We just got back from the Sarah Palin event in Indianapolis and will have a full write-up for you first chance we can get. It was an incredible day — one of the best we have had on the campaign trail for either Clinton or McCain.
Also, we wanted to toss in just a quick word about Ohio: we know Eeyores are in full pants-wetting mode over the Supreme Court’s decision to allow Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner to leave 200,000 questionable registrations on the voter rolls. We rode to and from Indiana today with an Eeyore who brayed about this every chance he got — convinced the Republican Party would just sit back and allow Democrats to swing Ohio with dead people, cartoon characters, and multi-voters.
First off, if you really believe the GOP will let that happen, you shouldn’t be on this blog, or even using a computer. You should be in a remedial reading class somewhere, or practicing counting with those little plastic bears. The next 18 days are going to be a nonstop ACORN festival — as Sarah Palin proved in her speech in Indianapolis today (more on that in a later post after we get some sleep).
But the thing Eeyores miss is what we are hearing on the ground in Ohio: Democrats, Independents, and Republicans are all equally disgusted by the actions of Jennifer Brunner. The only people siding with her are Obama supporters. Everyone in the middle, and all the undecideds, don’t understand why the Democratic Secretary of State is trying to force fraudulent votes onto the rolls.
They are disgusted by this.
In our anecdotal estimation, gleamed from speaking with everyone we know back home in Ohio, for every vote Obama would gain through voter fraud facilitated by Brunner, he’s losing two votes from Ohioans, mostly Democrats, who see this fraud as the little push they needed to vote Republican for either the first time in their lives, or since they left the party and started voting Democrat with Bill Clinton in 1992.
Eeyores don’t see anything but the red, flashing light of PANIC! in absolutely everything.
You need to CHILL.
Sarah Palin pounded ACORN and Obama HARD today in Ohio…expect more of that in the coming week, and in particular, more investigation into what, exactly, is going on in Ohio.
We heard a great line at the Palin rally today: it’s the Buckeye State, not the ACORN State for a reason.
Trust us: Ohio will go to McCain.
If you are on the ground there, please share your own thoughts, and we’ll post ours first chance we get.
We’re on the ground in Wisconsin canvassing for McCain from morning through dusk, working hard for the ticket we believe in.
Hey Eeyores: instead of braying and booing and wetting your pants, why not join us in something productive?
October 18, 2008 at 1:48 am
You know, the part of this article about Obama losing two Democratic Ohioan votes for every one he may gain fraudulently made me curious. I’m wondering if there are any former Obama supporters lurking out there. It’s okay. Come in, the water’s fine. Tell us your stories.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

No problem! I just changed my Depends.
ObamACORN may be icing the champagne but he will be crying in his beer.
October 18, 2008 at 2:22 am
YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!! YOU GO!!!
October 18, 2008 at 3:07 am
So when Ohio goes for Obama, what are you going to say?
Somehow I don’t think any real Democrats will vote for McCain because of Brunner (especially since she was backed up by the Supreme Court).
And the few faux Dems will be outnumbered by people who remember what happened in 2004.
October 18, 2008 at 3:11 am
You guys rock! :)
October 18, 2008 at 4:22 am
As I sit at my computer in my home in the very liberal State of New York, I practically tremble with fear and aggravation at each new report concerning the obama and acorn crises.
Your comments do make me feel a little better.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write, even while you were tired.
BTW I am quite jealous of you for being able to see Sarah. :-)

Hillbuzz it is sincerly appreciated what you are doing for the Country.God Bless.
October 18, 2008 at 5:43 am
Very interesting report. I was wondering if Ohioans would make sure to be at the polls on Election Day to counteract what may be thousands of fraudulent votes. Good to hear that is the case from what you are hearing.
If that were my state, I’d be out in full force calling up every Democrat I knew.
November 4th is going to be one wild ride, that’s for sure.
There was an interesting remark on Hannity & Colmes last night. Hannity said that since 1978 polls have always shown the Democrats to be ahead…and even when their candidate is winning, like Bill Clinton in 1992, the polling was off by 11 points in the end! I don’t understand why the media and the pollsters would continue to use questionable methods to conduct their polling. Wouldn’t they want actual numbers so that they didn’t look like idiots?
I was hoping the disaster that was exit polling in 2004 would change their ways, but apparently not.
This is why I’m not an Eeyore. I don’t believe those polls at all. The only way they are true is if ACORN manages to get all those fake votes in.
October 18, 2008 at 6:04 am
The Indy Star is reporting that 25,000 people were expected to turn out for Sarah’s rally.
I couldn’t get a ticket they sold out fast!
October 18, 2008 at 6:34 am
Bless you all..

Wow! Its good to get pep talk! A positive pep talk! Thanks.
October 18, 2008 at 7:27 am
God I needed this today! Now I can go and enjoy my wedding anniversary.
Bless you.
October 18, 2008 at 7:44 am
While it concerns me that the McCain campaign has to go to Indiana at all, I’m encouraged by your reports.
What does it look like in Wisconsin? It was very close in 2004, and Bush would have won the state if only a couple thousand who voted more than once had gone for Bush instead of Kerry.
October 18, 2008 at 8:03 am
I travel by car a lot in Ohio, where I live, and in neighboring states as well. This is purely antedoctal, but I am starting to see more McCain signs. Rural Ohio almost always goes Republican. But theses good folk do not always put up signs. The past week especially the number of McCain signs I saw is amazing. 2 or 3 to 1
Same is true in Upper Arlington, again another Republican stronghold. All summer Obama had several dozen signs up. No McCain. The last two weeks, and especially the last week, McCain signs are sprouting up all over the place. I would say now it is 3 to 1.
Back in 2000, when I was still a registered Democrat, I knew it was going to be a very close election based on the yard signs. When driving to the Cincinnati area the signs were evenly divided between Gore and Bush. And Cincinnati is a reliably Republican stronghold.
So for what its worth, more people are putting out McCain signs now.
October 18, 2008 at 8:36 am
Keep up the great work you are doing!
October 18, 2008 at 8:46 am
I live in Ohio, and I am from Indiana. You are spot on. McCain is the BUZZ!!!! The average “joe” is conservative in these parts. Obama is just too radical for the mid-west mindset.
October 18, 2008 at 8:52 am
I got to vote yesterday and let me tell you, voting has never felt so darn good! I didn’t even have to plug my nose or straight shot whiskey or anything. Nobama, noway.
We got out the vote yesterday, the Democratic vote for McCain. How ironic is that? I really don’t know many Republicans around here because I’ve been a Dem for so long. I talked to about 30 friends who are Dems last night to remind them to send in their ballots. Every one of them is voting McCain.
Keep that in mind when you read the polls. Being a registered Dem is not the equivilent of an Obama vote.
I also talked to a couple of people who are voting McKinney. There are quite a few people around here who would be regarded as “far left”. They can’t vote for McCain, but they view Obama as a complete fraud.
October 18, 2008 at 9:11 am
This Buckeye will NEVER accept ACORN. Shame on Jennifer Brunner for not protecting the voters of her state. Katherine Harris comes to mind the SOS in Florida, refusing to make an election fair.
For the first time in my adult life, I am proud to vote, Republican.
October 18, 2008 at 9:34 am
Actually, rather than dismay people, I think that alot of people across the country are LIVID about this, and it will motivate them to get out and pull the lever. I think that Ms. Brunner was so hell bent on pulling this stunt off that she got blinded to what everyone else was seeing.
Another reason for me to do my best to ensure a McCain victory. Keep up the good work.
October 18, 2008 at 9:49 am
For all those disheartened by the thought of an Obama presidency, here is a suggestion to brighten your day.
Drive to a suburb that you know to be is either politically mixed or traditionally Clinton territory and count how many yard signs or bumper stickers you see and then mentally compare to what you recall from 2004.
Is Obama’s support visually stronger or weaker than what you remember for Kerry/Edwards? If your neighborhoods are anything like mine, you will be surprised by the absence of yard signs, and even the smattering of McCain/Palin signs.
What gives?
If as we have been told by the TV, our papers, and the polls that the election is over, Obama has already won, and voting is merely a formality, why aren’t we inundated with those willing to slap their support all over their personal property? America loves a winner. Socially, we are hard wired to go with the perceived winner even if it goes against our inner grain.
I don’t care what the rigged polls say, I’m not seeing an avalanche of support, and I live in a blue state. There seems to be a huge silent majority waiting to cast its vote in November and it is not for Obama.
So everyone cheer up, grab a disheartened friend, and get some fresh air walking around your blue collar neighborhoods. You might come home with a smile on your face.
October 18, 2008 at 9:54 am
That is so awesome to hear!
I live in Nashville, TN and riding home yesterday they put out on the radio that illegals where ebing bused in without ID and where actually being able to early vote!
TN has gone Rebublican forever. And all us Hillary supports here have all siad McCain so there should be no reason for Obama to get TN unless fraud is involved
October 18, 2008 at 11:00 am
Fantastic job you all! Keep it coming.
October 18, 2008 at 11:02 am
Thanks for all your hard work!!! I’m always passing along your articles to the Minnesotans for McCain campaign!
October 18, 2008 at 11:03 am
We live in Ohio between the Acorn capitals of Cuyhoga County and Toledo and agree with your opinion of what is really going on here. We are reporting on events overall with our website. http://www.watchmenamerica.blogsite.com. We would all like to see Sarah here too as McCain is in Toledo today.

Thank you, Hillbuzz – you guys are great!!
October 18, 2008 at 11:41 am
I was wondering about all the Ohio PUMAs.
Yup. We do exist. Thanks for reminding us! Freat post!
October 18, 2008 at 11:56 am
Republican here from SW Ohio who worked very hard during the two prior GOTV campaigns in 2000 and 2004. Trust me, Ohio will go McCain. Too many converatives and “Joe the Plumber” hit a nerve with real people, both Reps and Dems.
Conservatives are, by nature, reserved and do not wear their ideologies and politics on their shirt sleeves. Few signs and public displays. Sort of stealth and methodical and calculating…that is why it is always a surprise to the Dems when they are surgically sliced and didn’t see it coming.
Interesting fact: The MSM would never allow a discussion of Ayers/Acorn out until Palin made it the mantra of her speeches. In another attempt to difuse the truth, they have made these the main topic of discussion for the past several weeks. Too smart, that Palin gal. Only Palin was able to get the MSM on board. Every time the MSM brings these issues up to deflect, they don’t realize the effects of what they are doing. Is this what is called “unintended consequences”?
But keep up the good work Dem guys & gals. If for no other reason, this election has made me more compassionate towards my Democratic counterparts. We are, after all, Americans and truly showing it this election. IMO, we both want to be center to our party and, with that, there is a tremendous amount of common ground.
…did I mention how politically savvy Palin is? And THEY think she is a lightweight!
October 18, 2008 at 12:10 pm
There was caller into Rush on Friday echoing much of this same encouraging sentiment. She said they’ve worked the last 3 elections for the GOP and this year there is a huge excitement force their for McPalin. They can’t keep signs and people are driving from Kentucky to get them. You can view the call at his website now.
October 18, 2008 at 12:21 pm
I am ashamed to admit that I am reluctant to put a McCain/Palin sticker on my car for fear of vandalism. The viciousness and lawlessness of the Obamabots scares me, I live in a liberal college town. But when I drive my kids through the rural surrounding area I see NOTHING but McCain/Palin signs and it cheers me. I work as a nurse and conduct unofficial polls of who people favor (subtly of course) and most seem to prefer McCain–how can the polls show Obama so far ahead?
October 18, 2008 at 12:42 pm
Jennifer Brunner truly is the new Katherine Harris. So, lets just hope she eventually slips into obscurity sooner rather than later.
BTW, I live right on the border of Delaware and Montgomery Counties in PA. You would not believe how many McCain-Palin signs are up here. Keep in mind this is an affluent, higher-educated, snob area (AKA Obamaland). But there must be a dozen McCain signs every block — one house has this HUGE sign that’s along the size of a movie theater screen. No joke.
October 18, 2008 at 12:56 pm
Thanks for all you do!
October 18, 2008 at 1:05 pm
How does a Colin Powell endorsement of Barack Obama sit with you guys, as PUMAs?
What about independents?
Is he tarnished goods? Does it seem cynical to endorse with Obama so far ahead?
It scares me that he will endorse Obama and steal the momentum that John McCain has gotten late this week. I see it is nothing but an affirmative action pick. Color over qualification. Am I wrong?
October 18, 2008 at 1:09 pm
I saw Sarah @ a rally in NH on Wednesday with my 9 year old daughter..It was so crowed Sarah made a speech for the people (thousands) outside Dover High School, with her baby on her arm.
Then she went into the school and ripped another speech for the crowd inside.
She is amazing in person..She makes you so proud to be an American Woman.
October 18, 2008 at 1:10 pm
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. This is now THE definitive site to come to, to learn about the true state of this election. I never thought I’d ever say this about ANY Hillary-based website in my lifetime but I say it with sincerity now.
Hillbuzz, I am sure glad you’re on the McCain-Palin side this time. You will make formidable opponents in any election! You are that good.
October 18, 2008 at 1:18 pm
Thanks for the information you have provided. There is hope yet! (Ummm…not the hopey/changey kind of hope, though!)
October 18, 2008 at 1:26 pm
Disclaimer, I am a Republican. I would not have voted for Hillary Clinton, but I did root for her in the primaries because I thought she was the best dem. I knew she would be a formidable opponent, but she didn’t scare the shit out of me like Barack does. So, a question for you guys now that you know who I am.

It is very interesting — now I live in LA, so it will go blue, but people here are not excited about Obama, they are just holding their nose and voting against Bush. I would not be surprised if McCain gets more votes here than GB got in 2004 (Bush got over a million in LA County) — there are no yard signs in my suburb for Obama. None. A few bumper stickers, but that is it. I walk every day and I have yet to see any excitement.
October 18, 2008 at 2:26 pm
This is great news. I want to thank you guys for doing such a great job. You’ve inspired me to raise my voice and I started my own blog site at http://www.watchmenamerica.blogspot.com where I plan to help bring down Mr. Obama’s corrupt campaign. I believe the bloggers and the internet will be instrumental in changing the course of this election. Once again thank you and keep up the good work!!! Yours truly, the Watchmen.
October 18, 2008 at 2:33 pm
Colin Powell endorsing Obama would mean he is truly not a patriot. How can anyone that loves America vote for a candidate that has been endorsed by Castro, Chavez, Odinga etc.? Powell certainly must remember the days of Ayers and Dorhn, how can he endorse a candidate that associates willingly with domestic terrorists? If he does endorse Obama it will be an incredibly racist move and he will forever be tarnished.
October 18, 2008 at 2:40 pm
Terry,
I live in LA and will be voting Republican first time, and know three other people who will do the same. So no matter if CA is blue, make sure you get out and vote, and never say never!
As far as Colin Powell endorsing Bo, I don’t think he will, but if he does, the only ones who will care are the obots.
October 18, 2008 at 2:41 pm
Bryn Mawr PUMA, are you in Bucks County, PA? I heard one of the pundits say its the county in Pa to watch since this county will determine the outcome in PA. Earlier, I’d heard it would be Lackawanna County (Scranton). Glad to hear the news is good where you are.

This infuriates me! I’ve fought illegal immigration for 4 yrs. and they have voted before, one town in Tx. had 854 of them vote. Obama is fixing this election, and right out in the open for all to see! And his followers look at him like they have just seen a god…do they actually believe he “will fix the world” as he says?
Something is very wrong with a person with such enormous ego that claims he can fix the world!
When he was in Germany, what wasn’t reported in our papers was some German politicians thought he acted like he wanted to be President of the world, and said he would not tell them what to do about their armed services or anything else!
Also, two Ohio women called Limbaugh yesterday, said they were Dems, and are so mad at what is going on, they are going to vote straight Rep.

I have actually already sent in my ballot! I am actually flying to Denver to stay with my Dad and work on the McCain campaign Nov. 1-4 in an effort to help Colorado stay red!
Go McCain-Palin 08!

I drive an hour to get to work and what I have noticed are NO presidential signs. Not for Obama or McCain. You see signs for local candidates and that is all.
Other years you saw Presidential bumper stickers, signs, etc. This year, nothing.
I am driving in Western New York. I drive in the country which is mostly Republican and then drive to the city which is mostly Democratic. No one is excited about this Presidential election in this area.
October 18, 2008 at 4:41 pm
To Kay and others the blog was http://www.watchmenamerica.blogspot.com. Sorry about that. And I guess McCain will be in Toledo tommorrow, not today

I’ll be damned if we Americans will stand by and let this communist, Marxist, Leninist, Fascist take our great country.
God Bless America!!
GO McCAIN/PALIN!!
October 18, 2008 at 5:20 pm
I’m a conservative, so hanging out on a pro-Hillary site is not something I would normally do. But you guys seem to have inside scoop on the campaign that I can’t find anywhere else.
Let’s make a pact. Defeat Obama now. Then work tirelessly over the next four years to register every legal voter we can and promise to jointly demand transparency in the elections process.
Then, in 2012, may the best woman win.
BTW, I love the way y’all ignore the trolls.
October 18, 2008 at 5:25 pm
I never thought that my favorite website for election news would be one run by former Hillary supporters. You have saved my life. I need your input on a daily basis as much as I need my caffeine shot every morning. Thank you so much for your well-reasoned commentary on the events (both bizarre and surreal) during this election time.
October 18, 2008 at 5:29 pm
if Powell endorses the fraud, I will lose all respect for Powell.
I had finally gotten over powell’s lies at the UN, and I felt under Bush, powell was somewhat trapped, although I still wish powell would have stood up for what he knew was untrue!
If powell endorses the fraud, knowing full well of the fraud’s domestic terrorist friends like Ayers and Dorn, and convicted felons like resko, and the fraud not saluting the american flag, not visting our wounded troops in germany, someone with barely 150 days in the senate b-4 running for pres. THEN as a PUMA who really respects Powell, I will look at powell as someone who chose his race over content of character, and powell would have thrown his respectable career down the toilet, and for what? to pick someone solely based on RACE!
and to pick someone b/c of their race, and not content of their character IS RACIST!
October 18, 2008 at 7:21 pm
What scares me is that the early voting seems to favor Obama and people are early voting in record numbers. I don’t want Obama to get such a huge lead from early voting that there is nothing McCain can do.
October 18, 2008 at 8:36 pm
XO I don’t believe you where is your proof?
October 18, 2008 at 10:35 pm
I agree with Tibbs. The early voting hasn’t amounted to nearly as many as expected. If everyone can’t wait to vote Obama in, where are they? Not including the bussed in ones.
