with George W. Bush 90% of the time…’, how could you possibly think that this self proclaimed ‘maverick’ will actually create any substantial chance in Washington. Hello??? He’s been there the entire time. Wake up America!!! Please open your minds and make informed, educated decisions about your candidate. Don’t be lead by fear, be lead by intelligent choice. Make the right choice and vote for Obama/Biden. Sincerely, Brian J. Chesters

1 in 3 Obama votes lives with a McCain voter. Let’s get the truth heard and save this country!
October 28, 2008 at 12:37 pm
As a conservative, I have not been a fan of the Clintons, but I gained new respect for her fortitude and tenacity in this race. I was appalled at the overt sexism, and the attempts to push her out of the race before all of the votes were cast. Geraldine Ferraro was right – if Obama was white, Hillary would be the nominee. And, I never doubted that Hillary would always put her country first, as would John McCain. Now we should all put country first : McCain 08, Hillary 12.
October 28, 2008 at 12:37 pm
Steve has Bush Derangement Syndrome. These people need to look to the future and stop whining about the past.
After a year with Obama he’ll wish to hell Bush was still in.
October 28, 2008 at 12:39 pm
But lots of really bad things are going to happen if Obama is elected, ruining the paradise that Bush and his friends created over the last eight years. The free markets of the past three months will be reversed into a socialist hell. This is what I hear from Fox News and Rush, who tell me what to think every day shortly after I get up.
October 28, 2008 at 12:40 pm
i beg of you. not because i’m afraid of this “movement” but because you are disgracing the person you so strongly support. how can you call barack obama a socialist? and not call hillary a socialist?
Real easy. Hillary is a patriot and didn’t hang around America bombing terorists, go to am America hating churches, didn’t support Khalidi and on and on.
Hillary is no socialist by any means. Like Bill Clinton said, Obama is a Chicago thug.
Big difference in the 2. Night and day.

October 28, 2008 at 12:43 pm
Oh, c’mon Andy. All that polling crap is just the result of the very co-ordinated and concerted efforts of all PUMAS to fool the pollsters in Pennsylvania. Imagine, they have been able to fool every pollster since, when, early Summer? I’ve never seen a more disciplined, well-managed group….wait a minute…I have seen a more disciplined, well-managed group…it’s the OBAMA campaign!
BWAHAHAHAHAHA.
October 28, 2008 at 12:43 pm
I am so tired of the McCain supported George Bush 90% of the time … Obama supported George Bush 75% of the time. So did Hillary Clinton. So what is your point exactly – am I supposed to be scared of that extra 15% from a man who has bucked his own party repeatedly compared to a man who has NEVER gone against his party on anything significant or controversial? At the end of the day the parties agree on a lot of things – which is why silent majorities, moderates and independents decide every election. Every one. Brain-washed college students following a fad, people you dig up to register in exchange for cigarettes and freaks drinking Kool-Aid on either side help boost votes, but they do not decide elections. Not even close. What matters on Tuesday is what happens on the ground and McCain-Palin will prevail.
October 28, 2008 at 12:46 pm
PS The big difference is that OBAMA CAMPAIGNS LIKE HILLARY ON THE ISSUES TO GET ELECTED BUT WHEN YOU DELVE INTO WHO HE REALLY IS HE IS AN AMERICA HATING MARXIST. (AND A LIAR)
October 28, 2008 at 12:46 pm
“but it’s telling that everyone from Team Hillary that we know now works for McCain. ALL OF US. Whether they are open about it, like we are, or are working quietly behind the scenes, we can’t think of a single person we worked with on a daily basis for Hillary who is now working on behalf of Obama.”
Everyone but Hillary herself. I know she has been “gagged” by the DNC, but is there any way to convince her to to go public with her support of McCain. She knows how terrible Obama would be for this country. She still has time to make an impact. Principles over party.
I too am a Hillary supporter now campaigning for McCain. I can’t fathom the devastating idea of Obama winning.
October 28, 2008 at 12:47 pm
In suburban Northern Cali I see almost no signs at all. Lots of Kerry signs four years ago though. Could be due to simple polarization: nobody wants to put any sign out for fear of vandalism.
The Bradley Effect is so yesterday. In 8 days the newspapers will be discussing the Obama Effect – Obama was screwed by a fawning press that the public no longer trusts and voted accordingly.
October 28, 2008 at 12:48 pm
I’m sorry — Obama has no values. Whatever gave you that impression Mr. Oregon? If he had values Hillary would have been the nominee or at the very least the VP.
October 28, 2008 at 12:49 pm
I’m a centrist Republican that voted for Clinton in 1992 and, in retrospective, the 1990’s were good because we had divided government checking the fringe instincts of both parties. This should be McCain’s closing statement this week. Strong and repeated. To have an all-Democratic government is one thing (think 1976 – 1980) but to have an all-far left government is quite another.
And quite disquieting.
October 28, 2008 at 12:53 pm
HamiltonJay, As a fellow Pennsylvanian I agree. Well said buddy.
October 28, 2008 at 12:55 pm
I am going to laugh and laugh and laugh when this supposedly huge movement of Hillary supporters for McCain fails to materialize on election day. I seriously don’t believe your movement exists aside from some fakers posing as such in your blog comments.
Unicorns and hobbits don’t exist either.
Every single poll since 9-25-08 has had Obama ahead. If they are ALL wrong and McCain wins I’ll be very surprised. I don’t expect to be surprised though.
October 28, 2008 at 12:55 pm
Also, to the trolls…
Hillary did not just “deserve” to win, she would have won if not for the CRIMINAL fraud perpertrated by the Obama campaign during the caucuses.
http://www.newsmax.com/timmerman/obama_voter_fraud/2008/10/26/144303.html
I can not support a candidate who was not fairly chosen by the constituents. I cannot support a party that allowed the fraudulent caucuses to continue. This is more important to me than any issue on the platforms.
October 28, 2008 at 12:56 pm
The trolls are running around here with their hair on fire cause they know they are LOSING.:-)
YESSSS!!! MCCAIN/PALIN 08
October 28, 2008 at 12:56 pm
Thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!!
October 28, 2008 at 1:00 pm
I am born and raised in southwest PA, and I have lived here most all of my life. Your insights not only give me some confort in these troubled times, but makes me question if something IS in fact going on under the surface.
I am absolutely amazed at HOW FEW campaign signs and posters there are so far this year. This is HIGHLY atypical for our region. In fact, the only signs I am seeing are Murtha signs. There are the occasional McC/P and OB/B signs if you look for them, but it is conspicuously absent from the landscape this time in my northeast suburban stompin’ grounds.
ALSO BORN AND RAISED IN SW PA AND CAN VOUCH. 90% MCCAIN SIGNS HERE. I SEE LOCAL DEMOCRAT SIGNS BUT NO OBAMA SIGN WITH IT. VEEEERY INTERESTING.
October 28, 2008 at 1:01 pm
I agree that everything in this election is upside down. Bless you dems that are willing to put your country first. I really believe so many of the undecideds will go McCain but cannot bring themselves to say so to a pollster. You can wrestle in your heart and head but once you say it out loud it is a bit scary. When I read writings of our founding fathers I am inspired. They were so courageous. You are also being courageous. There is a lot about socialism/liberalism that sounds good on the outside. Much of it is based on how it makes us feel. Who doesn’t want “justice” and “fairness.” But WHO gets to decide what is fair???? When you give these extreme liberals power they think they are the government and they will decide what is fair for you. Our government was designed to be “of the people, by the people, for the people.” Pelosi, Reid, Frank and Obama think we work for them instead of the other way around. Freedom and liberty will always come at a price. You PUMAs I’m sure are paying a price with many of your friends and family. We may not always agree on policy but more importantly we agree on principles. The leftists are getting nuttier and nuttier.
Let’s keep pressing on!!
October 28, 2008 at 1:02 pm
…WOW!!!!! Keep praying!!!
October 28, 2008 at 1:03 pm
McCain said at a PA rally today that he’s going to win the state. I have no idea if he’s blowing smoke or knows something the pollsters don’t.
October 28, 2008 at 1:03 pm
Heartening news, Hillbuzz. I thank you.
My my, the trolls seem downright desperate to bring us down today, don’t they? :D
October 28, 2008 at 1:05 pm
You have restored my faith that people can reach across party lines and make informed voting choices on Nov 4th for the good of this country vs. self-serving, phony rhetoric.
I’ve been a Republican all of my voting life and your organization gives me hope for the outcome on this election!
Keep up the great work!
October 28, 2008 at 1:06 pm
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
IT IS WELL SUSPECTED – THE TV POLLS ARE FRAUDULENTLY STACKED – JUST LIKE ACORN.
$660,000,000 BUYS A LOT, EVEN STEALS AN ELECTION, PERHAPS?
OBAMA’S RECENT (TODAY) “TAKE THE DAY OFF TO VOTE AND WORK FOR ME” COMMENT PROVES HE IS COMPLETELY “OUT OF TOUCH” WITH CURRENT ECONOMIC CONDITIONS. EVERY FINANCIAL DEMAND HE MAKES AFFECTING SMALL BUSINESS DRIVES ANOTHER “NAIL IN THEIR COFFIN”. GIVEN THAT HE OBVIOUSLY DOESN’T UNDERSTAND SMALL BUSINESS, HOW CAN HE MANAGE THE FINANCES OF OUR COUNTRY?
BY TAX & SPEND ? IF ELECTED, AMERICA’S WORKERS MAY AS WELL HAVE THEIR PAYCHECKS SET UP FOR “DIRECT DEPOSIT” INTO THE US TREASURY. IT’LL SAVE A LOT OF PAPERWORK !
SENATOR OBAMA BORDERS ON DELUSIONAL.
SENATOR MCCAIN SHOULD NAME SENATOR HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON TO HIS CABINET RIGHT NOW. HE WOULD WIN HANDS DOWN, NO QUESTION.
October 28, 2008 at 1:07 pm
I am quite confident since there are no caucuses on election day that the probability of McCain winning is high. Obama cannot bus people in to steal this election, — Ohio and Virginia are trying to do it in advance. Yes, I am certain some ACORN voter fraud will be perpetrated — there is always something. The last thing I will say on this is — everyone just vote. It is your right as an American and you should exercise it no matter what polls or people say. We see how many votes can separate someone from the presidency and I think the media has done more to cause the divide in this country than anyone else. I voted for Al Gore in 2000 and I saw what 537 votes can do to a country and I want it to end next Tuesday. Whoever wins needs to win decisively, and I believe we can do that.
Both sides can argue about Florida for the rest of our dying days — here are a few: confusing butterfly ballot gave Buchanan votes over Gore, republican heavy panhandle went home or did not go to polls because the media called Florida for Gore, military votes not counted, blah — blah — blah. That election divided this country over 537 votes and we have not yet recovered. The primaries divided the democratic party in a way that will split this country yet again if Barack Obama wins and I believe that. So go vote! I already have. ;-)
October 28, 2008 at 1:10 pm
As a Reserve officer and McCain supporter, I will honestly vote for Hillary in 2012 if McCain is able to win in 2008. To repay the debt we would owe to the Hillbuzz PUMAS. Our country must come first, I pray every night you guys are correct and getting accurate info out of Pennsylvania! Thanks for your heroic efforts.
October 28, 2008 at 1:11 pm
Hey ‘turfers: Do you really, honestly think you are affecting anyone with your blatant BS? Your pathetic efforts are totally transparent. LOL Go back to your video games kiddies.
October 28, 2008 at 1:11 pm
The ones to watch:
http://www.tipponline.com/
http://www.tarrance.com/files/2-way-ballot-trender-10-27.pdf
If trends here at Hillbuzz are correct. If Union workers and other Democrat voters are lying to the pollsters, if the Independent vote will close for McCain….Obama is going to get absolutely crushed! I mean CRUSHED! Like 53 – 45 crushed.
:)
October 28, 2008 at 1:11 pm
Count me in as a Republican and conservative duly moved and impressed by the people behind this site. You guys inspire so many people! Keep doing what you’re doing.
And, obamatrolls, for your logic, you deserve no better than a PeeWee response: “I know you are, but what am I?”
October 28, 2008 at 1:16 pm
I am a lifelong registered Republican but have crossed party lines many times for the “right and best” candidate. I visit your website almost daily for encouragement and do work to get the McCain/Palin ticket elected. BHO is a very radical socialist and MUST be defeated. I live in Nevada and it also is a “battleground” state. I attented a Dem rally for a Congressional seat and asked the candidate to comment on the letter from the Hillary attorneys to her (she is the former chair of the Dem party) regarding the caucus fraud. Needless to say, she refused to comment. That told me a lot. There has obviously been “questionable” conduct by the Obama campaign and I believe you are all correct when you say that the MSM that brutalized Hillary during the primary may very well get their “just desserts” come Nov. 4th. Hillary was treated as less than human by them and now they will get their payback.
Good luck to all of us!
October 28, 2008 at 1:16 pm
You must realize that Hillary and her husband have pubically announced their support of Obama, correct? You can’t say that McCain will work more closely with her if she has given her support to his opponent. If you believe that, you are heavily mistaken.
October 28, 2008 at 1:18 pm
I am a rock-gut conservative but I have to say that I am soooo impressed with Democrats on this site. I am inspired by you putting our Country ahead of party! You all have given me renewed faith in the electorate, even moreso than the conservative websites I visit. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your efforts. I have served in the military for 18 years of my life and I do not want BHO as my Commander-In-Chief. Quite frankly, he scares me to death. Keep it up and once again thank you for your service to our country…
October 28, 2008 at 1:19 pm
Obama supporters are basically saying:
We are stupid, blinded by the sold-out media, and we surrender all our American rights to Obamanation!
Folks, Obama is stealing the election! There are voter registrations and suppression across the country. You should read up about Obama on the internet – one place that the media has not been bought. Read up on Obama his plans for America and the world. Obama is not doing this for America!
This is your last wake-up call. Wake-up now and you’ll rediscover America, wake-up later and you’ll be in the twilight zone!
You only have once chance to save America!
Vote McCAIN !!!!
October 28, 2008 at 1:27 pm
Look up socialism in a dictionary. Obama is not a socialist. He simply wants to cut taxes for anyone making $250,000 or less and increase taxes for those making more than that amount.
Also, how ill-informed and mean-spirited to believe that either candidate for president is pro-terrorist and anti-American!
About Sarah Palin, can anyone think that she is ready to be President of the USA? (McCain has survived cancer how many times?) Have people forgotten the Katie Couric interview? I don’t care about the $150,000 wardrobe, but the VP candidate should be able to answer questions about something as basic as what newspapers and magazines does she read which help to form her worldview.
Don’t be frightened into thinking that either candidate is a thug, terrorist, socialist commie. The ad hominem attacks are a sign of panic in response to a failing campaign.
Obama has inpired a grass roots organization because he stands for uniting us. Hillary supports Obama. I do too.

my guess is that the dems voting for mc cain will cancel out all the repubs voting for obama.
we’ll see nov 4th.
October 28, 2008 at 1:36 pm
Those who say that the polls are stacked are correct. Most polls are done with random samples of landlines, as there is no remotely complete registry of mobile phones. So those with just mobile phones are missed in the polls. The population of those with just mobile phones and no landlines skews heavily toward 1) young people, and 2) poor people. Both of those demographics skew heavily toward Obama. So those who predict a landslide not reflected in the polls are likely correct.
Sorry to interrupt this stream with facts, as it seems that most rely on some combination of platitudes and unsubstantiated opinion.
October 28, 2008 at 1:40 pm
God bless you, and thank you. I have gained so much respect for Hillary during this difficult time. Like McCain, she puts Country First.
I am a die-hard Republican but I was going to vote for Hillary over McCain. She has such a good grasp of the issues and nobody worked harder. And her supporters are putting Country First, too.
Bless you.
October 28, 2008 at 1:41 pm
I supported Hillary in the primary, I voted for Kerry in ‘04, Gore in ‘00 and Clinton in ‘96 (I wasn’t old enough to vote in ‘92.
This year I will vote for McCain/Palin. Keep the great work, guys!
October 28, 2008 at 1:46 pm
I have been reading all the comments here and all I can say is the unity and sense of community is awesome. This coming together and fighting for our country is wonderful, remember this is how it all started some 200 years ago. Fighting for what we believe is best for our country. Thank you pumas for the great job your doing. God Bless American and vote McCain/Palin! And you trolls hit the road.
October 28, 2008 at 1:48 pm
Thank you all for your support of John McCain and Sarah Palin. As a voter in Iowa, I can honestly say Obama stole this state from Hillary. He has played some very dirty pool with Hillary and I for one do not like it. I admired Hillary’s tenacity during the primaries and I gained a new respect for her while she was campaigning, especially here in Iowa.
I have seem many an election but never one with as many outright lies as Obama dishes out on a daily basis.
To the writer of the above, I agree 100%. Hillary loves this country as much as John McCain does, and he will truly use her to her fullest capacity in a McCain administration. John McCain will not dis her the way Obama did. Personally, I would much rather have Hillary that much closer to the White House than the angry wife of Barack Obama.
Thanks again all of you.
October 28, 2008 at 1:53 pm
[...] Hillbuzz: Tonight we spoke with a friend from Hillary Clinton’s campaign who is now working for McCain/Palin — and is specifically working with Democrats for McCain in Pennsylvania. [...]
October 28, 2008 at 1:58 pm
It’s quite clear that most people here don’t understand a thing about polling. People calling polls “partisan” off-hand, not understanding a thing about party ID, deciding a poll that happened to come the closest in one single election is the “best” (that poll, btw, is weighting by 2004 party ID numbers), etc, etc. I could go on, but this blog is filled with freeper-types who care about nothing else that “EVIL TERRORIST B. HUSSEIN DOES NOT SELL US TO AL QAEDA!!!” Those of you who are intelligent enough, however—go spend several hours reading about polling methodologies.
October 28, 2008 at 1:59 pm
The “PUMA”’s on this site remind me of Monty Python’s Black Knight:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eMkth8FWno
I’m starting a new club: WISH’s: Willfully ignorant supporters of Hillary. Who’s in?
October 28, 2008 at 2:02 pm
My first chance to vote in a presidential election was in 1996, as a 19 year old. I was a republican who voted for Bill Clinton. I have always admired the Clintons for being moderate democrats. They were never extreme. I was a Bush supporter in 2004 & ‘08. When Hillary ran I was on the fence between her and Romney. Once I saw the gutterball tactics of the Obama campaign, I really thought Hillary would win. Little did I know the Media would be so sexist and hateful of Hillary. Now they do the same thing to Sarah Palin. Will we not learn from our mistakes? I think the only way to teach the “NEW DEMOCRAT” party is to vote for McCain.
October 28, 2008 at 2:02 pm
I was going to vote McCain until he added Palin to the ticket. She is so very much out of her league. I just can’t see her as VP material no matter how hard I try. I think it is a tough road for McCain. He listen to political hacks from Bush campaign….the ones that made his life miserable. He is now coming awake but for many of us it is too little too late and he just can’t make me believe in Palin no matter what.
October 28, 2008 at 2:05 pm
Terrible decision out of Ohio to allow homeless people to register with a park bench as their address, I kid you not.
Combine that with no requirement for ID enforced by Ohio, and what do you have?
Potential for even more fraud from the Obama campaign.
October 28, 2008 at 2:18 pm
I Live in Chester County,Pa. and I lie to the polls all the time, my husband belongs to the USW, they call here constantly, but I tell them he is voting for Obama, because the union may seek revenge, where he works 90% of the people working there do not like the union, their lucky if they have 2 people show up at a meeting, they feel they pay their dues for nothing and get nothing in return. I know many people who are registered Dem’s and are voting Rep. we just don’t say it out loud, its better to whisper during this silly season of an election, which is the first time in my 54 years I’ve had to do that. I think Obama is campaigning in Pa. because of all the rotten things him and the Dem’s have said about us, if the people of this state had any pride he would not get one vote, I will never vote for Obama, I am a Puma from pa. and proud of it.
October 28, 2008 at 2:21 pm
Election analysis from somebody who knows somebody.
But at least the somebodies are fairly credible.
In short? Obama’s lead is exagerated, but real, and it’s going to be a dogfight.
Worth reading. Only a few paras.
October 28, 2008 at 2:22 pm
Wow, I’m a Hilary supporter in New Hampshire. This is awesome. Keep up the good work.
October 28, 2008 at 2:26 pm
I have been reading through these posts, and quite frankly, it’s pathetic.
The name calling (Hussein, The Messiah, Comrade Obama) is infantile.
The denial of fact (Obama has led every poll by every polling outfit since September, but everybody seems to think that since they haven’t seen that many Obama-Biden signs in front yards, that the polls are all wrong) is pitiful.
Any one of the smattering of posts on here that don’t go along with this delusional derangement are more focused and reasoned than this tripe. See posts 180, 183, 188 or 196.
You really need to get a grip; Hillary’s platform was VERY close to Obama’s, and a world away from McCain’s. What is it that you believe in, when you would turn 180 degrees in your position, just because the messenger is the wrong color for you, or whatever the cause?
The phenomenon of people thanking each other here for reinforcing each other’s fantasies is particularly disturbing; it’s like passengers on the Titanic hugging each other for claiming there are no icebergs. Sorry folks, there ARE icebergs, and you are going DOWN!
Reality – check into it.
October 28, 2008 at 2:27 pm
Xanthippas, KLULU, Timfou, stacy c, Xanny and others like you (in fact I bet your all the same person from Nobama’s campaign office). Go suck an egg. You won’t get these “TRUE BLUE PATRIOTS” down. Go back to your holes where you belong!
October 28, 2008 at 2:28 pm
1) McCain wouldn’t brave the rain to speak at his rally today in Pennsylvania
2) An hour away, in the rain, Obama stood before a huge crowd, and gave them his heart.
It’s not Obama’s eloquence alone that wins people over. It’s his deep decency & dedication.
“Let justice roll down like water, and righteousness like a mighty stream.”
October 28, 2008 at 2:29 pm
Wow, I really hope this is true and thank you to all the Hillary supporters for turning your efforts over to McCain-Palin. Obama scares the living daylights outta me and it isn’t even Halloween yet! You go PA!!!
October 28, 2008 at 2:30 pm
Gosh, we PUMAs really appreciate the kind words from you Republicans.* Didn’t realize y’all were so glum — guess you aren’t used to obamanazi lies and propaganda like we are!
After we save the Nation from marxist tyranny this Tuesday, we look forward to collaborating with you moderate Gops in 2010 to elect a sane, centrist congress, and then we’re calling in our chits in ‘12 to get Hillary elected!
* But geez, did you have have to drag along all the hopium addicts with you?
October 28, 2008 at 2:32 pm
Timfuey=
Got news for you from here in the big state of TX. Your messiah isn’t going to win by a long shot. Polls are rigged specifically for the libs because they can’t win anything legitmately.
October 28, 2008 at 2:37 pm
Pat Smith–
Is it better to vote for a radical socialist who is determined to make America a redistributed wealth nation than someone who, than for someone who, in your opion, is out of her league? Mind you, that isn’t the opinion of many people.
Either you are a welfare reciepient (or wannabe), very ignorant, or you just like giving your money away. Maybe all of the above.
October 28, 2008 at 2:38 pm
“Either we are just delusional or there is something happening out there that we do not understand. Certainly that would explain why McCain has not given up on PA.”
I’m a statistician, and you don’t want me to start on polls and surveys because it would be way too long for a comment. However, there are some serious problems with the polls this year, unseen before in election polls. Oversampling, internals that directly contradict the reported aggregate result, publishing no internals, and most disturbing, polls that show opposite trends over time. The best tracking polls are the candidates’ internal polls, whose only job is to get the clearest, most accurate picture of the electorate to the candidates. McCain is looking at his polls, and I might add, so is Obama, who is still spending massive amounts of money here in Pennsylvania. If his polls showed him as far ahead as the published polls, he would be spending that money elsewhere — and, as has already been noted, McCain wouldn’t be campaigning the hell out of the Keystone State.

Go away you trolls! You Obamanauts. We like to form our opinions in the unforgiving crucible of a forum that includes only those as deluded as we are.
–The WISH’s
October 28, 2008 at 2:43 pm
Dear Lord – I never thought I would say this…but I wish I had voted for Hillary in the Democratic primary.
There, I said it…
I am as far right as they come, to the point I am almost left again (legalize it!)
I pray that the Hillary supporters really do see what this guy is going to bring to office. Biden is a wash out who may be far enough center to counteract it – but his bread is now buttered unfortunately and he will not be able to stop what he has started.
I promise that I will even stop telling Clinton jokes (I’m crossing my fingers)…ok maybe not. But I will certainly open up my mind much further than ever before if Hillary supporters actually do this country a service and vote McCain.
I understand McCain is dead wrong on a lot of things – but they are marginal differences compared with what Obama will do with a supermajority.
I think I am going to go get a Hillary sticker and put it on my car right under my McCain sticker because I feel like the forces of semi-good from both sides are actually going to come together and avert disaster.
I am in Cincinnati OH and we are the other state that MUST WIN!
Go America!
October 28, 2008 at 2:45 pm
This election should have been Hillary VS McCain, and we would not have to be afraid for our country then. However Obama stole the caucuses from Hillary, and now we face his stealing the election with his Acorn voter fraud and the MSM’s attempt to tell McCain supporters to forget it, Obama has already won. I just want to thank the Puma’s for working so hard for our country. PA was close enough in 2004 that I believe with enough of those Kerry voters ( our wonderful Puma’s) moving to McCain, PA will go red.
October 28, 2008 at 2:48 pm
McCain is our hero. Our famliy always support him and will vote for him in Nov.4 2008.
America born Chinese family.
October 28, 2008 at 2:48 pm
Wow, I guess the Obamatrons are seriously worried. What else could explain the sudden influx of pro-Obama trolls in the comments, pretending to be “former Republicans” & “pro-Hilary supporters”? Even here in LA the number of Obama signs & bumper stickers is far, far fewer then the number of Kerry signs that were on display in 2004. The Leftist hate sites like Daily Kos and their smarmy friends in the media are so narrow-minded that they actually believe their own propaganda. I think many people now realize that having a President whose friends include unrepentant terrorists, Marxists, racists and
anti-Americans is going to be awful for this great country. If it wasn’t for the thug tactics of the Obamatrons this election would be between Clinton & McCain. Obama stole one election , let’s not let him steal another !
October 28, 2008 at 2:50 pm
This has become my favorite site. I believe there is hope to bridge the gap between democrats, republicans, independents, green party and everyone else in the mix. I have voted for members in each of these party’s. For those who are supporting obama because of his “I’ll give 95% of you a tax break” you might want to check out American Thinker and read what you will be paying in taxes after obama lets Bush’s tax cut plan elapse. That’s how he gets by with lying to the voters on his tax plan. Also, to the people between the ages of 18 and 42 who are voting for Obama, continue following him blindly down the yellow brick road. Behind the curtain you will find your wizard signing you up for the draft, no doubt, sending you off to Kenya, Pakistan, Iran, Syria and other countries of his interest to do his dirty work. You might want to really listen to obama’s speeches and especially the other one, “hoof and mouth moron” Biden. Listen very carefully. Read between the lines. What they don’t say, speaks volumes. Oh, I also gladly cast my vote for McCain/Palin. I too believe the polls are skewed.
October 28, 2008 at 2:55 pm
Thanks, Chris Haller,
appropriate words for what is happening here. And I am sure Hillary Clinton is appalled about supporters turning to a candidate who in so many aspects is fighting for the opposite of what she stands for.
October 28, 2008 at 2:59 pm
“Also, how ill-informed and mean-spirited to believe that either candidate for president is pro-terrorist and anti-American!”
Wake up, Sally. It’s not mean-spirited to tell the truth. Obama has spent his entire political life befriending people who HATE AMERICA. Look at his pastor for 20 years, the Rev Wright screaming “God Damn America!” Look at his close friend Bill Ayers who planted bombs on American soil and wants America to be a Communist State. Look at all the Marxists and anti-Americans who he says he admired when he was younger. Obama couldn’t even get security clearence to join the FBI because his background is so suspect, and yet this hater could be President !!!
October 28, 2008 at 3:00 pm
I am a lifelong Democrat, who never thought I would say this but here it comes: I am voting Republican on November 4th. My extended family as well will also vote for McCain. We all voted for Kerry in the last election.
Obama scares the living daylight out of me.
October 28, 2008 at 3:03 pm
Michael and Chris,
Polls are rigged. If they weren’t Democrats would have won every election since the 50’s. Also, I would bet a month’s pay that Hillary couldn’t be happier that the PUMA’s are crossing lines. Obama rigged the primaries and that fact has come out also. When he loses, she will be able to run in 2012.
October 28, 2008 at 3:03 pm
And, the point, Chris (Holler) Haller?
Are you (and Michael — I speak for Hillary now) only here for some dung slinging fun?
Or, just making the point about the Obama campaign and it’s disciples that we make every day.
You make the case. Quite convincing.
Keep it up. You’re an excellent spokesperson for your supreme leader.
Or do you just get kicks out of going to sites and acting like a horse’s ass?
October 28, 2008 at 3:04 pm
“And I am sure Hillary Clinton is appalled about supporters turning to a candidate who in so many aspects is fighting for the opposite of what she stands for.”
No, I think Hilary is secretly pleased that these supporters are putting their country first by voting McCain/Palin. If Obama wins,
the America that Hilary loves will be destroyed. If Obama wins, his Chicago Thug Machine will remove all pro-Hilary supporters from the Democratic Party.
October 28, 2008 at 3:04 pm
Hey, this is my new favorite site, too! I love absurdist satire.
Wait, what? You people are serious? Oh.
You folks are nuts. Why don’t you LISTEN TO HILLARY, and vote for the future of our country.
Sarah Palin is about .025% of Hillary Clinton, and all of you know it. So you’re excited about putting her one 72 year-old’s heartbeat away from the presidency?! Really?!?
Vote smart. Vote Obama. Yes we can, and we’re about to!
October 28, 2008 at 3:09 pm
Imagine if McCain had associations with people like David Duke or Tim McViegh, etc. I am a Conservative, but I could NEVER support someone on the extreme right, simply to be loyal to a Republican I could not overlook such associations. Surely reasonable Democrats will not the extreme left to define the party.
I am confident McCain will win this election, as it is not possible America can fall victim to such a charleton as Obama. Though confident, I have great fear for this country if people behind Obama gain control of this great land.
As I look for signs from Obama that this fear is unfounded, I become more concerned.
America will do the right thing to avoid this diaster due in part to your efforts.
God bless you people.

What you are saying is true about Penn. I remember blogging my little butt away during the primaries for our team that went to Penn. for Hillary. I remember the news media saying that Hillary had dropped out when in fact she hadn’t done no such thing. I immmediately send them an e-mail stating that they should retrack that statement because they were surpressing votes that way. They immediately did. I am certain that McCain/Palin will win Penn. I urge all of you who can to please donate to Hillbuzz. They know what they are doing and on behalf of all of us who want a victory for McCain. Thank you Hillbuzz for covering the ground for all of us who cannot do so.

Since there are so many republicans on this thread, I must say this. We saw through media manipulation in 2000 and warned you against Bush but you had to elect him twice. Now you are complementing us for seeing the light about Obama? All of us who do see Obama for the danger he is and all the media corruption propping him up, are giving you the republicans a wonderful gift. So hope you drag yourselves and everybody you know to the polls to vote for McCain and help us in defeating Obama.

Idejongh-
Decent and dedicated? You need to do your homework a little better. Obama’s associations, policies regarding redistribution of wealth, his outright lies about abortion, and taxes kindly makes those two words, when spoken in a sentence about him, oxymorons.
Obama’s desire to help the middle class and grow the economy are nothing more than lip service. He is a master at finding just the thing that a person wants to hear. We all know what Obama’s reality is and the public has made it very clear that they don’t like it. Redistribution of wealth is overwhelmingly disliked by Americans.
Just remember, if you rob Peter to pay Paul, you will always get Paul’s vote. Mark Twain

“Hey, this is my new favorite site, too! I love absurdist satire.”
Yep, I guess that’s why you’re an Obama supporter….couldn’t get more absurd then that.
October 28, 2008 at 3:18 pm
By crossing party lines and putting country first, you fine Democrats here will be responsible for saving our nation. However else our positions may differ, in this we are united. My gratitude is heartfelt and I’ll never forget it.
October 28, 2008 at 3:19 pm
“No, I think Hilary is secretly pleased that these supporters are putting their country first by voting McCain/Palin. If Obama wins,
the America that Hilary loves will be destroyed. If Obama wins, his Chicago Thug Machine will remove all pro-Hilary supporters from the Democratic Party.”
Having a personal vendettta is the opposite of putting country first. I am as sure of Obama’s win as of the fact that Hillary Clinton will be an important factor in his team after the elections.

I am bookmarking this page and can’t wait to return next Wednesday morning. It might be the highlight of my day, even better than seeing the apoplexy at The Corner when McCain gets crushed. There have been quite literally dozens of public, non-partisan polls, including Republican firms, showing McCain getting his ass kicked in Pennsylvania. Not one single poll in the last six months has shown McCain ahead. Not one. Obama will not only win Pittsburgh, he’s going to obliterate Kerry’s numbers in Philadelphia. Enthusiasm here is off the hook, and there’s not a single McCain sign within a mile of my neighborhood. The best-case scenario is for McCain to lose by 6 or 7 points. But good luck wasting your time! That will help Obama win Virginia, Nevada, and Colorado, which gives him the presidency even if your lame-anecdote-fueled delusions about PA come true.
So here’s a challenge. I defy a single one of you to email me at david.faris@gmail.com and put your money where your mouth is about PA.
October 28, 2008 at 3:23 pm
If the American people are fooled into voting Obama, let us begin to construct our eulogy.

“Hey, this is my new favorite site, too! I love absurdist satire.”
So predictible these obama shills are. You won’t change any minds by leading with an insult, now will you?
Just can’t help yourself, can you? Small and petty and spiteful is what you are. A poster-child for the Obamatons. People like you are the reason I’m a Republican.
October 28, 2008 at 3:27 pm
@DeppDogg
you are speaking for Hillary? did she appoint you as her spokesperson?…what a hubris..
and what is mud-slinging about Chris’ and my comments? The fact that they are different from yours? So this forum is only for people who want to reinforce their beliefs that Hillary would vote for McCain? This just adds to my belief that Hillary looks with disdain at such a narrow-minded site. She has too much class and knowledge.
October 28, 2008 at 3:28 pm
If Hillary wants to be president, she is rooting for McCain. If BHO gets in and succeeds, he is re-elected in 2012. If BHO gets in and fails, 2012 will belong to the republicans. End of story.
October 28, 2008 at 3:29 pm
About a week ago, my husband received a telephone call from a pollster. They asked him if he was a registered voter – yes. They asked him what his race was – white. They hung up on him. Tell me – what does THAT say about what the pollsters are doing? I told him he should have said, “But my wife is Hispanic!” and seen if they bothered to talk to him then… because he was hung up on for telling them the truth, and they obviously did not want to hear AT ALL from a white male.
October 28, 2008 at 3:38 pm
Pennsylvania hasn’t voted for a Republican in a Presidential election since George Bush the elder in ‘88. It ain’t picking this year, after 8 years of Republican nightmares, to suddenly switch sides. Good luck with your inside Hillary info panning out!
October 28, 2008 at 3:44 pm
We will vote smart….. McCain/Palin….Yes we can… Yes we are. We already have. We will be evermore bless and once again America will be GREAT..We will have a great true American with An American agenda….in the White House.. Really?!?!!!!!!

“This just adds to my belief that Hillary looks with disdain at such a narrow-minded site. She has too much class and knowledge.”
I guess in kool-aid logic, crossing party lines in support of higher ideals is “narrow minded”. Not at all like obama, who voted along party lines 100% of his short, short career. Or do you just consider anyone who disagrees with you to be narrow minded? Talk about projection…You are a human oxymoron.

Try to find a real issue kids, and run with THAT.
Enjoy your last week of fear/hate mongering…next Tuesday the scoreboard will shut all your mouths…
Hopefully.

Frank Capra. I keep thinking Frank Capra would love this.
I’m in the very blue state of Maryland. This is the first election I’ve ever seen where there are NO signs dotting the main route South. There are no pumper stickers. There is very serious fear of inviting vandalism if you put a McCain sticker out. And there are no Obama signs. None. Usually each party stakes out their territory with multiple signs, for offices from county clerk to President. There are two McCain signs and one–ONE Steny Hoyer sign and no Obama sign anywhere near him. It’s very strange.
I remember the push back against McGovern but there wasn’t fear. I’ve never seen or experienced anything like this.
And the fear of Obama is palpable.
October 28, 2008 at 4:09 pm
Does Hilary know you are writing this stuff?
Just curious.
October 28, 2008 at 4:14 pm
ROFLMAO!
Ya’ll er funny.
October 28, 2008 at 4:16 pm
So far, from what I have read, Chris Haller, Michael Schmidt, and Jeff Robb are the only people that are making any sense!
Is this some kind of fantasy blog where people pretend that Hillary is behind McCain/Palin, and has not been endorsing Obama since June?
As far as poll numbers vs Lawn signs vs rally turnout….. I saw I pretty gigantic turnout at the Obama rally in Pittsburgh last night, the Mellon Arena was full. We were in the nose bleed sections and could see the whole arena.
And addressing the issue that there are no Obama signs in Western P.A.?
People are stealing them off of lawns. When we went to our local campaign headquarters, it was nicely suggested to us that we bring them in at night, as people kept coming back, saying their support signs were stolen. I am posting a video of a person doing just that on my own site after I write about the rally.
I just do not understand what everyone is so afraid of.
Did you ever think that it would be great to have Hillary as Senate Majority Whip? With Obama as President, Biden as V.P, and Hillary as the Majority Whip, we could really have our country back.
Well, best of luck to all of us – off to work I go.

Reading thru the comments on several of the articles I have noticed a very large amount of trolls stopping by and posting incendiary comments. This convinces me that the Obamanuts are scared. They know they are losing and they are trying to discourage all the supporters here with their taunts. I say to all you Obamanuts:
phhhhhhht!@!!
October 28, 2008 at 4:38 pm
Another Democrat for McCain here.
I have never ever voted for a Republican before, never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would be where I am today.
I look forward to election day when we, the PUMA’s, propel McCain/Palin to victory!!!
October 28, 2008 at 4:41 pm
This post is bizarre. You don’t state any actual facts, discredit reputable surveys- all seemingly through the word of mouth of people you “know” in Pennsylvania. You feed conspiracy theories, like somehow union members will lose their jobs if they say they are voting for the wrong people.
How on Earth is Hillary less of a socialist than Obama? Do you remember her healthcare plan under her husband’s administration? Also, how do expect to accomplish any of the things that were part of Hillary’s platform under McCain? He will appoint anti-choice judges, cut spending for anything but the millitary, and tax your healthcare benefits. How is this good for the America the Clintons stand for?
October 28, 2008 at 4:42 pm
Wow, seems like the Obama Astroturfers are out in force….These robo-clowns must be nervous
Ask yourself this: If Obama is so certain to win PA as the Astroturfers claim, why is the Obama/Biden team still making campaign stops in PA?? Why is Ed Rendell “nervous”?? I tell you why: Hillary won some counties 90+% in PA, and the vast majority of these DEMOCRATS are voting McCain/Palin in November. McCain will WAY outperform Bush in Central and Western PA, and Bush lost the state with just 2.5% back in 2004.
It doesn’t matter if ACORN pumps out fraudalant votes in Philly, the rest of state will more than make up for it.
An another thing: If PA is close on election day (when polls show McCain down 15%) what do you think will happen in VA and elsewhere where McCain is down much less in the polls?
October 28, 2008 at 4:45 pm
Tinarfh — the day (my home state of) Massachusetts has even a CHANCE of going red will be the day that Sarah Palin can point out Afghanistan on a map.
Not gonna happen, you delusional hatemongers :)
October 28, 2008 at 4:45 pm
Oh my…. it must be Troll Day! And why are they here today?? I thought they were going to win in a landslide. Why all these posts?? Desperation, maybe??
October 28, 2008 at 5:02 pm
This would be a great anniversary present. I’m so tired of having my home state and the hard-working children and grandchildren of immigrants in Western PA diminished.
October 28, 2008 at 5:06 pm
I just don’t see it. McCain is not going to make a dent.
October 28, 2008 at 5:19 pm
One can literally smell the troll fear. Great work, PUMAS!
October 28, 2008 at 5:32 pm
“Tinarfh — the day (my home state of) Massachusetts has even a CHANCE of going red will be the day that Sarah Palin can point out Afghanistan on a map.

At least Palin knows how many states there are.
Keep it up. You are really showing your true selves. Coud anyone’s worst nightmare be worse than having you little proto-Nazis holding a monoply on power? All of the spite and vitriol that you can’t contain becomes visible to more and more people as time goes by. The leigons of useful idiots and obama shills have tried to paint an image that your every statement belies. If you have your way, you will be the people on the other end of the telescreen, encouraging children to denounce their parents. Outer party enablers of evil, toadies of your totalitarian master. There’s a brown shirt with your name on it and a nice hip armband to go with it. You’ll get the trains running on time, or else!
The American People won’t stand for it.
Try not to riot too much when your artificially inflated messiah crashes and burns this election. Know that when he does, you will have been the ones that made it happen.
October 28, 2008 at 5:39 pm
I have not seen a single poll that has said McCain is ahead in more than 6 months. I think you guys are being a bit too optimistic. Obama will carry PA by 5% at the very least and will win the election by at least 100 electoral votes. We’ll see how he does as president. My opinion is that we’re screwed either way.
October 28, 2008 at 5:55 pm
I havew to say that I am impressed with the dislike for BO. I fear that he will win and god knows what will happen then. I thank you Hill supporters, but the fight gose on! Lock and Load
October 28, 2008 at 6:10 pm
I think these Obama Kool-aid drinking robots are terrified that McCain is going to win. It’s called karma. B.O. screwed Hillary and now the Hillary supporters are going to screw him. Ha Ha
October 28, 2008 at 6:11 pm
I agree that McClain has a good chance to win Pennsylvania.
If you want to understand McCain’s strategy in Pa, look at the primary results: Obama v. Hillary. Hillary won all of the counties in the state except those around Pgh, Philly, and Penn State. McCain can be successful, like Hillary in all of our small towns and rural areas (most of PA). I think he even can win more votes around Pgh. than George W. won in 2004. The reason that I say that is the “Kerry Factor.” George Bush beat Kerry in spite of his wife’s, Theresa Heinz, name. The Heinz family is Pittsburgh Personified.
Even more is the “Mellon-Scaife” factor. Richard Scaife owns the conservative newspaper “The Herald Tribune.” It is said that the family had a lot to do with the Republican tirades on Clinton when he was in office.
When Sarah Palin came to Pgh. and sat down at a round table with $25,000 and $10,000 donors, I’m sure that it was some of Pgh. wealthy philantropists that participated.
As the article mentions, it is also my opinion that since Obama is “the socially acceptable” candidate, some McCain voters are “in the closet.” I’m a Democrat, voting for McCain. I felt sheepish putting a sign in my suburban yard that says, “Another Democrat for McCain.” Friends and family have bullied me, “Please don’t vote for McCain.”
I think that Hillary Democrats may not want to speak up for fear of incurring the wrath of fellow Democrats who view a vote for McCain as less liberal, less intellectual (or less pseudo-intellectual).
I think McCain has a good chance in PA. Like Hillary and Bill, he and Sarah Palin are hitting the small towns and rural areas — the ones that so overwhelmingly voted for Hillary.
The polls are not showing it because I think in terms of statistical analysis, they are not “statistically reliable.” Some polls use a sampling group of 1000 and some use samples of 7,000 (Gallop). The larger the sampling population, the greater chance for statistical validity and reliability. Also, no poll results should be mentioned without stating the margin of error. This was done in the primaries, but I rarely hear it with this national election.
That’s my observation.

Those are truly inspiring words and I pray to God they are true.
I’m a died-in-the-wool Conservative and I think it’s very encouraging that there are Democrat’s that want to work with Republican’s (even if for their own self-interests).
This partisanship in the House and Senate needs to end, if we’re to survive at all.
An O’Bama presidency would be devastating for this country and what it’s about. It will take decades (if ever) to recover from an O’Bama presidency.
Let’s work together to make America a better place.
October 28, 2008 at 6:26 pm
For all those fools blathering about McCain being “country first,” selecting Sarah Palin, when she is in no position to lead this nation as patently shown by her, in order to fire up the base of his party and attempt to woo over former Hillary supporters in order to divide the democrats and win the election is not putting country first. McCain is a sleazy politician who has compromised everything he stood for; from his opposition to Bill Clinton’s conflict in Somalia, to his opposition for the Bush tax cuts because it gave too much wealth to the wealthy, to everything else. I’m sick of him, and the majority of American people are sick of him, and sick of his twin, George W Bush. Voting with Bush 92% of the time isn’t the change we need.
He has sought to win the election by inciting fear and mistrust of Senator Obama, Obama has sought to win the election by uniting everyone under a common purpose. If you were only more critical of what each of them were saying rather than merely dismissing everything Obama says and being spoon-fed BS by McCain, than maybe things would be different.
By the way, the polls are more accurate than your claims. You don’t take into consideration how much democratic Philly sways the PA vote, or the fact that you are largely hanging out with like-minded people.
October 28, 2008 at 6:33 pm
Wow… the reasons you cited for supporting McCain is that, Him and Hillary love their country more than Obama; and Hillary has a picture of him in her officer and vise versa… you have got to be kidding me.
All you people can say is that Obama is a socialist? Why, because Sam the Plumber says so? Currently, all of you hard working folks out there in PA are sending your tax dollars to the Oil companies, and corps that shift jobs oversees… and you base your disagreement on the hope that the tax dollars the rest of us pay gets shifted to you one day.
You whiners lost the primary and you will lose the election… base your judgments on issues and who is the best candidate, not on who has a picture on someone’s wall, and who “loves” their country more… every politician is greedy for power and will do what they can to keep it…hence McCain and Hillary… sorry, your time is over.
OBAMA ‘08!!!!!!!!!!!!
October 28, 2008 at 6:34 pm
The Pew poll IS NOT AN EXIT POLL — it’s just a regular poll, except they also ask people if they’ve already voted. So what’s to stop Obots from saying yes?
Also, did you ever wonder if the Obots are signing up to the poll sites (like Zogby) with multiple sets of info, like say two dorm phones, a couple of cell phones and a work phone per person? Why wouldn’t they?
Reread the way the Pew thing is explained — it’s not what you think. There’s no reason why people wouldn’t lie.
October 28, 2008 at 6:36 pm
I’m less sure about Pennsylvania than many other swing states but it is highly likely that Obama will carry it. But he’s going to flip so many others that he doesn’t actually need Pennsylvania anyway.
If you don’t believe all the polls, just look at Obama’s jaw dropping 19 point lead in early voting. Minorities, youth and previously non-voters have been under represented in the polls and Obama’s win is going to be bigger than what the polls have been indicating.
October 28, 2008 at 7:02 pm
Keith, your 19-pt lead is a bunch of hooey. It’s already been debunked.
But keep thinking that…

I wish you all luck, and may the best person win this election. As a 2000 McCain supporter, I’m now for Barack Obama. I believe he has the vision, wisdom, composure, leadership qualities and the brains to take this country where it needs to go.
October 28, 2008 at 7:46 pm
I’m an Indy who has been watching things go back and forth for awhile now. I cannot say that I “love” either candidate but I have to vote for the possibility of a better future and I see that more with Obama/Biden than with McCain/Palin.
McCain is an amazing man who has bucked many of the policies of his party for years – that’s why they turned against him so vehemently in his early bid for election – but this is no longer just about “America”. We are part of the world and need someone who can truly cross all lines, not just party lines. America is the greatest country in the world BECAUSE of our diversity, not in spite of it.
I am a white, middle-aged Christian man who sees much of myself in John McCain. This is a good thing but even I have to admit that times are changing and America needs to move forward. Many of the beliefs of our founding fathers need to be re-examined and applied in a different way to our country. Remember why many of our ancestors came here: to find a country where they could live free in all aspects of their lives. Well, i’m proud to say that America is that: a place where people of all colors and races can be free and express themselves without persecution. Even ideas from the far right and far left have their place in our society. Associating with those who disagree with some of America’s policies should not be looked at in a fearful way. It’s a way to see yourself in a different light and we should accept, analyze and think about it. Why would a Black preacher speak out against America? Is it because he hates this country or could it be because even in this day and age, he feels the persecution of racism against him? It’s important to listen to his words and try and understand why he feels the way he does.
Obama may not have the experience that McCain or Plain have but I believe he has what we need: a new outlook on who we are, how strong and together we can be and how to move us forward in a way that the world will admire and follow: not just with strength, but with compassion and openess.
Do many of you who speak ill of Obama really believe that he will “destroy this country” as I’ve seen people write? Or is it because his is not the same face we see in old photographs and drawings of the founding fathers?
I don’t know how good he’ll be (could be that 4 years from now I’m writing and telling people how disappointed I am in him and pushing to get HC in the White House) but I have heard him speak in person and believe that he loves this country. He understands that we are not perfect (is that being “anti-American”?) and truly wants to be a part of fixing it. Admitting and seeing your faults as well as your strengths is the only way to make yourself better and I feel that Barak Obama does that.
That is why I’m voting for him and not against John McCain.

Keep up the good work.

what i want is to see the msm faces after mccain wins, i hate them because of the total bias in their coverage of mccain and i believe that obama is the darling of the liberal media, after the election an investigation should be done on how our media are now picking presidents for us , it is a total disgrace and i hope obama loses big!!

This is the number 1 dummy post I have ever seen. Hillary supports Obama. Republicans are using you and they will throw you in the garbage when they are done with you. Putting your country first means change the mess we have been in 8 years caused by McBush and Mcsame.

I am in total agreement. Democrats, Republicans, and Independents must take our government back from the career politicians. The two party system is destroying the country. Conservatives pull Republicans too far right. Liberals pull Democrats too far left. None of the established parties represent middle America. Middle America make compromises without abandoning principles. The political parties can’t see the forest for the trees. Maybe pulling together for a McCain win will allow Hillary to become the Senate Majority Leader. Not much of a consolation for Hillary but right now it might be best for the country.
October 28, 2008 at 8:23 pm
GOD BLESS the Hillary supporters who are voting for McCain! I personally know a BUNCH of die-hard Dems who are voting Republican for the first time this year. I think a good number of Obama supporters are going to have to pick their jaws up off the floor come Tuesday night. Obama’s FAR left views do not appeal to mainstream America. It has *nothing* to do with race – I would have voted for Colin Powell in the past. It does have EVERYTHING to do with the whole “redistribution of wealth” socialist concept of Obama’s, the poor judgment in who he associates with (birds of a feather flock together), his complete lack of experience, and many other issues. I am continually amazed that Obama supporters are completely obtuse to his glaring shortfalls. America needs a proven leader who can reach across party lines and get things done.
THANK YOU so much for all you are doing! God bless your efforts!

A note on the Pew Poll. This poll heavily over samples Democrats. The poll has 39% Democrats, 37% Independents, and 24% Republican. If this Pew Poll sampled Democrats +8 this poll would then be similar to the other polls. Obviously this is an outlier poll.

Lizard, you had me right up to where we put McCain/Palin in the White House. How do you get to putting part of the problem in the White House? I invite you here to learn and re access your ideals.

I am a conservative and I want to thank all of you Hillary supporters for all you have done to help our country. It is truly inspiring to see that you are putting country first and stopping B. Hussein the marxist from taking over. Words cannont express how thankful I am….God Bless All of You.

I honestly wouldn’t be so anti-Democrat if Hillary won the nomination. We know her policies, we know her voting trends (not simply “present” like Obama), we know what she will do if pushed. Is she the candidate I would want? Not really, I personally believe the Democrats had a bad lot this time around, but she is definitely the best of them.
If it was Hillary vs McCain, while I do prefer the Maverick, I wouldn’t care as much as I do now. The more and more we hear about Obama, the more and more I wish it was Hillary Clinton who won the nomination.
Urgh, just frustrated with what I see now…

Dear all:
The “Obamanauts,” the “Obamatons,” and the 1.4 million of us from “Filthadelphia” are not afraid of losing PA. Do you have any other names for us? And we’re supposed to be the nasty name-calling trolls? For serious, I just want to make some money off of you. It’s not fear that you smell but opportunity. No name-calling Please, please email me your wager at david.faris@gmail.com. I’m not a wealthy man but I’ll take any reasonable straight up wagers on PA.
No takers? Hmmm, maybe all of these anecdotes about Democrats for McCain are just that? Maybe the polls that show the vast majority of Hillary voters throwing their support to Obama are right after all?
It would be in your best interests to accept the loss that’s coming for you. Seriously, it hurts way worse when you talk yourself into believing against all available evidence.
October 28, 2008 at 9:06 pm
Let’s get McCain/Palin in there and get some house cleaning done! I am tired of both parties looking out for the special interest and not the people’s interest.
This is happening in both parties and there is no way that Obama will clean house. As a matter of fact, we know so little of him that we really do not know who he will bring in.
By the way, in the 80’s we had a Repub pres. and a Dem congress – in the 90’s we had a Dem pres. and a Repub congress. Both decades were prosperous. Let’s get back to prosperity with a Dem congress and a Repub pres.

man you guys are so full of it.
October 28, 2008 at 9:15 pm
As a Pennsylvanian, I hope you are correct. As a Republican, I am happy both sides are coming together for McCain. This is a great post, keep up the good work!
October 28, 2008 at 9:16 pm
I don’t see how anyone who supported John Edwards or Hillary Clinton would vote for John McCain and his choice for VP, Sarah Palin. It goes so against what they ’supposedly’ are about.
October 28, 2008 at 9:17 pm
I respect your good intentions and commitment to democracy, all of you Hillary fans and McCain supporters. I am one of you. But I really think you have talked yourselves into a load of propagandist fear about Obama. Not the worst I’ve read (like he is really into terrorism, or racism, or marxism, give me a break!) Come on. He is another good man, another good American. Clinton knows it, McCain knows it, and we know it. Hate will not make the world a better place. Assume good intentions. First and last. BTW, you will be happier along the way.
October 28, 2008 at 9:18 pm
Are these people actually for real? I find it hard to believe this is a serious “movement”…..only in America.
I fear you could still get your McCain/Palin administration – and further run your poor country into the dust….what a shame.
October 28, 2008 at 9:20 pm
Oh how I hope and pray you are right about the hidden support for McCain and our country.
I am a conservative who also would rather have Hillary then the O. Not even a contest!
My question is WHY is she campaigning for him!
If she’s a REAL leader, she should come out right before his paid 30 minute commercial, say, and announce: for the good of the country she must endorse John and Sarah and let the chips fly and fall where they will!
Now THAT’S someone who I could admire and wish well forevermore!
In fact, she’s got nothing to lose because if O wins, he’s gonna take her out of the picture. Count on it!
God Bless America!

“Come on. He is another good man, another good American. Clinton knows it, McCain knows it, and we know it. Hate will not make the world a better place.”
If hate won’t make the world a better place then why has Obama spent his life surrounded by haters ? Just look at the hatred for America that pours out of Ayers and Rev. Wright – Obama’s good friends. Look at the hate that pours from the student Obama brats that troll here and infest Daily Kos. You can tell a man by the company he keeps and Obama’s company are Marxists, anti-Semites, terrorists, racists and bitter, twisted leftist thugs. The basic decency of the Hilary & McCain supporters that are coming together on this site is evidence that America has woken up to the radical threat that is Obama .

I have never, in my life, read a more unhinged steamin’ heap of horseshit. You are in serious, serious denial, and need processional help.
October 28, 2008 at 9:58 pm
You guys have got to be kidding me. McCain is going to get buried on election day and is not going to win in Pennsylvania. I have seen nothing to convince me McCain is anywhere near to being close in the Keystone State. Should McCain win in Pennsylvania and indeed the whole election, it will be the most stunning upset in Presidential electoral history including Truman’s 1948 come from behind victory over Thomas Dewey. I hope I’m wrong and will gladly admit being wrong to the whole world if McCain wins. However,I don’t think its in the cards and quite frankly the American people, who have drank from BO’s kool-aid cup, will get exactly what they deserve for their laziness in refusing to demand BO come clean with them about his friends and associations within the Chicago commune. 2008 will not only be the year the American media died, but it will be the year many of us who have tried to warn people about BO and his radical beliefs will look back on and say that the American people sold their souls to the devil in a faustian bargain that promised them change but brought all of us hell on earth. God Save the United States of America.
October 28, 2008 at 10:07 pm
I just learned of this site. I had thought that all this blow out BS in the MSM was about keeping the Republican vote suppressed but now think it is as much about keeping the Hillary Democrats suppressed.
The Obama campaign tactics send a shiver down my neck. The intimidation of legal action and suppression of free speech from government Obama supporters will not portend well if he is elected.
I have never liked the way Obama was selected in the Democrat primary and definitely do not like the way the elite media’s selective reporting is selecting him in the general.
October 28, 2008 at 10:11 pm
She is campaign for him the same reason her husband changed his speech during the DNC after trashing Obama’s inexperience, political pressure. Her future in the Democratic Party depends on coming into lock step with the rest of them behind Obama. Don’t be fooled, her and Bill Clinton want Obama to fall flat. She trashed him during the Democratic primaries, her supporters went to McCain in droves, no one is fooled by this “change of heart”…
culturalcapitol? What the hell is that video for? I don’t need to see “The Obama Youth” backing this man in droves. Geez, the more and more I see this, the more and more I think Charles Manson and his female followers… Helter Skelter indeed… These naive girls are following a charismatic leader… WHAT A SHOCK… The weak minded, artistic and free spirited twits, following Obama, not a shocker…
October 28, 2008 at 10:17 pm
Henry: You certainly are naive and uninformed! There’s plenty to read on this subject, so why don’t you just get busy?
And, for you,David: Personally, I have never been interested in gambling so I won’t be “giving” you any money one way or the other. How silly of you to put something like this in a comment!
Now the Obama supporters even ask that we PONY UP for THEM! What next? Certainly there are no limits to what those that support Obama will do. Well, it stands to reason. After all, it all trickles down from the “TOP”!
Gimme, Gimme, Gimme! More, more MORE! Sounds an awful lot like Mr. Obama, if you ask me!
Moreover, no one can “guess” how many of you Obama followers fell for his B.S. and blindly believed what he had to say despite lacking evidence of any kind. That, in itself, is insane.
Obama’s “history” would be the normal place one would go to verify Obama’s – or any other politician’s – promises. But, that won’t work for you Obama supporters since Obama’s “history” is more criminal than not.
No, I don’t want to “guess” at how many of you believed all his lies (still emerging lies, by the way) and chose to support him based on those lies. That would be an unproductive effort and waste of time for me.
Besides, isn’t that something YOU should be doing? He’s YOUR guy (sad speciman that he is) and someone YOU support. Shouldn’t you PONY UP to defend YOUR GUY on the MERITS? No, no, NO! I don’t ask that you use the childish attacks (now so commonplace in the Obama campaign) in a false defense of YOUR GUY; what I do want to see is YOU and others like YOU defending YOUR GUY based on the “merits” of HIS POSITIONS (that you probably don’t know and will never learn!)
See, as a person of principle, I would never support anyone that had a background even slightly similar to Obama’s background.
Additionally, I don’t like liars, cheats & thieves. Apparently you Obama supporters do like these kinds of people and don’t mind the idea of a person like Obama representing the interests of American citizens. Strange that anyone would think along these lines following 8 years of George W. Bush.
What I really want to know from you Obama supporters is WHY – if Obama is so great, wonderful & good – did he feel the need to engage in extensive cheating? There would be no need for the continued lies and the extensive voter fraud if Obama was truly an honorable, good person – now would there? Wouldn’t Obama’s goodness be naturally apparent if Obama truly possessed such a quality?
Huh?
Get real about Obama for a “change.” Oh, please do!

If DUBYA could run again, I’d vote for Hillary long before risking another four years of the messes he created and the messes he tolerated. Politically, Hillary is miles closer to McCain than she is to BOB, so the original post should suprise nobody. The election outcome, McCain Palin, should suprise no one as well. The two big suprises will be how fast McCain marches to the left to thank the Dems for his victory and how fast McCain abandons the republican base. The McCain presidency will not restore America to what she was before Bush, it only saves us for a few years from what the BOB presidency would thrust us into. Thank God for a few more years of capitalism.

I hear the same is true in Massachusetts. Spoke with my sister over the weekend. Moderate Hillary Dem, local city council exp. It might be close but shes indicating theres alot of very disapointed dems in the commonwealth of Massachusetts right now!

I’m in the Philadelphia suburb of Bucks County. For every Obama sign I see, there are 10 McCain signs. Most of the lifelong Democrats I’ve spoken to are voting Republican for the firts time. There is no doubt in my mind McCain will win PA.
October 28, 2008 at 10:47 pm
Go PUMAs and Hillary Backers Go! I’m a Louisiana Republican and I’m proud to be voting along side all of you to keep The Messiah out of the White House.
PA and the US are ours for the taking next Tuesday. Can’t wait to see the crying in Grand Park next Tuesday night
Heck, there’s more info, entertainment and enthusiam here at HillBuzz than anywhere else on the web. Keep it up!

Thanks – I’ll look at it.
I wasn’t an Obama supporter until later on. Like the instance of voter intimidation at the Idaho Caucus. I went; no one intimidated me nor did I see anything and it was obvious who I was voting. My vote stood; I didn’t switch it.
October 28, 2008 at 11:16 pm
Hillary and Obama agree on 95% of the issues. If someone supported Hillary then switched to Mccain, it could only mean that he or she is a racist. Who cares about the personality of the president? What really matters are the issues.
If you supported Hillary’s healthcare reform, how could you possibly go for Mccain’s?
Obama won the primary, get over it.

To me, the sweetest thing to see, besides MSNBC’s demise, is the camera shot of a depressed gathering in Grant Park.
I would like to say thank you to the Dems on this blog that are willing to put country before party. I am a staunch conservative, but I truly have greater respect for you all after coming to this site.
Keep Up the Good Work!

I would like to echo the sentiments of the conservatives on Hillbuzz, and congratulate your blog and the DeMcCrats who vote Red this year.
Believe me, should a scenario like Romney being nominated instead of Sarah Palin one day, and Hillary is running on the opposite ticket, I pledge I will vote Democrat for the first time in my life, in solidarity to what you did in 2012.
Thanks for your good work, PUMAs!

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. From a conservative in Indiana who is praying to God daily that Obama doesn’t win. I love America and the freedom it offers. For those of us who were never in the Military, this is our chance to FIGHT FOR AMERICA. I’ll be forwarding this site to friends and family. God bless you and God bless America.

Nothing would make me happier than for you guys to be right, and to see the one million Mesia-maniacs cry their eyes out at that party in Chicago on election night. Wonder if the Mesiah’s ho will change her mind again about being proud of America.
Best wishes, and God bless from Texas.

My brother is a high school teacher. He was discussing Obama’s economic philosophy of “spreading the wealth” with his class and they all thought taking money from the “rich” and giving it to the “poor” sounded fair and reasonable. He then gave them a written test. When the test was completed and the papers graded, he told the class there would be a “grade pool.” All students who got an A had to donate 2 points to the pool and all students who got a B had to donate 1 point to the pool. This would take all of their grades down to a “C”. He then told the class that in the name of “fairness”, those students who got D’s would be given 1 point from the pool and those who got F’s would get 2 points from the pool, bringing all of their grades up to a “C”, and this way everybody would pass.
All of the students who originally got A’s and B’s complained that this was not right since they had studied harder than the students who got D’s and F’s. Many indicated they would not have studied so hard if they had known that their grades would be given to others who had not studied.
He then polled them again, and none of then thought “spreading the wealth” was such a good philosophy

I hope and PRAY you are all right about PA, I don’t doubt it either. I live in Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh-big Jewish/liberal neighborhood, and I have seen multiple McCain signs, a lot of Obama signs (the majority no doubt) but I think all the McCain supporters are just silent, cause the liberals have been SO in are face on Pitt’s campus, and you know these college kids will do anything to make themselves feel cool and accepted, and wearing an Obama pin is all the rage, if you’re an
