I am so pleased to hear the L.A. president of N.O.W. call Sarah Palin a feminist. We need to begin recognizing this term as more inclusive of ALL women who forge their own way and lead others, regardless of their politics.
The letters I’ve been getting from N.O.W. in my inbox are sexist in their own way, as N.O.W. tries to convince me that as a feminist I cannot possibly support Governor Palin. Apparently N.O.W. only condones a certain kind of feminism. That is very disappointing to me.
I disagree with the McCain-Palin ticket on a number of issues, but as a feminist myself I am proud to see Governor Palin step up to the plate, blaze this historical trail and vow determinedly to lead this country on behalf of its citizens.
Sorry, N.O.W. I guess your time has passed. You no longer get to define feminism. Deal with it!
It’s about time! Why let NOW, NARAL, and the Democratic party decide on who the feminists are? Hillary and Sarah are two strong women who stand up for what they believe in… get over it haters!
I am relieved to see a true feminist. NOW has never been the voice for me as I am conservative. Finally someone who truly supports women, not an a agenda.

That line from Bill at the convention. The power of our example, rather than the example of our power. Suits Sarah’s brand of feminism.
Now if she’d only move beyond the word “tolerance” when she speaks of the gay community. Oh right, religion and politics.
Hillareeeee..come back.
