For those just catching up on things, Barry Soetoro is the name on Obama’s birth certificate. This appears to be the reason Obama has refused to release his birth certificate (the way John McCain already has done). We personally have believed that Obama’s birth certificate read “Barry Dunham”, which we thought Obama’s mother called him as a child. However, it appears GOP operatives in Hawaii have Obama’s actual birth certificate now, and Barry Soetoro is who he really is.

It seems Obama was adopted by his stepfather, taking Soetoro’s last name, and Barry as his first name. A new birth certificate in Hawaii was issued at the time of the adoption — and this jives with what Indonesia’s school system has already said about Obama: that he attended both a Catholic and a muslim school as “Barry Soetoro”, not as Barack Obama. It seems at age 20 “Obama” also had an Indonesian passport, which he used to travel to Pakistan with a longtime close personal male friend. This could be why someone pulled Obama’s passport file at the State Department earlier this year: to see if any US passport records pegged Obama in Pakistan in 1981. Well, they wouldn’t, because it would have been his Indonesian passport that recorded that trip.

Dual-citizens do things like this all the time: people with both a US and Swedish passport, for instance, can go to Cuba, using their Swedish passport, but would not be allowed into Havana with their American documents. So, it looks like Barry Soetoro went places using his Indonesian passport that “Barack Obama” couldn’t go — and now, in 2008, “Barack Obama” is reaching heights “Barry Soetoro” could never have dreamed of.

It’s a tale of two names, two identities, and two different people, really, unbelievably close to becoming the Democratic nominee.

So, it will only be a matter of time before some clever people with Photoshop start remaking the Obama campaign’s posters and logo to call attention to the fact he’s really “Barry Soetoro”, and not the person he’s been pretending to be.

Not quite as eye-catching or Oprah-tastic as that big, ubiquitous “O”, is it?

But, honestly, it’s a lot closer to the truth — not that the media will report on any of this, because, just like the John “bathroom-hider” Edwards scandal, the media is so deep in the tank for Obama that reporting anything bad on him will truly erode the last vestigial traces of trust the public has in the mainstream media/Obama propaganda machine.
