We have not had a single nasty comment by an Obama follower on this site since Drudge ran the gigantic headline about Obama’s socialist agenda, and audiotape proof of it breaking.
Whenever Obama is in trouble, these people clam up.
The worse something is for Obama, the quieter his followers get.
It’s how we gauge the impact of something around here.
Not a single Obamabot comment in the last hour. We’d usually have 30 of them in our spam filter in that hour.
NOT A SINGLE ONE.
Where did they all go?
UPDATE: Seriously. Two hours now. Not a single Obama Kool-Aid Gang comment. And these people are up all night attacking us, telling us how Obama will win, and making fun of Hillary Clinton supporters or saying vile things about Hillary herself. They do this all night — but not tonight. They’ve done this nonstop since we started this blog back in February. But not tonight.
Know when the last time they just got really, really quiet like this was?
When Jeremiah Wright became a household name.
That, and right after Hillary Clinton won primaries the media all claimed she’d lose. There was silence for a day or so after each of those, especially after the clobbering Obama took in West Virginia. Dead quiet then.
But, this feels more like the Jeremiah Wright silence – maybe because it came right out of the blue like this. We never go over to Kos or HuffPo, so we have no idea what’s happening over there. Please fill us in if you visit those places and let us know how Obama’s followers are reacting to this tape.
The next thing all of us should be thinking about is how we make sure every “bitter, gun-clinging, stoopid religious person in Pennsylvania” (as Obama and MoveOn.Org Democrats think of them all), in particular, hears about Obama’s grand scheme for American socialism. Everyone in Pennyslvania has to hear this tape — how can we make sure this happens?
Suggestions welcome. We’re all taking the next 8 days off work here at HillBuzz to do all we can for John McCain and Sarah Palin, because we truly believe America itself is at stake in this election. We all need to come together in this — to stop Obama, using his very own words against him.
Ironic if you think about it, because wasn’t Obama’s strong suit supposedly his velvety smooth words?

You’re all RAAAAAACISTS for promoting that audio!!!
(There. I figured I’d sum up what the Bots would say were they not busy peeing their pants)
:D
October 27, 2008 at 2:13 am
You’re exactly right. The Obama campaign must be freaking out right now.

October 27, 2008 at 2:52 am
Mary Beth – HA!
You’re taking the next 8 days off?!! And your Democrats?!?! PUMAs!?!?! Campaigning for a Republican??!!! You’re FREAKIN’ Awesome!
definitely helps with Drudge posting it. the MSM can’t look the other way. Talk radio will help it go viral. It’s long. Can someone shorten it to the main quotes and send it to undecided people we know? without being obnoxious.
Send letters to editors? See if it’ll get in papers? Keep spreading it around the web. Let’s take a page out of their playbook and ask, “How would Axelrod, mr. astroturf, do this?”
October 27, 2008 at 3:00 am
Agreed, someone definetly needs to recut it. And put some commentary in.
October 27, 2008 at 3:08 am
Hmm. I was really quite surprised to see not a single mention of this at either HuffPo or DailyKos. I figured I’d at least be met with some lunatic’s spin suggesting this was a plot by Karl Rove to invade Obama’s mind and make him say ridiculous things back in ‘01.
October 27, 2008 at 3:10 am
“How can we help . . .?” You can first help by not calling PA residents stupid in your article. That’s as insulting as Murtha’s comment. It only hurting the cause if PA residents read the blogs and see that comment here. Perhaps you were trying to be funny or sarcastic. But, it doesn’t come across that way when reading it. At least not to me. Just food for thought.
October 27, 2008 at 3:15 am
Daily KOS: nothing, nada, zip, zero. There’s no mention on the front page whatsoever.
October 27, 2008 at 3:19 am
The only lefty reaction I see so far (via memeorandum, is this guy.
He doesn’t deny what’s on the tape, he defends it thusly:
Despite their unholy alliance with the religious wackos, the nutters don’t seem to know that much about the Bible because one can find several “socialist” practices in it, some mandated by God Himself.
Now I’ve seen it all.
October 27, 2008 at 3:20 am
We should brace for the inevitable “racist” accusation. After all, he’s talking about “civil rights” and the “redistribution of wealth.” If you disagree with him on any policy whatsoever, then you’re a racist! RACIST!
October 27, 2008 at 3:28 am
I see the comments are in quotes with a parenthetical too. Thanks!
October 27, 2008 at 3:39 am
Hey. It was just words. Obama was just trying to win an election in his neighborhood. Now that he is trying to win in a bigger neighborhood he will amend his policies accordingly.

Did I get the tone right? It is so hard to tell these days. Snarling or stupidly reasonable.
Well any way I’m just doing my part to make you feel wanted.
Plus I posted something:

From my travels around the ‘net I’d say the tape has gone viral.
October 27, 2008 at 3:43 am
#11: Don’t worry everybody. I handled it.
October 27, 2008 at 3:44 am
It needs to be recut along with Joe the Plumber. Get it to 30 seconds.
October 27, 2008 at 3:52 am
You guys rock!
I think the bots are sharpening their “It’s edited and out of context!” spiel on youtube.
October 27, 2008 at 4:04 am
It’s up on the Fox News website now.
October 27, 2008 at 4:19 am
Rush Limbaugh email it to him. I think it’s also on flopping aces. Everyone needs to be blasting this everywhere.
October 27, 2008 at 4:30 am
OH MY GOD, THIS IS SO GOOD!!! LET US HOPE THAT IT IS THE FIRST OF A HALF DOZEN OR SO TO COME OUT THIS WEEK (I’m hoping the Whitey Tape will appear just in time to ruin the Precious’ faux State of the Union address).

Actually, it is because I actually went and listened to the entire Jan 18th program
http://www.wbez.org/audio_library/od_rajan01.asp#010118
He started talking about redistribution in relation to the disparity in funding for schools.
And that radical Eugene Volokh agrees with me
http://volokh.com/posts/1225086611.shtml
And if you actually listen to that program the others episodes of Odyssey he was on (February 27, April 23, 2001, September 6 in 2001 & March 19, 2002), you’ll be impressed.
And many people would want Obama as president and appointing judges rather than McCain & Palin.
October 27, 2008 at 5:04 am
It’s coming up on Fox and Friends at 5am CST! And boy, do those guys seem giddy this morning!
October 27, 2008 at 5:04 am
Ok, I want to clear my conscious a little. Hopefully you could make a blog post to help some fellow clinton supporters out.
I work for a campaign and can’t wait for this week to be over.
I was doing it for a job. I was not a fan of any candidate but over time grew to love HRC.
The internal campaign idea is to twist, distort, humiliate and finally dispirit you.
We pay people and organize people to go to all the online sites and “play the part of a clinton or mccain supporter who just switched our support for obama”
We do this to stifle your motivation and to destroy your confidence.
We did this the whole primary and it worked.
Sprinkle in mass vote confusion and it becomes bewildering. Most people lose patience and just give up on their support of a candidate and decide to just block out tv, news, websites, etc.
This surprisingly has had a huge suppressing movement and vote turnout issues.
Next, we infiltrate all the blogs and all the youtube videos and overwhelm the voting, the comments, etc. All to continue this appearance of overwhelming world support.
People makes posts to the effect that the world has “gone mad”
Thats the intention. To make you feel stressed and crazy and feel like the world is ending.
We have also had quite a hand in skewing many many polls, some we couldn’t control as much as we would have liked. But many we have spoiled over. Just enough to make real clear politics look scarey to a mccain supporter. Its worked, alough the goal was to appear 13-15 points ahead.
see, the results have been working. People tend to support a winner, go with the flow, become “sheeple”
The polls are roughly 3-5 points in favor of Barack. Thats due to our inflation of the polls and pulling in the sheeple.
Our donors, are the same people who finance the MSM. Their interests are tied, Barack then tends to come across as teflon. Nothing sticks. And trust, there were meetings with Fox news. The goal was to blunt them as much as possible. Watch Bill Oreilly he has become much more diplomatic and “fair and balanced” and soft. Its because he wants to retain the #1 spot on cable news and to do that he has to have access to the Obama campaign and we worked hard at stringing him a long and keeping him soft for an interview swap. It worked and now he is anticipating more access. So he is playing it still soft.
This is why nothing sticks.
The operation is massive, the goal is to paint a picture that is that of a winner, regardless of the results.
There is no true inauguration draft or true grant park construction going on. There will be a party, but we are boasting beyond the truth to make it seem like the election is wrapped up.
Our goal is to continue to make you lose your moral. We worked hard at persuasion and paying off and timing and playing the right political numbers to get key republican endorsements to make it seem even more like it was over and the world was coming to an end for you all.
There is a huge staff of people working around the clock, watching every site, blogs, etc. We flood these sites. We have had a goal to overwhelm.
The truth is here. I could go on and on, but you get the picture.
I am saying this because I know HRC was better for the country, and now realize this. I was too late by the time I connected to her. To me Barack was just a cool young dude that seemed like a star. I didn’t know him or his policies, but now I understand more than I care to and I realize his interests are more for him, and the DNC and all working like puppets with dean. I always thought a president wanted the better good for the country. The end result I see is everyone dependent on the government, this means more and more people voting for the DNC. This means the future is forever altered. I don’t see this as america, so I am now supporting John Mccain.
Sarah Palin is a huge threat, and our campaign has feared her like you can’t imagine. If it seems unfair how she has been treated, well its because she has had a team working round the clock to make her look like a fool.
this is a big conspiracy and I am so shocked that its not realized.
We released a little blurb the other day that the Obama campaign was already working on reelection and now putting our efforts towards 2012. This was to make it seem like it was above us to continue caring about 2008. Trust me, its a lie. David is very smart, but its a sticky ugly not very truthful kind of intelligence.
Its not over yet, but I think the machine is working. And its a hill to climb.
I will be quitting my post on nov 5th and my vote will be for John Mccain. Fortunately, my position has been a marketing position and I don’t feel I had any part of anything I would feel guilty for. But I look forward to getting out of this as the negativity and environment upsets me.
I wish you all well, and goodluck.
PS my name is not really sarah. but I am a female and I understand your plight.

i have to say i support mccain but i do not believe that tape will help at all. when you listen to the tape you have to read between the lines and connect the dots. most obama supporters do neither so without a news report on tv explaining the tape the effecto f the tape is only red meat for mccain supporters.
October 27, 2008 at 5:18 am

It’s called the pucker factor.
October 27, 2008 at 5:51 am
As per their usual MO, the Obama campaign is busy pressuring news outlets they own, I mean support, to minimize this. And preparing their spin with tons of experts and high level people to dismiss and ’splain why this is nothing and we need to move along. And they will have 3 or 4 new awful scandals about Sarah and John. Plus more sexist stuff to rile us up and make us angry and distracted. And there will be more attacks on Trig too. Just cause they have to win and they just don’t care how much of their souls they see to do it.
October 27, 2008 at 5:58 am
First I want to say for democrats ;) you guys ROCK!!
I, myself am trying to get this audio placed on any and all blogs and groups I belong to.
We have 8 days left and McCain can pull this off.
October 27, 2008 at 6:17 am
There is little that separates between Obama’s (D-ACORN) and Rev. Wright’s rhetoric, sans the GD America.
McCain needs to bring this all together:
Rev Wright – Obama’s tape – Joe the Plumber
October 27, 2008 at 6:22 am
Look for one of the following:
Deflection – Obama (D-ACORN) will say that this was years ago, but have you heard McCain’s “bomb, bomb, bomb Iran” or similar
Minimization – oh, that was 7 years ago and my (Obama) view has changed since then. I could hae been more artful…blah, blah, blah
Reassessment – my (Obama) view has changed since then…..
But, make no mistake, this one hurts because it follows a clear pattern. McCain must bring it altogether.
October 27, 2008 at 6:31 am
ON MORNING JOE!!!
October 27, 2008 at 6:38 am
Nothing at Huffington. I don’t go there or to Kos, but, for you awesome people I went to Huff – not a ting…maybe they think if they doin’t acknowledge it and MSM ignores it – it will go away…but I don’t see that happening!
Thinking about how to get this to PA…

Watch out, whenever Teleprompter Jesus is in trouble they launch a fauxrage haka to change the subject.
October 27, 2008 at 6:57 am
This clip might even be more damaging as he says the constitution is flawed
October 27, 2008 at 7:03 am
I hope John and Sarah are minding their P’s and Q’s. When ever the obamessiah is in trouble the wretched obots instigate and trump up any and every thing real and imagined about them to knock the attention off the annointed one. I wish that this news would be all over the place but I always get my hopes up and absolutely nothing ever stcks to the teflon god. There has to be some thing out there some where that will take him down.
October 27, 2008 at 7:06 am
UPDATE!!!!I think Fox and friends are about to talk about this audio!!They mentioned it right before the commercial break.
October 27, 2008 at 7:16 am
But don’t you think only Fox will touch this, and even they may not? That’s what Obama campaign is banking on. That no one will touch this because it IS racially charged. So the bots will keep it zipped so it doesn’t pick up steam…
October 27, 2008 at 7:28 am
Obama spells doom for capitalism, so the overheated markets are popping the world over. It’s not how Obama will respond to the markets, it’s how the markets respond to Obama. Obama equals Depression. Why can’t someone at McCain HQ get that across, somehow, instead of yapping on and on about the war hero never surrendering in Iraq yadda yadda, talking about Dewey and Knute Rockny. Get with the now, it’s not too late..
October 27, 2008 at 7:32 am
Fox & Friends is all over this one. It will probably gain traction all day. And it’s still on Drudge….
October 27, 2008 at 7:37 am
Politico.com has it on the front page also.
October 27, 2008 at 7:42 am
A friend told me on another site to go to Obama’s site and get a list of 100 names and numbers to call and instead of calling and telling them to vote for Obama tell them why not to vote for Obama and vote for McCain. It is working very well.
October 27, 2008 at 7:42 am
Fox is all over this…….This is definitive proof that Barack’s social views are far beyond traditional liberal/progressive “give a helping hand up” values. This is blatant government intervention at the court level deciding who deserves what and redistributing the wealth accordingly. This is socialism/marxism and is astonishing and if implemented will be the end of democracy. This MUST be used against Barack.
October 27, 2008 at 7:59 am
We should get Joe the Plumber to talk about this.
October 27, 2008 at 8:05 am
I don’t think the MSM is going to be able to keep a lid on this one. It’s going to go viral. If McCain doesn’t have this in a campaign commercial within 24 hours then his campaign really is as incompetent as it seems.
October 27, 2008 at 8:09 am
This tape surfaced in an article/blog on Chicago Public Radio site (I found it through a series of links and can’t quite remember now how I got there) I think in July but took this long to get into the dialog. Looks like it needed the Joe the Plumber context for it to become relevant.
October 27, 2008 at 8:10 am
Fox did cover it this morning. this tape has to go viral so it can’t be ignored. That is why Obots havent commented. Even negative publicity still gets the story out there in the publics eye
Uh oh, I sneezed during a Nobama commercial, I expect to be called a racist for that any minute
October 27, 2008 at 8:21 am
Oh, you guys! I’m sort of hoping I’m one of the first “Obama Kool-Aid drinkers” to stop by. Actually, I came here just to see what was going on in the right wingnut blogosphere and I am SO glad I did. You’ll be happy (or maybe not) to know that I’m not peeing my pants (as one of you so delicately put it) about your tape. Just thought I’d let you know. Well, I have got to get on back to reality, so you all have good day!
October 27, 2008 at 8:38 am
morning joe talked about it, and fox is discussing it as well.
(have you seen the latest on the API site? not sure where this is going, but if it is real, it sounds like it is getting closer to coming out…)

Senator Obama’s views are way outside the mainstream, and I just think these comments are really going to change the way some people were thinking about voting. I think people are going to say, you know, Senator Obama is a young man, let’s wait 4 years and see what kind of a record he has. Make him commit to some things so we can see who he really is and what he will really do.
Dear God, How is it humanly possible that NOT ONE SINGLE REPORTER covered or reported on this tape, particularly after the “Joe the Plumber” comments when it became hugely relevant??? That’s mind-blowing, especially if it was accessible on the Chicago Public Radio site. The MSM has done NO work to try and find out who Senator Obama is and what he really believes in and stands for. This is particularly galling when the man literally has no record; one would almost begin to think he was intentionally trying to avoid leaving any trace of his views or beliefs . . .
Frankly, I believe this tape is a game changer. I think it’s worth 2% in the nation wide polls, helps McCain cinch down and win Ohio, Florida, and Missouri, maybe puts Virginia and Iowa back in play, and may even put Pennsylvania in play at the end of the day.
October 27, 2008 at 9:25 am

You people absolutely ROCK!
Speaking as a conservative Republican, you restore my faith in the political process — that we can have well-meaning disagreements and dialog over differences. You are truly worthy opponents in the arena of ideas.
I am very grateful that when the chips are down we can unite as Americans in purpose to defeat the danger of Obama.
And we are going to win!

Hey, whoever recuts it, just play it straight – don’t put in the Halloween music
It’s chilling enough – but for those who don’t get it – some commentary that explains it like you were a 6 year old is probably needed.
The defenders went dead quiet on my end, too – except for one who says Bush is a socialist, so how dare I criticize The Obama.

“Baghdad Bob” Beckel was just on Fox News spinning the 2001 Chicago PR audio, saying he (B.O.) was only talking about redistrubing property taxes to pay for public schools.
Yeah. Uh-huh.
Is that why B.O. thinks the Constitution is fundamentally flawed? Grrrrr!
October 27, 2008 at 10:19 am
I am submitting the youtube link and an explanation of the video to local tv stations in Pennsylvania. Most stations have a contact section where viewers can send video, etc. to the station. Here is a link to local stations across PA. Perhaps if stations get swamped with this they’ll report it.

October 27, 2008 at 10:24 am
People need to link to it. I couldn’t even find it on the Republican sites. I’m glad Drudge was mentioned so I could find it.
That audio is devastating. This is worse than Wright or whatever else because these are Obama’s own words and they state exactly what change means. It means REDISTRIBUTIVE CHANGE THROUGH COMMUNITY ORGANIZING!!! His own words say that he wants socialism. Crazy.
It hasn’t gone viral enough IMO. But if Drudge has it up, it shouldn’t be long now. McCain needs to make a new commercial.

IT’S THE OTHER AUDIO THAT GETS HIM! He calls the constitution the fundamental flaw of this country. :-o Even liberals can’t fight that one. Please, please, how can we get that to the independents?
October 27, 2008 at 10:36 am
The MSM, including supposedly conservative FOX will completely ignore this…cover it up as usual. McCain and his supporters MUST make this public and do it the right way. That is, by giving clear examples of life under the Marxist Obama. Are you leaving something to your kids? Big Brother will take half, distribute it to the “deserving needy” and tax the hell out of the half remaining for your family. The death tax will become impossible for ALL, not just farmers and the like. Homes will have to be sold to pay taxes of 50%. This is the sort of thing the MCCain camp had better say. Just calling Obama a Marxist may be true, but it doesn’t resonate. Remember the House banking scandal? The ability of thug politicians to write bad checks…that resonated with voters and the 1994 election was proof. So DOES MCCAIN HAVE THE GUTS TO TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT THIS THUG? We’ll find out.

October 27, 2008 at 11:08 am
They couldn’t comment because they are lemmings. They have to wait until they are told what to say. I first noticed these kinds of cultish followers when I used to debate Bush cultists. They behaved exactly the same as the Obama cultists (in fact, many of Bush’s former cultists have now jumped ship and are now endorsing Obama).
The Bush cultist used to wait until Karl Rove put out the talking points whenever a controversy erupted. They were incapable of coming up with their own thoughts because they where so used to blindly following Bush and repeating Rove’s talking points that they lost the ability to think for themselves.
The same is true for the Obamatons.
October 27, 2008 at 11:10 am
Rush is talking about the tape
October 27, 2008 at 11:11 am
I don’t understand what is taking the Obots so long to respond. We all know what the answer is: 1. This is a distraction. 2. Shows how desperate McCain is. 3. This was a theoretical discussion and you rubes are too dumb to “get it.” 4. Y’all are racists. Ta da — It writes itself by now.

Hillbuzz isn’t calling Pa residents stupid, he’s quoting from idiots like Oblah and Murtha.

Downloadable audio as mp3 of 54 minute show from WBEZ Chicago public radio is here
October 27, 2008 at 11:31 am
Wow.
It was only a few months ago when Obama was pinned down about slavery reparations. Up until then he’d made remarks suggesting he was in favor of them. When cornered he said he wasn’t. I think this audio proves that it’s been his long-standing belief in slavery reparations. Why should anyone now believe his self-serving campaign rhetoric-of-the-moment?
And by the way, at the risk of being accused of racism, this audio points to his belief that the FAILURE of redistribution of wealth as part of the civil rights movement is a TRAGEDY that should be overcome, if not by the courts, then legislatively. It seems then his notion of redistribution of wealth is race-based.
So, we have a candidate who attended a Black Liberation Theology church for 20 years and whose pastor is his “spiritual mentor”. We have a candidate who believes in slavery reparations. We have a candidate who dismissively characterizes opposition as racism. We have a candidate who believes in maintaining racial ghettos in order to preserve political power. We have a candidate who wants to institute a civilian youth corps based on his Public Allies program that offers stipends and tuition to a membership that requires a disproportionate share of minorities. We have a candidate who has a cozy relationship with the racist and anti-Semitic Nation of Islam. We have a candidate who’s written two autobiographies (that apparently none of the media have actually read) that express racial grievances. And we have a candidate who called his grandmother a typical white person.
His racial agenda has been covered up and whitewashed (pun very much intended) by the media. Why? Do THEY secretly harbor racism and are they projecting it onto the voting public?

How about this suggestion:
1) Drive a big car or van around Pennsylvania with speakers. Now, i don’t know if it’s legal. But on the speakers, can’t you play the Obama radio interview? You can stay in one area, for a bit, put up a sign, etc, and move to another location. In NYC, where there are parks and crowded areas, there are always people with their bullhorn. Worst case, you can just play those tapes via speaker somewhere legal as a “protest” (you may need to get a permit).
2) What else? Well, definitely go to the local media stations and give this to them to play at all news segments. After all the spotlight in B. West’s interview, maybe a few of them will prove that they’re better journalists than the mainstream elite media.
3) Maybe you can work with those PACs or something, they make their own republican Pro-McCain tv ads. Maybe you can write them & convince them this is the best weapon we have.
4) You know what’s better? If you replace one of McCain’s ads on Wed, after Obama’s 30min tv show, like right after, or in between the baseball game’s advertisements.
I don’t know if any of that is helpful.

Any thoughts on why they think WV is close but KY is not? I live in KY and think it is hillarious that they think WV may go for Obama… when I was upset KY didn’t give HIllary her greatest margin! Do you have any opionion what someone in KY can do for McCain when we are going red anyway besides voting out all the Dems in KY that supported BHO? In KY I am voting straight Republican this year to punish my party for their stupidity and greed! Has anyone made calls for McCain and is it like making calls for HIllary? Are PUMAs making calls from somewhere else?

October 27, 2008 at 12:23 pm
You said normally, “…these people are up all night attacking us.”
It finally dawned on me a day or so ago that many of the pro-Obama comments on youtube (maybe everywhere on the internet) are not coming from Americans.
Check the youtube video of Obama’s comments about the “fundamental flaw” of our country and constitution http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11OhmY1obS4
In the Statistics & Data list, this video is Most Viewed in Canada, Germany, Australia, UK, Ireland, India, Israel, Spain, Mexico, France, Japan, South Korea, Netherlands, Poland, Brazil, Russia, Hong Kong, Czech Republic, Sweden.
I’m suggesting that Americans probably were not staying up all night to attack you. The attacks have been coming from Obama supporters from around the world.
That’s my theory and I like it.

The Obots are too busy posting on the Politico and ABC News websites — and surely others I haven’t gotten around to yet. They’re going ballistic on those sites, trying their best to keep other Obama supporters in line. There’s not as urgent a need to invade anti-Obama sites — they have to keep their own rank and file supporters in the fold.

The original video got over one MILLION views (don’t know if partial views are counted on the counter, or if the counter is for page views) in just 15 hours – between 8/9 pm and 2/3pm the next day for many people.
How many people will see this now that it’s daytime – Monday afternoon by now. Lot’s of people probably sending this around their email lists by now. I know I did.

An Obama administration would cause a great shift in the middle class……from middle to poverty. Once ObamaPelosiReid get a taste of tax & spend, their appetite will only grow.
Next they will want to tax the middle class to help the poor. Than they will tax the upper class to pay for liberal pet projects like the “Obama Peace Army”.

All this partisan bickering is why Democrats and Republicans are tearing this country apart. It’s going to take more than McCain/Palin or Obama/Biden to save us. Personally, I’d rather have a Harvard/Columbia law school grad at the helm than–all due respect–an ex military/over the hill politician and his beauty queen sidekick who merely has a degree in communications.

It’s a good indication indeed. I’ve a stream of indignation coming my way when I wrote about Obama’s endorsments by Quadaffi at al, but when yesterday I wrote about Obama’s official site explictly targeting kids age 12 and under, there were only a few “how dare you!” voices.
I guess the fact that the same age group is protected by regulations even when it comes to marketing of products like candies and cereal might’ve helped.
Let’s see what happens with the tape story.

Hello. My name is Eric, and I am a conservative republican backing John McCain.
I confess to having said very harsh things about Hillary Clinton, but I am genuinely glad that a chunk of her supporters are considering John McCain.
If you would like to add my blog to your blogroll, I would be happy to do the same. I am a fairly moderate republican, but again, for the sake of ethics, confess that I am not a Clinton fan. I just do not want to mislead anyone.
I believe in John McCain, and would accept support from across the aisle because people should accept whatever support they have.
Respectfully,

October 28, 2008 at 2:20 am
What’s so “shocking” on this tape on YouTube? Would anyone be shocked if we talked about redistributing wealth to large corporations in the form of gov. bailouts and tax breaks–I’m sorry, “incentives.” I know, these socialist gifts create jobs and keep the firms from moving to the Caymen Islands. We see how well that’s all worked out, don’t we?
Why don’t we get excited about the government reallocation of billions of taxpayer dollars the way we do the allocation of thousands or even hundreds of private dollars, if that?

October 28, 2008 at 3:57 am
Regarding what Sarah P wrote:
Of course this is true.
It’s interesting that this is supposedly written by an ex-campaigner, but it was obvious already that that is what they do.
A couple of times I went on to YouTube, and it’s plain as day that professional commentators are at work.
E.g. You write something about Ayers.
Within 3 minutes, there’ll be 10-15 comments about how he was just a young confused guy, or he’s a respected educator now, or he has no connection to Obama, or references to FactCheck, etc.
Then they’ll just repeat the same thing for the next 5 minutes.
Then you see the very same messages on other videos, over and over. They rotate the points around or have one or two words different. I think YouTube blocks verbatim comments as spam.
Aslo there’s always some “I’ve voted Republic since Reagan” or “I’ve been a Republican all my life” or “I voted for Bush both times, and I was betrayed. Never again.” or “Obama is the true moderate in this election.”
So a lot of it is just blatant and undeniable. Some of it is just a feeling or a hunch based on decades of watching election campaigns and paying attention to how propaganda works and how people normally speak.
Sometimes I think they’re trying to act like Republicans or Conservatives who for all sorts of bizarre reasons are voting for the O, but they just can’t get the conservative mindset right, and so they just come off as liberal parodies of a conservative.
Where do you think all those hundreds of millions of donation bucks are going anyway?
===
Sarah, why don’t you go public?
First of all anything you say anonymously could be written off or laughed away.
Also, if you have proof and approach the press, you could be a big story. I’m sure most of the MSM is for Obama and have sold their credibility to Hell, but most of them crave getting a scoop more than anything.

Word… Hey geniuses, GW has been redistributing wealth for 8 years…how’s THAT working for us? Hmmm….
Yeah..it takes a real genius to support 4 more years of taking from the middle class and making the rich….richer….
I’ll have all of you know I’ve voted Republican since I was 18 (I’m 44), I own my own business, and this has gotten way out of hand…someone needs to bring the right back to the middle…NOT the left!
But you kids have to understand the the economic and political “hands off” attitude of the conservative party is what has put us in this mess. Capitalism is GOOD….un-monitored though, it turns to greed.
We’ve sent more jobs overseas under GW than any other president in history, our debt is so high I don’t know if or how we’ll pay it off… a crisis on Wall Street created by this guy, and you all want to support a guy that has not give one shred of evidence on how he will turn the tide…because he has no intention to.
Call me a Bot or whatever….it doesn’t matter to me….we need a change in this country and it is not going to come from McCain….I wish it was….but I tell you…it’s not.

If the elections go as predicted in the polls, we can expect a quasi- communistic, or communistic, era to come over this country. “Redistribution of the wealth” is socialistic talk for “take from those who work for their money, and give it to those who stay home.” So why work? Sigh.
This has already happened in S. AFrica, which is communistic in government. People’s farms are being taken away, and the original farmers killed. Those that take the land do not even know how to farm.

Thanks for your support of McCain/Palin. My 29 year old daughter who was never really very political before has had her eyes opened because the bias in the Media has been so blatant that she even noticed it.
One of the things that has shocked her the most is the complete silence on the media’s part about the Hillary vote. For instance when the Vice President of NOW supported Palin and along with other big name feminists only Fox News reported it. Yet, we hear when every moderate Republican makes a sneeze about Palin or McCain.
There is another tape out but the LA Times is suppressing it.
Here is the Link:
http://article.nationalreview.com/print/?q=ZDFkMGE2MmM1M2Q5MmY0ZmExMzUxMWRhZGJmMTAyOGY=
The name of the article is:
The L.A. Times Suppresses Obama’s Khalidi Bash Tape Obama, Ayers, and PLO supporters toast Edward Said’s successor, but the press doesn’t think it’s quite as newsworthy as Sarah Palin’s wardrobe.
Since, the LA Times is hurting – it just laid off a bunch of workers. My husband told me I should write a letter to them telling them I would subscribe (paid in advance) for a year if they would release it. And then I should try to encourage 1000’s of Republicans in the LA area to do the same. I live in a suburb of LA.
Seriously, everyone should call them to complain.

The only thing that scares me is the idiocy some people wear with such pride that you’d think it was a Valentino jacket. I strongly suspect most of you wouldn’t know socialism if it slapped you in the face! Socialism has got nothing to do with progressive tax systems, and although using taxes to provide for social benefits like medicare and social welfare is a way of redistributing wealth, it isn’t really socialism. Oops! Nationalisation is a far more crucial step towards socialism…Double oops! Didn’t Bush, the congress, the senate, the precious Sen. McCain just do that?
In any case, even that is not socialism. Anybody who really and truly believes that anybody can turn the USA into a socialist state over the next 4, or even 8 years, needs a cold shower.
But I do think the majority of Americans are tired of being exploited by the few, to the extent that they have been exploited these last years, and are looking for a society that creates true opportunities for all, not just for the meanest and the greediest. So please tell me what is so terribly wrong with taking care of your sick, your elderly, your young, your poor, your workers. Tell me why you are so scared of having good health care, education and infrastructure, not just for the rich, but for all your citizens. That is not socialism. It is caring for your neighbour and your fellow citizen. Some might call that a fair redistribution of wealth.

The fiction that you are all H. Clinton fans is insane. There isn’t a dimes worth of difference between her worldview and Obama’s and on the major policies that a president will deal with, she and Obama are in lockstep. I don’t know if someone who looked like Obama flushed your kitten when you were young or what but the fiction that your entire website is built around is, well, a lie. The Republican party deserves you – come out of the closet and enlist!

No one really cares about the audio tape because the entire country is tired of listening to John McCain stumble through a feable attack on Barack. “Socialism, blah, blah, blah.”
No one’s buying it, and it certainly won’t make any difference next Tuesday.
If McCain had any spirit, energy, coherence, and wasn’t on the worst ticket in 20 years, then maybe Obama supporters would be “hushed” or “silent”.
That silence you hear is Barack and Michelle “measuring their drapes” for the White House. Hope you enjoy the next 8 years.

The tape is a great big nothing. You’re grasping at straws. Hillary would have used it if there were anything there, but she was smart enough to know it would have only made her look silly, the way its making Drudge look silly now, acting like its the missing segment of the Watergate tapes.
Fail.

“Hello. My name is Eric, and I am a conservative republican backing John McCain.”
“I am a fairly moderate republican…”
In the same email from Eric! No flip flopping there!
The fact is that Eric is a right wingnut and there’s absolutely nothing moderate about him. He should fit in quite well with you “Hillary fans” but you should level with him so he can understand that you’re “Hillary fans” who believe in all of the positions and the philosophy of the Republican party.

Haha, so funny.
Maybe they’re all too busy laughing at Ted Steven’s conviction and the fact that Palin is about to go down with him once everyone realizes her corrupt and “good-ol-boy” ways.
Seriously, look at your own party and try to tell us with a straight face that your leaders all really such good, upstanding citizens. *puke*

Adam, every voter and every American is “relevant” and if you don’t think so then it is you who need to seek another country. The fact that you show such narcissistic blogger boy mentality is very representative of your candidate.
Do you not think if Obama “wins” we wont’ still fight to expose him? To show that he himself ruined his legacy when he cheated in every single caucus state and committed voter fraud in the Indiana primary?
It is you who will become less involved. Less and less able to deny that Obama is the worst candidate for president since Nixon. The media backlash against him when the truth comes out will burst your “echo” chamber bubble and Axelrod will be shown for the psychopath he truly is.
Sarahp. I thank you for your post. Alinsky’s rules with sick twists were apparent from the beginning here. The media being bought and sold to the point of spewing hatred. I knew their stance and misogyny was coming directly from the Obama campaign.
what is also clear is that this agent of “change” co ordinated those caucus FRAUDS and silenced the will of the American people in doing so. He’s a puppet candidate of Soros and the D.N.C. is bought and paid for. So are all of the Obama supporters who actually believed in this “echo chamber” and the marketing language.
The sad thing is that no one will come forward until AFTER this is all over. The voters bullied, and cheated will be heard. Even this part seems planned. Yours is not the first “reaching out” confession I’ve heard lately. In fact…just this week. I think the so called Soroscratic party knew all along that for future elections they would need to reach out. In fact I believe the next step is to acknowledge the video and academic evidence of the RAMPANT cheating in the primary…to feign shock and faux outrage that this could happen WHILE denying it was done on purpose with the knowledge of the Obama campaign or the party. In short, ACORN and certain sections of Move On will be thrown under the bus…perhaps Move On will still benefit monetarily but, an announcement will be made against “any group” generic to denounce this.
Then they will run some sort of a campaign to truly “unify” Obama voters will one by one start coming forward with statements such as yours over the next year and many will feel “HEALED” of the cheating debacle which ROBBED them of a vote and their rights as American citizens. Some will fall for it and the party will feel it has it’s base back ANNNND the new voters.
What it won’t do is admit it did all this on purpose, ala Alinsky. Using both race, and gender as well as class and age to DIVIDE While saying all along you were doing the opposite. These are typical “community organizer” tactics taken to levels usually reserved for banana republics. Fear, intimidation, cheating, hatred of those you seek to demoralize…
One thing they are not counting on in this hate spewing, vote stealing plan though?? People have long memories about some of this. The generic person whose vote was stolen is someones sister, mother, father..it matters to people if their rights are stomped on when their run was JUST AS important as anyone else’s. When most people believe that the most basic part of being American is that we all have a voice, and that voice is our vote. Take it away on purpose on this scale? You no longer have a democratic country.
Your conscience post IS appreciated…the timing of it however is not.
October 28, 2008 at 1:02 pm
Republicans now talking without irony about ’stealing elections’ and ’spewing hate.’ Who would of thought we’d see the day?
Hate is an indisputable bad. But the GOP has earned at least alot of dislike over the past 8 years. If for nothing else than using blatant fear-mongering as a policy tool.
You’re right. The people probably won’t forget. I haven’t forgetten the multiple abuses wrought by W.’s administrations. Nor am I likely to anytime soon. Just desserts are rolling in.
I’m sure you’ll find a way to get by. We’ve all made it this far.
October 28, 2008 at 1:06 pm
‘Stealing elections’ and ’spewing hate’? How does it feel now that the shoe is approaching the other foot?
The amazing part is, you guys really seem to believe you’re being wronged somehow. Did you really think it was going to go on for ever. That the GOP had so successfully fear-mongered that the populations was never going to wake up?

The level on ignorance displayed by the posters on this is literally breathtaking. In reading these posts, I can say with some degree of confrot that education is the greatest challenge facing America right now. I see little more than an angry mob with a bunch of torches late at night, braying about something they don’t understand, and who have no idea what is about to happen. But let me suggest that those here who assert that global and domestic financial markets are tanking out of an anticipatory bad reaction to Obama’s future election have no clue what they are talking about — it is probably the stupidist thing I have ever read anywhere on the internet. The world, and the capital markets, AND a decisive majority of American voters, are all going to celebrate Obama’s election next week, and you will be left to try and explain what happened. And my guess is that your conclusion will be that somebody stole it from you — by a 10 million vote margin, but whose counting — and not that it happened because of widespread rejection of the type of hateful politics that is exemplified day in and day out within the right wing fringe. Try and pay attention to, and learn from, the political tsunami you are about to experience, or you will be looking at 30 or 40 years of Deomcratic political domination.
October 28, 2008 at 4:54 pm
PS – My guess is that Sarahp is every bit as authentic as the McCain supporter who carved the B into her forehead last week and claimed she was mugged by a big, angry black man who saw her McCain bumper sticker and decided to mutilate her. I bet Hill Buzz was all fired up about that fraud, too.

Post #133:
Disillusioned republicans are a democratic stunt? Are you kidding me?
When my party has to resort to playing “mind games” like this SarahP post, I continue to find myself wondering what this party has become.
I’m a conservative because I believe the government shouldn’t believe they have a right to dictate my life. Traditionally, it was the democrats deciding to allocate my funds to those who contribute the least to our society.
Now, its the republicans who seem to have given up all of our foundation to support a broken party that commits us to war for reasons we don’t understand. The Patriot Act? What rationale mind believes that a government can be so free of corruption that limitless monitoring of its people won’t be abused.
I was a Republican until the day Bush’s administration decided to invade another nation, fabricating reasons for doing so. That is not the work of the America I’ve fought for.
Call me a shill, call me whatever. But if you don’t question what our party has become, then the party is doomed, and probably for the better.

This is one manifestation of a broader phenomenon we over here in the other party have been seeing since Vietnam (maybe longer — that’s as far back as I’ve seen it). You find somebody to say he used to be a strong conservative, then he went to Vietnam to serve, and that turned him into a raging leftist. I’m not sure it works. Now everyone, quit calling Obama a “socialist.” He’s a Marxist Communist. Look at his policies and his beliefs, they’re Marxist. In his books he even talks about how he looked for and drew Marxists into his life intentionally.
Have you ever noticed that all of the persons from his past that he proclaims have formed him are all Marxist Communists? His father Obama, Sr., or his other father Frank Marshall Davis (Frank in “Dreams From My Father”) were both Marxist Communists. His mother was an athiest and Communist sympathizer. His cousin Raila Odinga, whom Obama supports in Kenya is a Marxist Communist (as was Raila’s father). Most of his current and recent past alliances are Marxist Communists, in addition to being subversives, radicals or terrorists.
So people, don’t mince words, tell it like it is.

How can we as Americans ignore all of the warning signs left behind by the Obama campaign? If you love socialism (ie. extensive government control, high taxes, reduction of private property, etc.), then he’s your candidate; otherwise, vote for McCain! McCain isn’t my idea of the perfect candidate but I think he will ensure the nations safety, and he will preserve our freedoms.
Also, how many of hits above are posted by the workers of the Obama campaign? According to some Obama campaign deserters, any time that a negative is posted against him or any pro-McCain response is posted, the workers are suppose to blast back with responses to make Obama seem to be the “good guy” and to make anybody else look stupid.

I wanted to comment here and let you guys know…I am a blogger who started a page in support of Sarah Palin. http://www.moms4sarahpalin.blogspot.com
CNN somehow found me, and came to our home, did a story that was somewhat fair although it completely mischaracterized my blog as being a part of a Bible study. No such thing was ever said.
After the story aired, the influx of koolaid drinkers, as you put it, was unreal. Thousands of comments…we left some, simply to expose them for who they are. Our lives have been threatened, I have gotten middle of the night prank calls, mail here at my home, and since being on CNN I have been approached in public. The latest ploy was to hack into my paypal account through which I have been selling pro-Sarah Palin t-shirts.
Funny thing, though. I immediately saw it for what it was and it motivated me. Sure, it ticked me off…I had to take a few days to get it together, and got rather defensive in my blogging for a while….but it helped me to see that I was being effective. They have not let up. They continue to threaten me, and my readers who comment on my blog to the point that, while the traffic is still there, my readers are afraid to comment!
Thank you, Sarahp for revealing what we already knew….it took guts to do that. I just hope that after the election, we’ll be able to truly meet you and thank you.

TAMI you call yourself a Christian but you’re the worst type of Christians. Just one peep in your site and its full of hatred, racism and against everything Jesus and his beliefs. So sad.
Here are the facts who is playing defense?
1) The answer is McCain. They have been saying they are playing catch up but hello the same speech he gave last Sunday he is giving it today. He is playing a or trying a hail mary throw in Pennsy but he is down according to all polls from 5-15. Look at three big polls. Rasmussen, Zogby and Gallup. Just yesterday all three showed Obamas moving back up again.
2) All polls no matter what still show Obama ahead in national scene but lets get down to it and with 3 days before the election what matters most is state polls and look at these. Colorado, Nevada, and Virginia which voted for Bush in 2004 now are more by RCP average in favor of Obama. Obama can still win without these but McCain can’t.
3) I was so against Hillary and so I was against Romney. Mostly in their tactics, mentality and policies. But God for McCain to bring Palin on the scene was just the icing in the cake. I would rather have both Hillary and Romney leading the country than that Palin woman anywhere near the white house. Writing the reasons is for me to write a book.
4) I’m the most pessimistic guy there is but man the early voting has giving me much and very much hope. The numbers are there! Only something catastrophic would not make Obama win on Tuesday!
Finally I’m an independent, latino and OIF veteran. Both these men had my respect. During the primaries I was an avid Ron Paul supporter. After the primaries I was inclined for Obama but I wouldn’t had mind McCain. But see above. I’m scared as heck that Palin would be one step away from the Presidency.
By the way Obama campaign is definitely playing it safe and that’s the reason for the beautiful informercial.
November 1, 2008 at 2:37 pm
You people are unbelievable. NOBODY CARES ABOUT WHATEVER IS ON THAT FREAKIN’ TAPE! My husband and I were thisclose to losing our house earlier this year. It was only by the grace of God that we didn’t. So, do you think the majority of Americans are worried about what’s on a flippin’ tape?? When most of ‘em are losing their jobs and can’t make their mortgage payments?? Please! STOP THIS NONSENSE!!! I swear Repubs reach for this kind of tripe everytime the writings on the wall for them. I for one don’t trust this country being in another divisive Republicans hands for another 4 years. I especially don’t trust this country and more importantly, this CURRENT ECONOMY to fall into the hands of John McCain who wouldn’t know the first thing of how to deal with it. And Sarah Palin doesn’t offer any kind of back up on that front either.
Don’t worry, November 5th is just days away and the GOP party can finally take a nice long rest from being so utterly ridiculous.
Obama/Biden ‘08
November 1, 2008 at 4:18 pm
94 % of all mortgages are current, so the majority of Americans are CAN SO make their mortgage payments. The issues come from people that took out mortgages for homes that they couldn’t afford and should never have been purchased in the first place.
Most people are NOT losing their jobs but many WILL if Obama is elected. Companies have already planned massive lay-offs if he is elected in anticipation of his narcissistic tax policy.
I myself fell behind on my mortgage and lost my home last year. My home-based business didn’t work out. That’s how the cookie crumbles. I took the chance and it crashed. I don’t blame the Bush Administration because it had nothing to do with it.
The current economy is a result of mismanagement of mortgages companies because of government intervention mandated by Congressional Democrats (Barney Frank . Anyone with a clue knows and anyone that says otherwise is frankly in denial.

I’d like to, once again, commend you guys. I truly had lost hope that there were Democrats out there who could intelligently argue anything without threatening violence. Seriously. I have seen fights break out over a McCain person daring to wear a t-shirt bearing his name…But reading here gives me great hope that, although we differ on many things, we can have the debate in a civil manner and work toward unity on the issues on which we do find common ground. I look forward to some exciting days ahead in the political world with a McCain Palin White House and thank you for your efforts in getting them there!
Press on girls!! 2 more days to election day!
November 2, 2008 at 12:39 am
So Hillary Clinton endorses Barack Obama and not McCain/Palin, but none of you here support Barack Obama, yet you all claim to be Hillary supporters? I don’t get it. Bill Clinton is even out there campaigning with Barack Obama in Florida and Hillary spoke on Obama’s behalf in Ohio, so what gives with you folks? William F. Buckley’s son, who’s never voted for a democrat in his life, is endorsing Obama, Colin Powell & Ronald Regan’s son are also endorsing Obama. Are these all feeble minded people who are brainwashed? No. Does Obama have any power over these people? No, because he’s not even president yet. These people believe in his philosophy, his policies, and his ability to make and execute good decisions, which will have a positive impact on a majority of American’s lives.
November 2, 2008 at 12:46 am
I have not read your post here, but if you are criticizing Obama, you are therefore racist.
That is all.
November 2, 2008 at 1:58 am
Anyone with blogs or forums that wants to post the following, you have my permission:
ODE TO OBAMA
Obama, Obama, what is your plan?
If you are elected will we have been scammed?
Your past is as colorful as a Cezanne.
With a dubious past like no one before
A past that the media just won’t explore
Preferring instead to mostly ignore
The source of your numerous offshore donations
The depth of your colorful associations
That formed your ideological foundations
Bill Ayres, a terrorist, this we all know
And knowing him shouldn’t stop the show
But here’s what makes thoughtful people go “Whoa!”
He and a bunch of his like-minded friends
Pooled their resources, to willingly send
You on your way, to politically ascend
From community organizer to state senator
Why would they choose to help someone soar
Who didn’t share views considered hardcore?
Views that most of us find socialistic
Views held by radicals, views narcissitic
Views that a thinker would find quite simplistic
And then there’s reverend Jeremiah Wright
A preacher, I guess, who lives to incite
By dividing the nation between black and white
His sermons you heard for about twenty years
After joining the church to advance your career
In Chicago politics you needed his sphere
That’s what you claimed in the book that you wrote
Which Wright helped you title “The Audacity of Hope”
Yet when asked if you knew of his views you said nope.
But the man married you and Michelle
And later baptized your daughters as well
To not know his views your brain must be gel.
And then there’s ACORN about which you lied
When asked by McCain if you would provide
The whole truth about how you two are tied
You mentioned the role that you willingly played
As attorney to defend them, provide legal aid
But you never mentioned the training you gave
Now all of this wouldn’t matter so much
If a record you had that we could all touch
But there’s no record for you on which we can clutch
As a Chicago state senator your primary vote
Was “Present”, that’s certainly nothing of note
Yet to the US Senate you managed to float
And from there you launched your prolonged campaign
To be the next president so you can bring change
To a country your radical friends all disdain
So what kind of change might from you we expect?
You’ve stated out loud that you’ll redirect
Wealth, that a government instead should protect
But you want to take it from those who succeed
And use it to supplement those who’re in need
I don’t doubt you think that will plant the seed
Of opportunity for others, provide them a way
To acquire prosperity, to start a new day
But this is a fallacy from which you won’t stray
Economies grow from the bottom, you’ve stated
But your premise here is so simply negated
How many jobs has the bottom created?
Economies grow with the creation of jobs
(A 3 letter word, Joe Biden tells mobs)
And if you don’t believe me, just ask Lou Dobbs
And the formula for more jobs is well known
When taxes are cut, the economy has grown
This isn’t theory, it’s historically shown.
But the ideology you want to invoke
Wants “fairness” to benefit the downtrodden folk
But Obama, you know that is all just a cloak
With you at the helm and Pelosi and Reid
From our founding ideals we soon will be freed
No longer rewarding those who succeed
Fairness instead will insure year by year
That you will decide what we should all hear
And how our wealth to your ends will be steered.
No matter that history proves this will fail
Wherever its tried, all that prevails
Is to create in a people a desire to sail
From wherever they are to come here and feed
On the freedom providing a way to succeed
That your economic policies are aimed to impede
Bemoaning that civil rights failed to do more
To distribute wealth from wealthy to poor
This, your election will finally insure
And the basic principles on which we were founded
On which our forefathers carefully expounded
Which left the rest of the world quite astounded
Will in your administration come under fire
From more radical socialist views you admire
Reason enough for you not to acquire
The position of power, the helm of this ship
If the reigns of power are held in your grip
How far down the socialist hole will we slip?
So Obama on Nov 4, I hope that you lose
I hope that our country will thoughtfully choose
A President who has far less radical views
