Wow — one of the worst people in America today sank to a new personal low.
Donna Brazile actually said today on CNN that she feels it’s fair game to attack Bristol Palin, Sarah Palin’s 17 year old daughter, who will be marrying her high school boyfriend and having a child.
This, after Andrew Sullivan and others perpetuated the vulgar story originated on Daily Kos this Saturday that Palin’s daughter Bristol was actually the mother of newborn Trig Palin, and that Palin stole the plotline of last season’s Desperate Housewives by faking her pregnancy so that she could claim to be Trig’s mother and not his grandmother (since the lies claim Trig is Bristol’s son, not Palin’s).
This is just ridiculous.
SoetorObama’s surrogates in the media have hit a new low. Even for them. For people without standards and slimey reputations to begin with, this is really a feat of accomplishment in a perverse way. People who are already so terrible to begin with just got even more terrible.
We didn’t think that was even possible.

Brazile has really gone over the edge. I wrote her an email from my heart and tried to explain how we all feel. She emailed me back!!! This is what she said:

Not all surprised by Brazile, particularly after she called Hillary supporters “vile and repulsive” for not supporting Obama. Then, too, are the 5/8/08 remarks (see YouTube) that “older, white” voters were no longer desirable in the “New Democratic Coalition.” That was the day I turned my support to McCain, and have never looked back. To lala, above, yes, the truth did hurt, but no longer, now that I’m backing the winning ticket:)

I find Donna Brazile’s attitude to be terribly naive for someone placed in such a lofty position. Most of us would expect much more from such a person.
It is a sad situation that many of us in the Hillary Admiration Society find ourselves in. We didn’t leave the party, the party LEFT US! There is only one choice: McCain/Palin. At least John McCain has given us a new place to call home. The Obama cult crowd lost me at hello and has disenfranchised so many long-time Democrats–and for what exactly?

I used to like Donna Brazile – really. I thought she spoke well for the liberal wing of the party.
But I think her ethnic pride destroyed her objectivity. I think as the public “gets it” about Obama and his campaign morphs into meltdown, Brazile is having a public political breakdown, flailing away blindly – anything that moves is a target.
It’s sad. When this political season is over, there will be very few pundits, analysts or journalists left that I will ever listen to again.
