Twenty-five residents of a Gainesville neighborhood woke up this morning to discover their homes had been spray-painted with an obscene comment about the 2008 presidential race. Several businesses were hit as well.
“This is clear voter intimidation,” Corey A. Stewart, At-Large Chairman of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors, said. “The residents targeted by these hoodlums all had McCain for President yard signs in their front yards.”
“Having your home defaced with obscenity because of political beliefs is a hate crime” Stewart said, “This is terrorizing the community.”
“Voter intimidation will not be tolerated in Prince William County. The residents notified the police. I am asking our Commonwealth’s Attorney to investigate. I will seek state and federal investigations as well. Prince William County must be safe for freedom of speech. If we can catch the reprobate who did this, we’ll prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.”
Stewart added: “We’ve had ACORN and other nuts kicking around down here in Prince William for weeks. I suppose this was bound to happen eventually. But we won’t stand for it.”
Here’s more of what the Obama followers did to this Gainesville neighborhood…but it uses expletives so the photos are after the jump. WARNING: they use foul language:

Does anybody know what has happened to NoQuarterUSA.com?
Did they shutdown intentionally for maintenance? Or did they have a technical problem? Or did someone hack into their site?
Makes me wonder, because it seems that they have been down for over 24 hours now…
If anyone has info, please let us know….I hope there was no mischief going on.

Throughout this campaign, I’ve been struck by the downright unpleasantness and intolerance of the Obama supporters.
I’m shocked by these photos, but sadly, not surprised.
Alas, I fear that this is nothing to what will unfold when John and Sarah win in November.

The MSM get more upset about a report of somebody shouting, “Kill Obama!” at a rally, even if the report is shown to be false.

To the Editors,
Please release the video you are holding and secreting of Senator Obama attending the celebration of Rashid Khalidi in 2003, reported on by your own writer, Peter Wallsten, in April 2008.
The video apparently reveals the close association of the Senator to a known pro-terrorist, anti-Israel, PLO operative.
By withholding this information to the public now, you are exercising undue influence on a national election, and I suspect, intending to use this information in an extortionist manner against a potential future president of the United States. Many of us would consider that treason of the highest order.

Editors, L.A. Times:
Release the 2003 video of Obama-Ayers-Khalidi. The fact of the video, and your collusion in keeping it secret is now widely known. It will be made public one day, and you will have to answer for it. What is it that you fear the public will learn from the video? On what grounds do you deign to determine that the information be withheld? Why isn’t Barack Obama calling for its release?

Baloney….the obama campaign is to blame for all of this. Had he not told the people to get in faces…and basically do whatever is necessary..we would not be seeing these things. This kind of hatred has not been present in past elections? Take the time to read what obama told his cousin odinga when he took the tax payer trip to africa..on how to run his election. The basis of this democratic election is corrupt from the top down. The democratic party has been totally ruined and as far as I am concerned…I will never trust them again. When citizens hear rev wright…full of hate..when they hear farrakhan..full of hate..ayers…full of hate..all the people associated with obama..full of hate..does that not transfer to our society? This country now has the largest division in history. That’s quite an accomplishment for the democrats. Can’t you just see them reaching out across the aisle? What a joke they are. The name of this election is POWER.

It happened to me for Hillary Clinton stickers on my car. I was driving down Melrose Ave when a man cut me off in traffic so I had to stop and he pulled along side of me and started calling me ‘whitey bitch’. This is not new. These are empowered ignorant idiots who think they have license for their brutal behavior because, in my mind, my opinion…the candidate gets a pass for telling different stories to different groups, flip flopping on issues and actually telling ‘folks’ he used drugs..all with out any scrutiny or consequence. The old saying goes..”he did it, why shouldn’t I?”
October 26, 2008 at 12:42 pm
Here was my email to the LA Times…
You honestly cannot believe that any goodness will come to your organization when you misuse your power.
Your suppression of the video of Barak Obama with Rashid Khalidi at an anti-Jew event is just one of the many karmic debts you will have to pay back. You cannot expect to manipulate such events in our history and not expect to have your hands slapped for thinking you could play God. When people dismiss or ignore truths to protect their own self-interests, they often find that in the end, they invite the same negativity into their lives. You play with fire and you do not understand what you will deliver upon yourself for such deceit. God sees all.

The Obama campaign is about to pull off the biggest election fraud in the history of our great country and it seems like there isn’t a damn thing we can do about it – except vote. The MSM is doing a really good job of suppressing the vote by overinflating their poll numbers. I think I’ve said enough – the Obamabots will probably be at my door within 24 hours.

I cannot tell you how happy I am to read your approved message. There is a frightening level of racial tension in the air. Very sudden and very tangible — and I live in a very happy, very tolerant area of the country.
It is so bad I am tempted as a white person to think: oh, just let them have this election because a loss for Obama is not worth the tearing asunder and the hateful accusations which will follow. Of course, in the next moment I think: we must NOT allow Obama to win this election no matter how intense the threat of racial disharmony… because if he wins, all Americans — black, white and brown — will lose the very principles which give us equal opportunity, security, and protection.
It’s a helluva mess Mr. Unity has made. He has guaranteed significant damage to America no matter who wins the presidency. But I’d still rather deal with cleaning up the mess under President McCain.

When I first saw Gainesville, I thought Florida. Interesting that this happened in Prince William Co VA since that area has been a hotbed of immigration activity (against). Heard from one pundit that Prince Wm was going to be a major county in VA to watch on election day to see how the state goes. It’s been traditionally red, but getting bluer. Guess we found ‘em.
October 26, 2008 at 1:44 pm
“Hal” has a point … this may or may not be the work of obama supporters. (I refuse to capitalize his name because I have lost all respect for him and his “team”.)
My take on the obama and his followers is that they prefer to do their dirty work in a very clandestine way … a way that doesn’t provide photos, the recorded word or documents that can be put out for public consumption … and enlightenment.
It is also more than likely that, should he be elected, these attempts to destroy those who dare to disagree with his regime (intentional word choice) will increase exponentially.
October 26, 2008 at 2:06 pm
Khalid taught at Columbia much later after Obama graduated from there. Was it a farewell dinner at Columbia? Maybe some administrators or students there made a video.
Does anyone have any friends, family members in the NYT? (Come on now, someone must b/c there’s a lot of Democrats there).
Can you, um, convince them that it is more patriotic to “borrow” or “squirrel away” such a video? Remind them that NYT is junk anyway and will die, so no worries about the job. We’ll all be silent on who leaks it. But please, I implore you, beg them to find a copy, or even a snippet.
I’ll e-mail these addresses.
October 26, 2008 at 2:15 pm
That is disgusting on so many levels! One thing I have noticed for a couple of years in the blogosphere – the far left wing-nuts are so vile and vulgar. And since Obama has become the Dem candidate, they’ve gotten worse. Quite frankly, I don’t get it. What are they trying to prove? That they know filthy words? Wow – that’s impressive. That they can have a public temper tantrum? Boring. That they are jerks of the lowest kind? Pretty much.
As my mother used to say, “If it weren’t for low class, some people wouldn’t have any class at all.” Certainly, if this is indicative of the typical Obama supporter, America deserves better.
October 26, 2008 at 2:23 pm
Altho NQ is not accessible right now, make sure to clear your cache and cookies too. That’s what they said to do when they moved.
The above is exactly what Obama’s campaign has endorsed. My McCain signs will be coming down this week, simply because Halloween is upcoming and I don’t want our house/car vandalized. I’m in Denver-and while they signage doesn’t compare to Kerry/Edwards in 04 (a lot less this year), I don’t want to risk it.
It is absolutely shameful that BO (after claiming to be “post-racial”) has done all he can to divide us and create mistrust. I firmly believe he will lose, I also believe that vandalism and rioting would happen even if he won. He has appealed to the lowest instincts of humans in his pursuit of absolute power. He’s pulled out class and racial distinctions and encouraged intimidation and dishonesty. And he’s gotten a pass from the collaborating media. Too bad they do not realize he will crush them too, given the chance.

October 26, 2008 at 3:09 pm
DO NOT BE FOOLED INTO VOTING FOR OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT UNTIL YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND WHAT HE IS ALL ABOUT. This is only a sample
Character-
-He won’t provide a valid birth certificate. Don’t even bother talking about the scanned copies, he needs to pony up the real thing and only then will he be able to put this one to rest. He can say what he wants, true or not, but the constitution requires the real thing.
-He legally represented ACORN in a voter registration dispute lawsuit, as well as, did training for them. He denies any association with them at all. This is patently a lie.
-He gave $800,000 to ACORN in order to help them perpetrate hundreds of thousands of invalid and illegal voter registrations.
Associations-
-Bill Ayers-Known terrorist, Don’t bother spouting off about Ayers “only being a guy in Obama’s hood” we all know there is more to their relationship, a lot more.
-Tony Rezko-
-Louis Farrakhan-Islamic Extremist, out of his own mouth, called Obama ‘the messiah’
-Reverend Jeremiah Wright- Racist, America hating preacher, direct mentor to Obama.
-Raila Odinga-Rabidly anti-Israel, Obama campaigned so much on his behalf, Kenyans complained to their government. Why did Obama feel the need to offer help to a super radical in another country? Setting the stage perhaps?
Education-
-How does anyone know where Obama graduated in his class at Harvard? Has he shown any of his records? Nope, because he won’t release them. Could it be because he received financial aid as a foreign student claiming Indonesia as his home? People who don’t have anything to hide, don’t hide anything. Obama hides everything and expects ignorant people to take him at his word.
Work Ethics-
-Obama voted ‘present’ in all of the votes that were conducted in the senate during his term.
Campaigning-
-It is so amusing to watch all of the liberal trolls out there, accuse the McCain/Palin campaign of using smear tactics. Republicans don’t need any smear tactics, Obama and Biden both give us all of the resources we need to show what they are really all about. We are only telling the truth given to us freely by the candidates themselves. The liberal trolls are only angry because we are not under the ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ spell that the MSM, and all of the ‘spiraling down into the abyss’ newspapers are under.
The Truth-
-It is only by the grace of God that Obama actually got caught saying out of his own mouth that he thinks it is a good idea to “spread the wealth around”. Obama has no plausible deniability of this idea; he can’t disassociate himself from it nor can he blame it on someone else. Obama is so good at refocusing the issues and denying anything that shows him to be the true character that he is.
- Obama has full intentions of removing us as a world power by eliminating or greatly reducing many of our defense systems. Don’t bother saying this isn’t true. There is a video of Obama saying these very things. Again, thankfully, he removes his own plausible deniability. Obama is a master as deflected anything that discredits him.
-Obama has made a promise with the UN to develop and implement the ‘Global Poverty Act’ in the UN. He would give billions of taxpayer dollars to the UN so they could use the money towards humanitarian efforts around the world. Please see the information below regarding the act. Please note the last line. Our own constitution would be infringed upon.
The Global Poverty Act is a bill currently in the U.S. Congress. The bill is co-sponsored by 84 representatives and 30 senators.
The Global Poverty Act would require the U.S. President to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to further the United States foreign policy objective of promoting the reduction of global poverty, the elimination of extreme global poverty, and the achievement of the United Nations Millennium Development Goal of reducing by one-half the proportion of people worldwide, between 1990 and 2015, who live on less than $1 per day. This would require the United States to increase its overall spending on Humanitarian Aide from 23 billion to 98 billion a year. This bill has been surrounded by some controversy because it also has stipulations that could infringe on the Constitution of the United States.

LOL @ the frantic McCainacs and their last minute desperation to sway voters away from voting for a black person. The blatant lies and intimidation Republicans will use to win is astounding.
They’ll make calls to try to create fear and doubt. They will propagate misinformation about voting. They’ll even carve up their face and punch themselves in the eye. lol. These political ploys are a trademark of the mentally unstable Republican party. Now, after one of most disastrous Presidencies most Americans have risen above such tactics and will in all likelyhood an elect an excellent candidate.

I believe the fault if obma is elected can be laid directly onto the MSM. They have been played for fools and have deliberately pushed obuma for nomination. They are the ones who have decided that Obuma is the one and have made sure no one hears anything against him. No truth about him.
If Obummer is elected and when he shows his true colors by censoring the MSM into saying just what he wants them to say and censoring anything against him, the MSM will know the truth. THEY ELECTED HIM and are to blame.
I hope to God that the polls are skewed and McCain comes out on top. It will be a monumental tragedy if Obummer is elected.
I was kind of thinking that a class action suite against the MSM stations would cause them to change their tactics. I personally would like to sue Tom Brokaw for his incredibly biased, so called, news.

We might presume that kids did this. If we were smart.
Instead, we leap to the conclusion (wishful thinking) that “Obama supporters” did this, even though there’s not a shred of proof.

Hah, what a joke!… :))
I think the Palin/McCain campaign really attempts to hit under the bellyline.
Where were all those vandalizing Obama supporters until now? Suddenly they all come out, brand women on their faces and spray swearings on neighboring homes? I’m amazed to see that there are people who buy into this :)
I think such cheap propaganda methods haven’t been used since the days the Nazi’s tried to rise to power.
Puke puke.. :p :))

October 27, 2008 at 8:40 am
This has nothing to do with “voter intimidation” and/or Obama support. This act of vandalism was most likely conducted by those immature, non-thinking people who don’t value any kind of free speech. Just because they hit houses with Republican signs doesn’t mean they’re pro-Democrat. Notice that the photos included don’t mention Obama’s name; it’s merely “fuck McCain” or “666.” Maybe they’re against the “base” of Christian conservatives. If this happened in my ‘hood (where we actually respect each other and my Obama sign is in my yard next door to my neighboor’s McCain sign), I’d chalk it up to ignorant piss-ants with too much time on their hands — and, sadly, wonder if the local school district was on break. This action doesn’t reflect Obama’s supporters’ feelings, just like it wouldn’t reflect McCain’s supporters’ feelings had it happened the other way. Most logical, thinking people will see right through the Board of Supervisor member’s comments about “voter intimidation” and the (catch-all blame) “Acorn.”
October 27, 2008 at 8:44 am
In Missouri 2 Democratic Senate members’ (Claire McCaskill and Russ Carnahan)homes were vandalized by McCain supporters. The vandals spray painted the property with words such as “Psalm 2″, “Traitor”, “Bailout for China is treason!”.
Just goes to show you, there are loonies on both sides of the political spectrum.
October 27, 2008 at 8:52 am
i hate to tell you all, but it was probably a bunch of high school kids who can’t even vote yet.
your words here about Obama supporters are just as hateful as those vandals. you should be ashamed.
October 27, 2008 at 8:53 am
Why do you think these are Obama supporters and not just stupid vandals? There is no basis for your accusation and this smacks of the same tawdriness as the hoax perpetrated by the woman who claimed to be assaulted just because she had a McCain bumper sticker.

Hmmm, unidentified persons with unknown political affiliation paint “F— McCain” on houses days after a similar attack on a McCain supporter was proven to be a fraud.
Are they still not shouting “kill him!” about McCain at Obama rallies? Just checking.
Yeah, those Obama supporters are out of control!
October 27, 2008 at 9:04 am
You people amaze me. You talk about the intolerance of Obama supporters. That’s like the pot calling the kettle black.
What was done to those houses was horrible. But that’s not what the majority of Obama supporters are about.
Just like those few wingnuts at McCain rallies shouting “off with his head” and “kill him” are not representative of most of the McCain supporters.
Just to set the record straight, I’m Republican myself and have been for forty years. I backed McCain in 2000 against Bush. That John McCain is long gone, having sold out to the very forces that torpedoed his run back then.
You folks should think about what you’re saying before you go blaming all Democrats for the things a few nuts do. It works both ways you know.
October 27, 2008 at 9:04 am
One nutcase with a spray can respresents a statistically insignifant sample of Obama supporters. The comments in this string, however, do suggest that the reputation his opponents’ supporters have garnered for being reality-challenged is not without basis.
October 27, 2008 at 9:05 am
Karl Rove tactics. Pure and simple. This is signature Rove.
October 27, 2008 at 9:06 am
A few days after an “attack” on a McCain supporter in Pittsburgh is proven to be a fraud, unidentified vandals with no proven political affiliation paint “F— McCain” on someone’s house.
Are they still not shouting “Kill him!” about McCain at Obama rallies? Just checking.
Yeah, those Obama supporters are nuts!
October 27, 2008 at 9:07 am
Anyone who actually believes that the Obama campaign or his supporters would condone this is simply looking for a fight. If this was done by Obama supporters (though there isn’t clear evidence that it was – “B” incident) then I do hope that those people are caught and prosecuted.
Those kind of people do not represent the sentiments of Obama supporters. As McCain noted two weeks ago, there are fringe elements on both sides that have done despicable things. Stop trying to get riled up by generalizing from a few idiots.
October 27, 2008 at 9:13 am
I am an Obama supporter, and would like to say for the people this crime hit I am so sorry. There are crazy people on both sides of every issue.
I am very sorry that such a thing has happened… Horrible
October 27, 2008 at 9:14 am
This kind of thing comes both sides. There is nasty voter caging and hate-inspiring commentary about Obama coming from Republicans. There’s the same kind of crap coming from Democrats. There’s also precedent that this kind of thing could have been done by a McCain supporter. I’m not saying this particular event has, but it’s happened before, on both sides.
Neither party has the high road. Both parties are guilty of ugly. Our nation’s problems are not going to be solved on forums like this where everyone gets angrier and angrier.
Wake up, guys and gals. Your team is no better than the other. You’re just willing accomplices to the cult of polarization and hate. Do you really think that’s the solution?
October 27, 2008 at 9:18 am
With the reasoning you all exude, its clear that all republicans are secretly gay and have sex with men in the airport bathrooms across America.
You all know better than this. There are plenty of idiots that support Obama, there are also plenty of idiots that support McCain, there are even a few idiots that support Barr. You are stooping to their level by claiming that All Obama supporters are vandals.
October 27, 2008 at 9:21 am
Holy s**t. You people are f’ing scary. You are acting just as radically as you are claiming “the other side” to be.
October 27, 2008 at 9:23 am
unfortunately, this kind of vandalism is not limited to mccain supporters. i had my car keyed and spray painted for having an obama sticker on it. these goons are in both camps, but thankfully they don’t represent the majority of voters.
as for all the people discussing the hate spewed by the democratic party, you should take a look at some of your own comments. ie “The only seat NOBAMA needs to win is the one called OLE SPARKY. Light that dude up baby. He is a liar, a thief, and a muslim.” (comment #67) Talk about hatred..

October 27, 2008 at 9:31 am
These disgusting acts of vandalism have little to do with Obama, his campaign or even Obama’s supporters.
They are the acts of mindless idiots. Saying that Obama’s supporters are guilty is like blaming every Republican for the state of the economy – after all, it’s your party and your Republican president who’s in charge.
Nice xenophobia in some of the replies above, too. Before anyone decries someone’s faith as being Muslim, perhaps they should venture outside the borders of their insular country to find that a vast percentage of the world’s population is Muslim. Or perhaps they should also note that some of America’s soldiers fighting abroad are Muslim? Being Muslim doesn’t make you a terrorist, and to think so makes you just as bad as the idiots who painted graffiti all over someone’s property.
October 27, 2008 at 9:36 am
First the McCain supporters lied about the young white woman being attacked by Obama Supporters and now this. When will you crazy repub-thugs stop the madness. Quit doing stuff yourself and then blame Americans that choose to believe that Obama will make the best President. For the record, I doubt very seriously if Obama supporters would refer to him as ’satan’. Might I suggest you get the spray paint out of your teenagers hands and come up with better tricks. Have you no shame? Perhaps my question will be…What crazy thing will you (repub-thugs) do next?

This is not funny. However, whether this is a Republican teenager supporter or a Democratic teenager supporter. The irony of this is that I’d very much doubt that anyone with any ounce of a brain would do this and if they did they should be prosecuted. White, black, green, yellow, whatever.
As for the statement calling for what rank did Obama graduate from Harvard should be released when this is not released from any other presidential candidate is ludicrous. So if Obama came out with the highest GPA or college standing would that mean you would vote for him or find another reason not to vote for him.
However, Obama did graduate Magna Cum Laude out of Harvard. Which is the top 10% of college graduates of the Harvard Law School.
So let’s see. Palin went to 5 colleges I believe to get her BA. McCain has admitted that he wasn’t serious in college and was a party-goer.
Bush was a C student in economics.
So does this mean that Bush should not have been president and that McCain and Palin should not be able to run for President?

When are you guys going to understand that this kind of sensationalism does not win elections? Obama has stayed the course, talked about his vision for America, and like it or not, is clobbering the other ticket.
Wake up gang, and talk about something substantive rather than about a few nutjobs that went haywire…

October 27, 2008 at 10:45 am
My car was vandalized because of an OBAMA bumper sticker on my car. They ripped the back wiper off my car, and bent the metal backwards. Then just last night I took my dog outside, and a woman who did not see me was trying to peel my sticker off my car. Someone stole all the Obama signs on our block. You see, your story is exclusive only to stupid people which lurk on all sides. It is not because they were Obama supporters, because there are McCain supporters (ashly todd, et. al.) doing some very disturbing things. My guess is they were just punks. So, don’t put all this vandalism on one side or the other.
October 27, 2008 at 10:46 am
By the way, none of the graffiti that you show says anything about Obama.
October 27, 2008 at 10:46 am
Dublicate?
October 27, 2008 at 10:49 am
A quick Google search reveals that, oh my, McCain is hiring people to graffiti his name all over New York City!
http://slkstn.com/data/images/2008/04/mccain-graffiti-nyc-20080315.jpg
Oh, wait, that would be jumping to conclusions and accusing McCain of something done by a few kids who would have been vandalizing in other ways, regardless of the presidential campaign (notice the “satanic” graffiti as well).
I would never defend the acts of those “hoodlums,” but I will defend the fact that this country needs someone more just in the White House. I think many of you would agree with that.
This country is in a lot of trouble and it doesn’t need people vandalizing, nor does it need people writing polemical and accusatory articles based solely on political party commitments and mentalities from which many of you cannot seem to pull yourselves out. If everyone took a moment to step back and see the whole picture, I think this country would be in a different place, a better place.
That is all that I would ask of you. I am not going to try to convince you of the correct candidate, but I hope that you take this and think hard about how we act as a country, how we react to news announcements (like the one above), and how we should vote for the candidate that best represents us internationally and at home. The critical element being to think hard!

Benjamin S.

As an Obama supporter, I’m shocked by this graffiti; I’m also shocked by some of the messages I’m reading here. Obama needs to be executed (is this ‘Ole Sparky’)? A liar, a thief, or a Muslim? Do you all believe that all Muslims are evil? Is the birth certificate brouhaha over whether or not his middle name is Mohammed? My kids all have classmates named Mohammed, and one has a friend named Jesus — what does this really mean? Just because some idiots are out there saying and writing heinous things doesn’t mean we all need to join in. This is a mob mentality that does NOT speak to the exceptional character of America.
October 27, 2008 at 11:07 am
C’mon, maybe the “Obama followers” is actually just a drunk fool.
October 27, 2008 at 11:13 am
Hmmm, trying not to get paranoid here, but I submitted a comment over an hour ago, and it’s not here. Wonder if that’s because I used the word “logic” in it.
Anyway, here’s the gist of it:
If this vandalism was pro-Obama, why would people simply write “Fuck McCain” and/or “666″? That just makes no sense. Even though the guy quoted in the article cries “voter intimidation” and (the always blamable) Acorn, there’s zero indication from any of the pictures that this was actually any kind of pre-Obama/pro-Democrat/anti-Republican action. From simply looking at the pictures, it appears to be anti-Christian. Since McCain/Palin — especially Palin — has been firing up the base. James Dobson recently released a scathing letter about the future under an Obama administration, dated 2012. Palin is highly evangelical and has said the conflict in Iraq is “God’s plan.” Since the vandalism notes Satan, the numbers 666, and merely “Fuck McCain” (and not, say, Go Obama), I think it’s quite a stretch to put this on Obama supporters. Though, maybe like Mc. Cain supporter Amy Todd, who scratched a backwards B into her own face, it’s just easy to put it on people who would support a black man.
October 27, 2008 at 11:21 am
I don’t know how much of this is voter intimidation and how much is just idiot kids.
October 27, 2008 at 11:22 am
I wonder if the Republican Party is beginning to regret, turning this into a race, hate campaign?
My guess is the people living in this neighborhood wished he had stuck to the issues.
October 27, 2008 at 11:23 am
It seems to me that these aren’t your average Obama supporters if they are, indeed, Obama supporters at all. Does any of the graffiti say anything about Obama, or is it just anti-McCain? For all we know, these could be Ron Paul, Bob Barr, or Ralph Nader supporters. Just a thought since not everyone out there is for one or another.
October 27, 2008 at 11:42 am

October 27, 2008 at 11:47 am
To be honest, I’ve seen similar spraypainted filth on places with Obama/Biden signs in the yard. Being from the North, I preferred to think the signs you show here are more of a Southern Cultural Phenomenon, but it’s not true. Unfortunately there are idiots all over and they don’t particularly support either party’s nominees. I wouldn’t read so much into it.
October 27, 2008 at 11:49 am
Does anybody know if maybe it was actually McCain supporters trying to make Obama supporters look bad? Know of a similar story where a group of vandalist got blamed as representing a group, when in fact they weren’t. Even if so, is it fair to say that it’s typical of McCain supporters to commit such an act? idiots!
October 27, 2008 at 11:57 am
Unfortunate that is for sure. I bet this neighborhood wishes that the McCain Campaign had stuck to the issues instead of turning it into a race, hate war.
I feel badly for what John and Sarah did to these families.
October 27, 2008 at 12:03 pm
Though you probably won’t publish my comment — like the last two I wrote –
According to the Inside NoVa community newspaper:
“Virginia Oaks Association President Andy Britton said he learned about the vandalism at about 10 a.m. He and other association members quickly began cleaning away the graffiti.
“It takes a bit of elbow grease but it comes off,” Britton said. “My thought was that you clean it up as quickly as possible to remove the incentive.”
The spray-painted profanity has been erased from the sign at the front entrance to the community off U.S. 29 and from many of the houses until the rain hampered some residents’ efforts. “It seems to have been one of those senseless Friday night pranks,” Britton said.
Britton said there was no pattern that he could see to why some houses were hit and some were not. While there are McCain-Palin signs in some residents’ yards, those houses were not always the ones chosen.
“It seemed very random,” Britton said. “We couldn’t tell what got hit for what rea-son.” However, he said he noticed damage was only done to houses on streets with easy access in and out of the neighborhood.”
October 27, 2008 at 12:09 pm
Funny, I didn’t see “Satanists for Obama” on any of those houses.
October 27, 2008 at 12:10 pm
Really now. So the world is binary is it? Everything is either white or black, right? Just because these people oppose McCain does not mean they support Obama. In fact, has any of the graffiti contained Senator Obama’s name? You are all a bunch of hypocrites because, YOU yourself are democrats who were sworn against McCain until Hillary left. By that same virtue, can’t these hoodlums just as easily be Hillary supporters/Democrats/random vandals just don’t fancy John McCain?
You are very simplistic in calling these ‘Obama supporters’. You’ve learnt well from Fox News.
October 27, 2008 at 12:13 pm
Food for thought:
This kind of vandalism and hate mongering behavior is also happening in California currently regarding the Proposition 8 “war”. Prop. 8 supporters signs are stolen immediately, their homes are being vandalized and defecated on, and many families have received death threat letters filled with obscenities – all of which have been reported to the police, but the media often glosses over or ignores. Two supporters have been severely beaten and hospitalized to date. As much as we can focus on this atrocious incident in Gainsville, and get riled up, I think it is more important to focus on our country as a whole. There is a severe illness spreading nationwide of intolerance and violence. Sadly, even this post is inciting Obama hatred. I do not support Obama – however, I suggest that we all use caution that we do not let our conversation and emotions sink to the level of these perpetrators.
Respectively yours

WOW…these possted messages are scarier than the graffiti on the walls…..WOW….can not believe the hatred in this country
October 27, 2008 at 12:26 pm
I think organized intimidation is giving them a little too much credit. This is case of vandalism first and foremost. These seem like hoodlums more than they seem like “Obama followers”. Actually they seem like satan worshipers from the local high school more than anything else.
I think before implying that these were Obama campaigners you should reserve judgment. Afterall that insane woman from Texas who beat her self up and carved a “B” into her own face turned out to be full of sh*t.
October 27, 2008 at 12:29 pm
Where is evidence that this was done by Obama supporters?
Why couldn’t be done by one of you who’s trying to falsely accuse the Obama campaign?
October 27, 2008 at 12:42 pm
This is how McCain’s machine works…if you can’t beat the other guy with better ideas, then make people afraid of him…
McCain has nothing new to offer, and his campaign, and all the blogs that surround it, are geared on one purpose…to scare people away from Obama and his message of hope.
Ironically, they’re shooting holes in their own boat.
October 27, 2008 at 12:59 pm
You can not like McCain and still not be for Obama. That was me up until a month or so ago. So relax with the accusations, people.

Yeah so much for peace-loving Obama. Won’t hear him condemning this. A lot of these thug gangs are Obama supporters. Feel sorry for them because they have no idea who or what they are supporting. Thus the reason they are in a gang. Besides, they have to support the one who will ensure their “baby’s mama” still gets her welfare check.

I hope those who perpetrated these horrible attacks are caught. That said, don’t blame this on the Obama Campaign… blame it on the extremists. Obama would rather these idiots not vote for him. He’s not out for their vote.
McCain supporters have been caught vandalizing as well. In Oklahoma an 18 year old and two 15 year olds were pulled over by an police officer after their vehicle was seen tearing signs out of peoples yard. They had stolen 55 Obama signs. Suppressing free speech, as these McCain supporters have done, are fascist tendencies.
McCain supporters have also thrown bricks through windows of vehicles with Obama stickers. This happens to both sides.
By reading the comments on this page, one would think only Obama supporters are horrible.
October 27, 2008 at 1:38 pm
Wow. Just… wow. You know, I keep trying to tell myself that “you people,” (crazy McCain supporters who believe that there really are questions about Obama’s education, citizenship, and patriotism) are fringe. A few zealot supporters. And then I see 135 comments, most of them so disheartening and uninformed or racist or just downright wrong (according to ever major news forum in the civilized world), and I really don’t know what to say…
I’m sorry that you are the way you are.
October 27, 2008 at 1:56 pm
How do they know it was Obama supporters who did this and not McCain supporters trying to make Obama supporters look bad? People should never assume who did what, in a race like this you never know…look at that McCain supporter that branded her own skin to make it look like an Obama supporter did that to her. I’m neither a McCain supporter, nor an Obama supporter..just for the record. Just saying that we should never make assumptions…
October 27, 2008 at 1:59 pm
It’s silly to think that this is anything other than run-of-the-mill vandalism. It may not be Obama supporters but considering they targeted all homes with McCain signs – it’s kind of hard to ignore that. I don’t doubt there are McCain supporters out there being disrespectful too.
Derrick said – “Won’t hear him condemning this. A lot of these thug gangs are Obama supporters. Feel sorry for them because they have no idea who or what they are supporting. Thus the reason they are in a gang. Besides, they have to support the one who will ensure their “baby’s mama” still gets her welfare check”
- It’s not right to say Obama would support that behavior because he probably wouldn’t. These are ignorant people who are in a gang with nothing better to do and I do think they know exactly who they’re supporting… unfortuantely. Obama’s tax plan is a welfare plan, which I HATE – and hate is a strong word.
For those that can be open-minded to learning more about Obama – this video link below makes some good points. It’s a little long but well worth it.
Six months ago, I wasn’t sure who to vote for but after doing lots of research (which I’m good at due to working in PR) I find that I can not ignore the choices Obama has made, his lack of leadership in his voting record, the people who have influenced him in his life that he calls a “mentor,” and the list goes on. I personally feel there’s just too much to ignore and still make him President.

Any violation of the private property rights of others whether it be by political zealots, religious zealouts or even the federal government is despicable and disgraceful.
The goons who did this violated the inalienable rights of those Gainesville citizens and are a blight on American society and Western civilization at large. Vandalism in the name of Obama should be punished. Vandalism in the name of McCain should be punished. If caught their ability to vote should be revoked.

Yeah, sorta like an Obama follower raped and marked the letter “B” on that fat girl.
Whatever.
October 27, 2008 at 4:21 pm
SO, BECAUSE THEY WROTE EXPLICITS ABOUT MCCAIN THEY ARE AUTOMATICALLY OBAMA SUPPORTERS? CAN THAT BE PROVEN? REGARDLESS…….. MEET YOUR NEXT PRESIDENT: BARACK OBAMA!!!!! I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL THE INAUGURATION. ITS UNFORTUNATE THAT SOME PEOPLE DID THIS TO SOMEONE ELSE’S PROPERTY AND YES THEY SHOULD BE PUNISHED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, BUT LIKE IT OR NOT SENATOR OBAMA IS QUALIFIED, INTELLIGENT, AND CAPABLE OF CLEANING UP THE MESS REPUBLICANS HAVE MADE….AND MOST IMPORTANTLY HE IS THE 44TH PRESIDENT OF THIS COUNTRY (COME NOV. 4TH)
NOW…..I AM BLACK AND I APPROVE THIS MESSAGE!!!!!!!!
= ) DONT BE ANGRY YOU ALL….VOTE OBAMA/BIDEN 08′
October 27, 2008 at 4:46 pm
There’s enough blame to go around on both sides, I would say. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081027/ap_on_el_pr/skinhead_plot
October 27, 2008 at 5:00 pm
where does it say vote for Obama or we support obama? sorry cant see it.
October 27, 2008 at 5:12 pm
Looks to me like the people who vandalized the house in the first picture supported Satan, not Obama.
We should look in to Liberal Satanic Factions in this gated community.
Or maybe they were vociferous third party supporters who just really hated McCain.
Or maybe it was McCain’s ex-wife.
October 27, 2008 at 5:30 pm
“John McCain Says:
October 27, 2008 at 4:12 pm
You are censoring comments, you communist bastards?
Hillary is a cunt!”
Wow this has to be the most intelligent comment yet.Your use of the C word is especially inspiring and speaks volumes about your I.Q. level.
On censorship,Why don’t you ask Barry and his cronies about censoring speech,he’s had a lot of practice lately threatening and banning T.v. stations, calling out radio talk show hosts, and even using “truth squads” to squelch any and all critism of himself.
October 27, 2008 at 6:06 pm
Did nobody think that “Hail Satan” was so absurd that it was kind of funny?
Where do they get that language, The New York Times?
October 27, 2008 at 6:06 pm
Looks more like a ‘false flag’ attack to me.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_flag
October 27, 2008 at 6:11 pm
So everyone concludes this was done by “Obama supporters”, including the “reporter” who wrote this article.
It looks like a backwards “B” scratched into their face from my vantage point.
One could surmise that maybe McCain supporters are willing to stoop to any depravity in the last days of their dying, rudderless campaign.
October 27, 2008 at 6:15 pm
and just because these people are against mccain there for obama?
no mccain does not equal vote for obama.
October 27, 2008 at 6:25 pm
Who wants to bet that this was done by a McCain supporter? It’s fact that one McCain advocate has already attempted similar shenanigans (causing destruction, and claiming it was an Obama supporter), only toward her own body and not toward neighborhood property.
This kind of behavior is not unheard of in the dying stretches of a failed campaign. When things are desperate, people become desperate. Desperation leads to vandalism and, in extreme cases, terrorism.
October 27, 2008 at 6:37 pm
I will start off by saying that I am an Obama supporter.
It is fairly obvious that the people that did this are Obama supporters, that being said they are sure to be on the uneducated fringe.
Also, for all of you that think that “wealth redistribution” is socialism, please go back to school. Socialism is based around government control of the “means of production”.
The current government has advocated (and implemented) socialism far more adamantly than any of the Democrats.
October 27, 2008 at 6:54 pm
This is a hoax perpetuated by McCain supporters just like the “B” woman was. The McCain campaign is in its death throes and this is the result. The 666/Hail Satan makes it obvious. It’s Satan supporters that are against McCain. I don’t see a word about Obama in any of those pictures.
October 27, 2008 at 7:04 pm
I’ll say what they would say if the situation were reversed.
The McCain followers did this to drum up support for their hate-riddled candidate.
October 27, 2008 at 7:07 pm
A very similar thing happened to me and some of my neighbors here in Florida. Every home with an Obama sign out front was spray painted. Even some cars were damaged. So, don’t think for one second that this is something that only Obama supporters do. In fact, no one really knows that these people are Obama supporters. I suspect they are a bunch of high school students with nothing better to do that to get into trouble…. similar to busting mailboxes with a baseball bat.
The previous poster might have a point. This could very well be the work of McCain supporters. But my money is on a bunch of bored teenagers.
October 27, 2008 at 7:15 pm
Pretty obvious hoax; some middle class white kids with too much free time and easy access to spray paint.
October 27, 2008 at 7:29 pm
Sorry, but after the Backwards B Incident, I’m going to bet this is the work of McCain supporters.
The Hail satan was a dead giveaway. Obvious plant by WASP’s in the McCain camp, as a last ditch effort to paint the Obama supporters as evil.
October 27, 2008 at 7:30 pm
[...] of people “clinging to guns and religion,” however. Cue that moron John Murtha. UPDATE: Then again, these are the kind of people who are after you if you support McCain. Frankly, they scare me more than a couple of skinheads. And there are way more of them, [...]
October 27, 2008 at 7:35 pm
This looks more like a bunch of punk kids with too much time on their hands trying to get on the news and not like a politically motivated attack.
Once the facts are in, we’ll see. It is disgusting for this to happen in any campaign and whoever did it deserves to be punished to the full extent of the law.
October 27, 2008 at 7:52 pm
I have no idea if this is real or not – what with Joe the Plumbers not being Plumbers, and Ashley Todd assaulting herself with a backwards B, I can no longer see these sorts of things and accept what seems to be simple and obvious.
But whether it is a hoax or a prank or not, the one who did this should be embarrassed. They embarrass themselves by flaunting their own stupidity, and they embarrass whoever they are working for by proxy.
If they really want to help whoever they are supporting for president, they should try volunteering or getting a job canvassing.
All this insane vandalism stuff doesn’t make me feel anything about either campaign. It just reminds me of how many stupid people America contains.
October 27, 2008 at 7:57 pm
That is absolutely disgusting. The recent rash of vandalism all over the country (including here in Missouri) is really getting out of hand. Destroying property isn’t a healthy way of showing support for a particular candidate. It just makes the supporters look like a bunch of fools.
October 27, 2008 at 8:06 pm
2 Chronicles 7:14
if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Here is the answer people.
October 27, 2008 at 8:39 pm
Well, I thought I had heard of most of these sites where people are still clinging to the notion that Mcain/Palin will be winning this election. The way they’ve poorly run their campaign and their increasing desperation, I’m not surprised if the Republican camp didn’t hire some bored kids to do it.
WAKE UP!
This election is over. I’m in DC and you will proudly see me hailing Barack Hussein Obama as OUR next president. You’re going to have to wrap your minds around it.
October 27, 2008 at 8:46 pm
If Obama supporters can be blamed for the vandalism above, then McCain supporters can be blamed for the plot to assassinate Obama
http://washingtontimes.com/news/2008/oct/27/atf-disrupts-skinhead-plot-to-assassinate-obama-1/
October 27, 2008 at 8:55 pm
To MMiller – Sarah Palin admitted using drugs too.
October 27, 2008 at 8:57 pm
I am an Obama supporter, with a strong dislike of McCain’s VP pick, Sarah Palin. That said, vandalism stinks. Damaging other people’s property stinks. Threats of violence, from ANY side, is a horrible way to go about politics.
Hopefully they’ll catch who did this.
October 27, 2008 at 9:25 pm
Can anyone doubt this vandalism is the work males under 25 years old and ‘chemically enhanced”, with alcohol or controlled substances? There never seemed to be a shortage of them in my experience in wealthy suburbs.
The pattern I see is some drunken boy vandalism gets blamed on Obama supporters by obvious right wing kook wingnuts [tm], who hyper ventilate and pound their chests from a little before lunch until well into the evening- Posting #1 is at 11:40am, #69, by GJ, is just after 3:00am. The guy going off about The Mainstream Media supressing the video that would reveall all posts just after lunch, the one about Obama’s birth certificate posted at 3:00pm. – fun little coffee breaks.
Most telling to me, and why I use the wingnut label, is the posters exchanging word on their hangout- “NoQuarter”. Sounds like a real raised pinky tea party, that.
People with a little skepticism arrive in the evening, after work, and get rubbished by the wingnuts, but dominate the following day, mosetly before lunch. The wingnuts are gone, actual quotes from people on the site of the outrage reveal that not all McCain/Palin signed houses were attacked… In short, less here to see than these in a perpetual state of outrage would like to believe.
I’m afraid the un-mentioned effect of George W. Bush being president is that the right wing kook community has been nursing their injuries and resentments in silence- the President is One Of Them and they’ll be loyal to him to the end- it was the Mainstream Media that made a mess of Iraq, after all, and Bill Clinton (and ACORN!) who caused the present economic crisis. Its not hard to find that and wackier stuff out there.
As targets, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are just not juicy compared to Bill Clinton, who was (and is) honey to those kinds of bees. The actual Barack H. Obama isn’t much of a target for them, he’s a very conservative (small c) person in many ways, which is why the right’s narrative about him rings so false. It won’t stop them and we can expect the discourse in our country to sink below the abysmal level it now occupies if the Obama/Biden ticket wins. We’ll be hearing about the black helocopters and Waco, Ruby Ridge and Whitewater all over again, along with racist, ethnic and religious hate-mongering.
The good news is that we’ll have managed to outlive the dipstick who was “selected” eight years ago. Someone once wrote that “God protects drunks, babies and the United States of America, because all three roll with the punches” (or other impacts) It’ll take the Russians a lot more than 8 years to be rid of Putin…
Bill
October 27, 2008 at 9:52 pm
Laquintaelridge and other orbarma supporters…Enjoy the last of the FREE scraps from the middle-class table before “he” wins. You will be living in filth. Get used to flies on your food and crap floating in your fresh water supply in the ditch. It will be a third world nation before long. I hope the UN gets the bag of wheat and bottle of water to you before you succumb to starvation. “But wait, Obama wouldn’t let that happen to his ‘peeps’. He is the new savior of the people. Weeeeeee!” Hehehehehe. Stay high and Good luck.
October 27, 2008 at 10:15 pm
Don’t ask me why, but I have this unexplainable urge to have sexual relations with John McCain.
CURSE YOU, SUBLIMINAL SATANISTS!!!
October 27, 2008 at 10:20 pm
Whenever I see a McCain/Palin sign or bumper sticker, I don’t commit vandalism or even get upset. Hell, I *WANT* these signs to stay up.
It will give me the chance to laugh at each and every one of them on the morning of November 5th, and these signs will make it easy to spot the losers.
October 27, 2008 at 10:36 pm
We better prepare ourselves for an Obama victory. He has pulled off the most successful voter fraud scheme in history and will win by fraud alone. His supporters out number us and are die hard, loyal and often fanatical. He very well may be the anti-Christ.
Life in Obama Nation will be bleak as he will undo our constituation, take our money, take our guns and force us into government housing and jobs.
Conservatives, never forget: It was George Bush’s failure the paved the way for Obama. We must vet our nominees better than we did back in 2000 and make sure the are at least center right. Bush is a leftist and his record as Governor of Texas showed us that. His liberal policies led to this mess this country is in and now it lead to an Obama Presidency.
October 27, 2008 at 10:59 pm
Dear Republicans: this is what happens when you act like gigantic racist jackasses. You reap what you sow. MAYBE if you cretins hadn’t spent the entire election spreading lies and hate, you wouldn’t now be targets for your very own children, who’ve clearly learned from your incredibly poor example.
October 28, 2008 at 12:44 am
This was obviously done by a McCain supporter trying to create a story and prey on subconscious racial stereotypes. Did Ashley Todd make a stop in Florida on her way back to Texas? McCain supporters are so desperate they will resort to almost any tactic at this point. It’s fun watching the death throes of the conservative movement. These are the tactics of a dying campaign and a dying party. In just one week, your time will be over. You can huddle up inside your backward churches and home schools while the rest of the country and the world moves forward. Goodbye and good riddance.
October 28, 2008 at 5:01 am
i don’t see how these are “obama supporters” besides the more accurate term, “mccain haters”. if there were actual words supporting obama, “obama supporters” would be accurate. if not, it’s simply an assumption.
political correctness still does count for something.
October 28, 2008 at 5:45 am
This seems almost obviously done by high schoolers who can’t even vote. Please don’t group us all in with them.
October 28, 2008 at 7:51 am
Not that we need any more proof of the Washington Post bias against the McCain campaign, but they failed to report this vandalism in the Monday paper. I know that if there was even one vandalism with a racial epithet, it would have been reported. I have never witnessed such obvious, blatant favoritism.
October 28, 2008 at 8:53 am
C’mon…
Do you really think any adult Obama supporters would do this? This is probably a group kids who are even old enough to vote. Or it’s someone doing this in order to make it appear that Obama supporters are out ont he streets vandalizing houses to intimidate voters…gimme a break…
October 28, 2008 at 12:05 pm
The dems are really trying to brush this one off.The only problem is,you people are worried about Palins outfit and you are voting for a man(Obama)who has yet to explain alot of key problems.Even if it was kids, where did they get the idea to do this? This country has become the biggest bleeding heart of the world and when it comes time for the world to help,I can promise you they will turn there backs on us in a heart beat.Voting for party or race is just wrong!
October 28, 2008 at 1:16 pm
We are at the verge of a race war.
I’m sick of Naggers….
October 28, 2008 at 5:25 pm
One more piece of proof (as if we needed it) that Obama and his supporters are Satanist/Muslim. I shudder to think of the debauchery that will take place in the White House during his reign.
October 28, 2008 at 9:37 pm
We are ON the verge of a race war, James.
I’m sick of idiots.
October 31, 2008 at 8:05 pm
How do they know they are Obama followers and not just nuts?
