We know we’ve been really subtle about this around here, but we think Claire McCaskill is a terrible person. Not sure if you’ve ever picked up on that, but it’s true. She’s terrible. We’d rather drink skunk juice or read one of Nancy Pelosi’s books, cover to cover, than spend any time with McCaskill — let alone share an ear piece with her…and with good reason, as noted below.

McCaskill was stepping out of her chair at the end of an MSNBC interview, and Romney was up next. She and a staffer unplugged her various wires, and she handed Romney the earpiece the guests use to hear the host.

“I spit on this before I put it in,” she said to Romney, with a sweet smile.

Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom emails: “You should have seen what she did to the chair.”

NOTE: We know things are bad at last-place MSNBC and they constantly have to find creative new ways to cut corners (thank goodness Tim Russert’s no longer around, because the bakery bill at the network for cake and doughnuts has been cut in half, saving thousands monthly). BUT, seriously, don’t you think MSNBC should have more than one ear piece, so Governor Romney doesn’t have to share a spit-drenched ear piece with Senator McCaskill? Honestly — even a last-place network should have at least three or four ear pieces, so people wouldn’t have to share like this.
