I am a Chicagoan living abroad. What I’ve seen is that most foreigners want Obama to be elected. Nothing against foreigners, but what is clear is that foreigners are not looking out for the best interests of the U.S., but for their own best interests. That’s why they love Obama. They want foreign interests to dictate what happens in the U.S. That is what Obama is going to give you. I’m really dismayed that Obama chose my home state, Illinois, to make his political stand. This guy, at the very least, is from Hawaii (if not elsewhere). And Hillary Clinton, who is from Illinois, left to represent New York. I’m more dismayed, but not surprised, that Chicago is lending its political support to this guy. He won’t even send his kids to public school in his home district. What does that tell you about the schools in the area Obama represents?

Knowing politics in Chicago, I’m not surprised that Obama might have all these shadowy connections mentioned here. But to promote that to the White House is over the top.

To all concerned voters here, get together and vote your conscience. If you really believe Obama is trustworthy and sufficiently known, vote for him. But if there is any question about him, his candidacy can wait. He’s young. Let him show us he’s willing to go the long haul to be president. The White House is not a good place for him to prove his loyalty to his country.

McCain has made some screw ups in his career, like many people, but he is a known quantity, and there is certainly little to call into question his dedication to the U.S. McCain is hugely experienced, even Biden won’t question that, and he has knowledge of defense and foreign affairs.

Don’t vote on a knee jerk reaction to the current moment of the economy (the economy moves in cycles and will rebound). The person who becomes president will determine what happens in world affairs for the next 4-12 years. Make sure it is a person who has already been tested, not a person who wants to be tested during his term in office.

He is a Christian. He gave documents to the Chicago Tribune months ago documenting his relationship with Rezko. And as for connections, are you going to do a story about Palin’s connections to AKIP? How about McCain’s transition head who lobbied on behalf of Saddam Hussein? McCain’s relationship with G. Gordon Liddy? Are you going to do a story about how Cindy McCain is a drug addict and a thief? Are you going to do stories detailing that the McCains have an open marriage? How about one of his major supporters being a war profiteer? These are verifiable truths and you can discover the truth for yourselves. Do you honestly believe this crap or do you simply find it unimaginable that a bi-racial guy can achieve greatness while you languish in your ignorance? My nephew is an FBI agent. For what it is worth (and he’s an Obama supporter, go figure…), he says that given Obama’s past connections he wouldn’t be able pass the basic governmental background check required for FBI agents. Yet he’s qualified to be our President?

I know that in this election cycle, there is still a fair amount of time but it is looking grim for John McCain. I am NOT looking forward to the growing socialism in our country and will work to do what I can to stop it.

As for healthcare, for everyone who thinks that Obama’s universal healthcare is a great idea, consider outpatient surgery and emergency care done at the pace of the slowest DMV in the nation. I know that our healthcare system has plenty of problems but his solution is not the answer.
