Obama – the biggest celebrity in the world – is being finessed and feted in Switzerland by none other than gorgeous George Clooney.

This breaks several of the rules Democrats need to adhere to if they have a chance in the fall:
(1) Can’t be seen with George Clooney (darling of the liberal left, current male personification of Hollywood and the jet set scene…he’s basically kryptonite to credibility with centrist voters).
(2) Can’t do too much that’s beloved in Europe (already overplayed that with the Rainbow Tour)
(3) Can’t do too many things that are unrelatable to most Americans (lavish party in Switzerland? Why not just go on vacation in Hawaii for a whole week too? Yikes…he’s doing that as well! And we won’t even get into Michelle Obama complaining that $600 can’t even buy her new earrings. What’s wrong with her?).
This is a big mistake, folks.
As gorgeous as he is, too much affection from George Clooney is just not a good thing for a Democratic candidate. Those bedroom eyes, that Hollywood suave, the jet set pals. Yes, Clooney is alluring, but Obama should resist those charms (no means no, George, even if Obama’s eyes say yes, yes, yes!). Obama might end up at prom with Clooney, feted and balled and wined and dined, but he’ll end the night the way Clooney’s actual prom date probably ended it — and waking up the next morning realizing you’ve lost the respect of a great many people who can’t relate to you anymore is one heck of a price to pay to spend quality time with George Clooney in the Alps.
They do make one hell of a couple, though, We gotta say. Just dreamy — in a very Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, buddy picture sort of way.
