A New Cabinet Level Department Under Obama Administration
The Corner points us to HR 808, the Department of Peace & Non-Violence. It’s a new cabinet level the Democrats are proposing. I’m not kidding. This is going to be huge. And expensive. And oppressive. Take a look at some of the offices:
- Office of Peace Education and Training
- Office of Domestic Peace Activities
- Office of International Peace Activities
- Office of Technology for Peace
- Office of Arms Control and Disarmament
- Office of Peaceful Coexistence and Nonviolent Conflict Resolution
- Office of Human Rights and Economic Rights
Was this pulled from a George Orwell novel? Perhaps this is pulled from the class list at Bill Ayers’ Peace School (ironic coming from an unrepentant terrorist), the curriculum of which, as CNN reported earlier this month, centered on a United Nations theme.

This isn’t a Department of Peace, it will be used as a Ministry of War to wage war upon the American people. One of the most frightening documents I’ve seen in a long, long time.

Truly frightening…one can only guess who Obama would appoint to such positions (and who would REALLY be running the show from behind drawn curtains). Obama scared the living daylights out of me and my family. I see this as nothing more than the impending attack on our First and Second Amendment rights (note how the bill requires “special consideration” when dealing with the media as well as advocates the development of “field-tested” programs intended to disarm law-abiding Americans). Be afraid, be very, very afraid.

Jeez, it just gets worse and worse. The utter naivete of this proposal is frightening. If people were so damned good, why do we need police departments in EVERY city and town around the entire world?

That interview is one of the most frightening things I’ve heard in a long time. And yet, the media stays silent.

So, the Dems want to redistribute the wealth, have a Dept. of Peace, eliminate the 401K tax exemption, and cut the military budget by about $120 billion (25%).
The US would no longer be a superpower and would just be another Western European-style socialist country with a decimated economy.
Wow, what a future! Oh, but it doesn’t have to be that way. There’s another choice. We get a chance to make that better choice in 8 days.
